We had an absolute magnificent stay at the Snow House. Maryellen is a superb host who provides a comfortable, welcoming experience for guests. Our family included our mother aged 93 all the way to a 9 year old. Everyone felt at home. Maryellen goes above and beyond to help. We just can't say enough about how much we loved our stay. We just may make this an annual family vacation destination!!

This was the perfect place to enjoy the end of Stratton skiing. Convenient to the mountain and dining. The house was better than expected, beautifully kept and set up with everything we needed! Thanks for the wonderful memories!!

Our family instantly feel in love with the house and all of it’s accommodations. The house had every thing we needed and more to make our stay comfortable and fun. The homeowner went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We are looking forward to renting the house again next year.

We just returned from our family trip to Vermont and this house was outstanding! It truly is even more beautiful than the pictures show. Plenty of room for everyone to gather and also spread out. Maryellen was a perfect host. We definitely plan on going back!

Maryellen's home is warm and welcoming. The house itself is well appointed, stocked, furnished and equipped. There is plenty of space for a large group to spread out and relax, and there also are nice, quiet spaces to curl up with a book. The pool table and fire place were big hits with our family (as well as the gym), and the location can't be beat -- very close to Stratton and the Winhall Market, and a short drive to Manchester Village. Maryellen is a friendly, responsive host. We highly recommend this property!

After our usual Indigenous Peoples Weekend house was sold, we were on the hunt for a new option. This place was perfect for us. Our group of 3 families have been spending this weekend together for almost 50 years! Lots of space to spread out, a beautiful well equipped kitchen, plenty of seating for everyone. Kids loved the pool table and the adults loved the hot tub. Beautiful piece of property close to town and nice, quiet and clean. You can tell this house is well cared for and loved. Thank you for sharing it with us. Would definitely rent here again!

We had a wonderful long weekend in late Sep/early Oct. We had a party of seven adults for a hiking trip. Our location was close to hiking trails as well as downtown outlets. We cooked our meals in a fully stocked gourmet kitchen. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and both the outdoor and inside fireplace. The was a full shed of seasoned wood that made starting a fire easy. Our entire party was very happy with the rental and we all would love to come back again.

Family of the bride enjoyed a comfortable place to relax between all the wedding activities. Would return to spend more time exploring the beautiful area. Lovely home with everything we needed and more. Host was very helpful before and during our stay.

We had a wonderful time at the house - plenty to do in summer including hikes, swimming holes, local farmer's markets, nearby ski mountains. The local mountains (Stratton and Bromley) have wonderful outdoor activities during the summer. The house had many bedrooms/bathrooms and was comfortable for a large group of 9. We wanted a quiet, relaxing week in the country and this place was perfect. The house has charm, character plus all the conveniences for a great stay. There was something for everyone in our family. And the owner was very helpful and communicated well.

Everything we needed was here including extra towels for the hot tub. The beach at the pond was awesome for our kids, the grill was great for bbqing, A+++, would definitely visit again!

The Snow House, as it is named, was the perfect location for our annual family reunion! Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains, with close access to classic Vermont general stores and pubs, and beautiful Manchester Vermont within 20 minutes, there is so much to do and see. Our favorite though was relaxing down by the swimming pond that is shared by the neighborhood. During the week we had the pond and tennis courts to ourselves. It was just great. Maryellen is a great host - very easy to reach and super responsive. We are grateful people like her share their property with others. Thank you, Maryellen!

We booked this for a family ski trip long weekend. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The house was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was large and had all the necessary items to cook for a big family. There was a thoughtful welcome package upon arrival and the communication with our host was excellent. Hot tub was clean and easy to work after a long day of skiing. We had 5 adults and 4 teens/kids and everyone was happy!

I've seen many rental properties near ski mountains and sadly some owners take advantage of COVID and hike the price for a mediocre place. NOT THIS PLACE. The owner is honest and true to their descriptions. We were greeted with a nice note and basket with maple syrup, jam, and chips (even dog food. Wish we had a dog). The place was spacious, clean, warm, and had everything we needed and more. Everything was so organized. The house looks much better than in the pictures. Every detail in their house was so well thought out. We wanted to rent the place again, but it's already booked even for 2022! Guess we have to keep checking back to see if anybody cancels. Thank you for sharing this gem with us.

This was a great experience, from start to finish. The owner’s communication was quick and detailed. The home was very clean-maybe the cleanest VRBO I’ve stayed at. It feels much larger than the photos look. As two families, we had plenty of room to spread out and relax or find a quiet place to nap. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, bowls, utensils, etc. We would rent this home again in a heartbeat!

We had an aweskme time this past weekend at this beautiful home. Plenty of room for two families to spread out and hang out after a great day skiing. Kitchen was very well stocked and the hot tub, pool table and fireplace were big hits with everyone! Can’t wait to come back again soon!

We stayed over a long weekend in January 2022 to go skiing at Bromley and Stratton. This house is in the perfect location for a short 10-15 minute drive to both mountains. The house exceeded all expectations and seemed larger/nicer than in the pictures. The house had a true rustic Vermont farmhouse feel to it, while also being very comfortable with updated amenities. The hot tub was clean and easy to use, it was a big hit with our group! The kitchen was spacious with everything that we needed to cook large meals. All the bathrooms were extremely clean and seems like they have been recently renovated. For a house this large, sometimes you can have some bedrooms colder than others, but the house was evenly heated and everyone was able to get a good nights sleep, even with temps in the -20s at night!! Firewood was readily available for us and we had a fire going in the large fireplace each night. The game room was also a great feature with the pool table and all the awesome sports memorabilia to look at. Our host, Maryellen, was easy to communicate with and very helpful throughout our stay, she is the perfect host. The ski storage room was key for storing the skis/boots/jackets/etc, along with the large capacity boot dryer...this is a critical feature for any ski trip. We hope to be back again next year!

What an amazing stay we had in January 2022. Beautiful and very spacious home ...wonderful amenities especially the new hot tub! Our family thoroughly enjoyed this special place in beautiful Vermont...and the home's proximity to Stratton Mountain. We'd love to go back again!

Due to the photos and reviews we had high expectations but the minute we walked in - our expectations were exceeded! Mary Ellen's family home in Winhall is impeccable, cozy, welcoming and lacks for nothing. It is spacious, filled with light, equipped with everything; surrounded by beautiful forest and incredibly quiet and peaceful without feeling remote. To repeat the cliche, the photos - as nice as they are - don't do justice to the open space and all the living areas. The kitchen is amazing - fireplace was the preferred gathering area. Hot tub, pub/game room, so many private sitting areas - the outdoor space - just wow! The area offers all you need - Winhall Market is a great resource and there are just enough establishments 5 minutes away (a great craft beer store)- next time we'll tear ourselves away and hit up the Red Fox Inn and Honeypie - we just were too comfortable to leave the cozy confines! Stratton is a stone's throw but you would never know you're so close. Thanks so much for opening your home and for being such a great host! Our family created great memories!

Clean home, true to description. Would stay again.

This was our best stay in Vermont yet and we've been visiting for over 25 years. The property is so quiet and peaceful, beautifully appointed with everything you could need or want including lots of living spaces for everyone to enjoy. The hot tub was well used as was a great evening enjoying a fire in the fire pit. We had room to gather and catch up, plenty of space for cooking and dining. It was easy trip to the village of Winhall for dining and supplies and quick trip to Manchester and Bromley. The hosts could not have been more wonderful and responsive. I feel like I made a friend. STAY HERE! You will love this home!
