Our family of 17 (8 adults and 9 children) had plenty of room in this beautiful house. It is well-equipped and Karen (the owner) has thought of just about everything. The beach was a short walk away (chairs and umbrellas were ready for us). It was perfect for us. Karen is very personable and accommodating. She responds to any questions immediately, usually within minutes. We really can’t rate her high enough.

House is as advertised! Great size in all the rooms and the kitchen is perfect with plenty of frig and freezer storage. The owner Karen is on top of everything and is just as concerned about your quality of stay as you are. We have stayed at this house for the last 3 years and definitely will be back again!

This house is amazing!! The location to the beach is GREAT! You have your own section of the beach with 2 umbrellas and four chairs included! The kitchen has everything you need. LOTS of room to hang out on the main floor and upstairs. Balconies off of every room. The pool is perfect! Karen the owner is a pleasure to work with! The boys loved the game room. The adults loved cooking in the huge kitchen and enjoyed the mini bar area! We went out to dinner twice but stayed and enjoyed the beach/pool/house most of the vacation!

This is a great house in a quiet location right in the action. 2 min walk through the development to private gorgeous beach. House is very large and has everything you need included. Communication with Karen the owner was great. Nice benefit is the fenced in backyard with pool. More privacy than some other homes in development although they are all lovely.

This pictures for this home are spot on. The home is in a great location, as it is just a short walk to a gorgeous beach. Our family rents a lot of properties, and I can honestly say, hands down Karen was the best host. Our family had the pleasure of staying at Karen's home during Christmas. Due to the cold weather, we spent a lot of time in the house. There were numerous things to rave about, but I would be remised if I did not point out that the beds were extremely comfortable. There was plenty of space to hang with the family or read a book in the upstairs loft. If I could definitely give more stars. This picture-perfect home is a must see.

We rented Villa Emeraude for an extended family Thanksgiving week. We were impressed by the online listing and were so pleased to see that everything was EXACTLY (if not better) as it appeared in the listing. The home was clean (we had a 10 month old crawling around and we never worried once), well stocked with EVERY convenience for relaxing and cooking a large meal for 12 and everything was in working order. Karen was a pleasure to work with - she was more than accommodating to some of our challenges with a large group arriving from 4 locations at different times. Her communications up to and during our stay were the best - I couldn't have asked for more. It's clear she takes pride in maintaining the home and ensuring her guests get exactly what they are trying to get out of their vacation. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could.

If you have a large group for an even in Destin and want everyone to be able to stay under the same roof this place will work for you. Once we arrived at the property and settled in we had some concerns. I was able to contact the owner and she responded very quickly and timely. All was resolved very easily. Getting to and from the beach access was simple and convenient. One thing I would recommend is that once you go to the beach make sure that you meet the person that sets up the chairs and umbrellas and make sure they know your schedule when you’ll be at the beach on what days. This will help ensure you place is set and ready when you arrive.

Great choice for our first family vacation including our 5 children, their spouses, our 4 grandchildren, and our family dog. Beautiful home with 5 spacious bedroooms (each with their own bathroom) and a large loft with a pullout couch that was great for our 16 y.o. son. This home has everything needed for a great vacation. Private pool, incredible beach, plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces, fishing ponds, and is in close proximity to shopping and restaurants. Karen was great to work with, providing updates leading up to our stay, and contact during our stay to make sure everything was going well. Definately recommend this vacation home. This is a great place to stay. We had a bedroom/bathroom for each adult/couple - how awesome is that ??!! The accommodations are 5 star. The host Karen was always available and supplied all the information we needed for an uneventful stay. The house has everything you could ever need. We really liked the ice maker at the bar - made ice for drinks very easy and made with filtered water - the best. We really liked all the charging stations for phones and tablets etc. The private beach is only a five min walk away. Karen has four chairs and two umbrellas rented for the house - very nice !! We would certainly stay again !

This is a beautiful home!!! Their were 10 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of spices to choose from when cooking. Karen was available when an issue came up and it was handled ASAP. The beds were amazing and we all had our own…definitely nice! The pool was a lot of fun, and the pool across the street had an amazing view. As for the beach…WOW! The chairs and umbrellas added a great time and was very much appreciated. Keeping up with the wristbands became a joke at the house. But, then I threatened everyone which made it a game. Thank you for opening your home!

We loved this house. It was nice that the main floor was different than the pool - it allowed for separation of the fun. The kitchen was wonderful - nice and big. Used both tables for eating. Bedrooms were great. Beach was very private and quiet. Enjoyed this vacation very much.

Our family of 10 had ample room in this house (we had family not able to join us last minute). Everything we needed was there and more! Karen is incredibly communicative and accessible. There were no surprises. The private beach is a huge plus in this area- to the east and west it was busy, but we had our own spot. Would stay again and highly recommend!

My family just had an amazing spring break at this gorgeous beach home in Destin! The pictures online do not show how absolutely gorgeous this home truly is. We had 9 adults and 8 kids from age 3 to 16. The home has huge bedrooms with every bedroom having its own big bathroom. The awesome kitchen was perfect for all our family meals and was stocked with everything you would need for cooking! The pool was a huge hit with the grandkids. Just a 2 minute walk to the private beach which could not have been more beautiful! Karen was awesome to work with. She was on top of everything and sent wonderful info on the home and Destin as soon as we booked it. We only had one issue with a clogged shower drain. I texted Karen and she had a maintenance man at the home that afternoon to fix it! It is obvious Karen takes great pride in her beautiful home, as it shows from top floor to bottom floor. Our family could not have had a better week together with lots of wonderful memories made! I am pretty sure we will be booking this amazing beach home next year!!!😊

Villa Emeraude was the perfect place for a family vacation with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents! The location is perfect - close to everything. The Villa is gorgeous, and the pool and private beach were fantastic, especially with children from age 11 down to infant. Karen is an outstanding host and we can’t wait to return!

Our large group was giddy with excitement upon entering this beautiful home! Which bedroom to choose - so many and all so nice!? What meals can we create in this chef’s kitchen? What balcony can I relax on to get away from the group and just relax? So many choices! This home really does have everything! While the weather gods weren’t particularly kind on this trip, we still eeked on time on the beach, in the pool, and around town. A great time was had by all! Special thanks to our host, who accommodated special requests and was very responsive to any questions we had. Writing this review as we head back north to an early spring rain/snow mix. Sigh!

Beautiful clean home with pool and outdoor patio/multi level decks off bedrooms that worked great for our two families staying in one home. Plenty of space, lovely decorated and complete kitchen furnishings for large group. Everything was perfect. Owner was extremely accommodating and a joy to work with booking our trip and during our stay. Truly a 5 star experience.

The layout of this house is absolutely perfect for a big group. Big open living area to hang out but everyone also has their own decent size bedroom and attached bath when they need their privacy. You also have no worries because the communication with the owner is great before and during the stay. We didn’t have any issues at all, but it put me at ease knowing I could get a hold of her if I needed to.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Villa Emeraude. The house was very spacious and well laid out. It was very cozy, comfortable and well decorated. We loved the kitchen! It was stocked with everything for a big family gathering. We gathered around the kitchen cooking, eating, sharing stories. The kids stayed in the pool from morning til night. The beach was just a quick walk from the house. Thank you so much Karen! We had a wonderful time.

We took a long awaited family trip to Destin, Sept 16-25. We had the 6 kids, 4 grand kids, and grand parents along. All 14 of us had a wonderful time in Karen’s beautiful home. 5 large king bed, full en suite bedrooms, 6 total bathrooms, huge fully stocked gourmet kitchen and family gathering space, outdoor living, cooking, relaxing and a nice sized back yard, private pool. We had our infant and toddler grandchildren with us, Karen has about everything you might need(laundry room came in very handy). The beach is a 5 minute walk down the street, totally private, 1000 feet of crystal white sand, beautiful ocean waters, beach chairs and canopies (2 sets come with the rental)—it was fabulous for all of us. Villa Emeraude is perfectly located, very close to grocery, apothecary and supplies of all kinds. We took a vote of the kids and grandkids as to whether we should come back, or search for other accommodations —- the quick and unanimous vote was to return to Villa Emeraude !! My family and I were evacuated from New Orleans for hurricane Ida and the property owner was so helpful and kind. She did everything she could to help us including letting us check in early. We are so grateful to Karen! The house itself was so very clean, comfortable, spacious, inviting and wonderful. It housed 4 kids ages 10-15 and 6 adults including two grandmothers with ease. The kitchen was beautifully stocked with equipment and had everything we needed to be able to cook at home every night. The pool in the back yard is a total bonus. The boys loved the game room. And the beach is really just a block away- an easy walk that even the grandmothers could do. My whole family was so very grateful to stay in this beautiful house. Between the hurricane and COVID it was amazing to have this safe and lovely space for our families. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!

Villa Emeraude exceeded my expectations for a family vacation with my adult children, granddaughters (ages 3, 5 and 8) and family dog. I wanted a home where everyone could have their own space; for privacy, as needed. Each family had their own bedroom with bathroom and comfortable beds. I recently purchased a new mattress and my back has been bothering me. I slept in the master bedroom on third floor and had absolutely no backache all week. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need for meals in and plenty of room for several family members to be cooking at one time. Both the kitchen and living room area were beautifully decorated and comfortable for family gatherings. There was a huge lounging space on the third floor for the granddaughters to hangout. There are four balconies; two catching a glimpse of the ocean. The home is not beachfront, but had an easy less than five minute walk via sidewalks in the neighborhood to beach and did not have to cross a road to get there. Our beach was exclusive for residents of the Dunes and we had a very friendly beach attendant who set up our chairs every morning and it was our “spot” for the day. At the end of the beach day, we loved coming home to our own private pool furnished with a TV, BQ grill and plenty of seating. The home was in a gated neighborhood, very quiet area. The owner, Karen, was very accessible; checking in several times through the week to make sure our needs were met. I felt like I was texting with a friend. I, also, had a few questions before the trip and Karen was quick to respond. She truly wants her home to be comfortable for her guests and goes above and beyond to make that happen. She graciously opens up her home to your family dog, which was greatly appreciated. We made sure that our dog respected her property. If you need accommodations for a large group in Destin, I highly recommend Villa Emeraude, as one of the best homes I have rented through VRBO and most definitely one of the best owners I have worked with.

My family really enjoyed staying at this house. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out. Lots of stairs from garage/driveway to main level and top floors. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The wet bar, wine chiller, and ice machine was great. Owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The beach was very close and beach chairs and umbrella was a great addition. Highly recommended this house!

This house had everything we needed and was in the perfect location. It was less than 5 min walk to the private beach and everyday we had chairs and an umbrella set up. The pool was well maintained (being cleaned during the week and also had the temperature checked). The owner was very quick to respond and address any questions we might have. We would love to come back!
