Lots of space, well maintained home and well-stocked kitchen. Outdoor space was wonderful, including pool, hot tub, golf course view, Weber Genesis grill and large dining table. Set up was great for our family, and it was a very short walk to the community pool (including a separate lap pool for adults, outdoor hot tubs, workout center, and large free form pool for all). We appreciated having access to the parking area at the Mauna Lani Beach Club. Any time we had questions, or concerns the property manager responded promptly. Only wish we could have had an earlier check-in as our flight was changed for an early arrival! Would definitely rent this house again for a family vacation to Hawaii and will recommend it to friends who may be planning to go.

BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! This property was by far the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Well appointed, great view, all around perfect! Plenty of beach towels, beach toys, bicycles, snorkel equipment, beach chairs, access to one of the most spectacular beaches (Mauna Lani Beach Club), the guest house (AMAZING!), the onsite private pool and hot tub-all wonderful! Each bedroom had their own private bath and TV. Lots of space so you didn't feel like you were on top of each other- our group had 7 adults. It was true LUXURY. From the time I booked the property- the customer service was OUTSTANDING. There were very minor issues (the instructions on how to turn on the hot tub and garbage/trash locations are in the guest video on the app however, it would need to be property site specific since those instructions didn't apply at this location- I felt bad that I had to reach out several times to the management asking seemingly simple questions). We contacted management & also spoke with workers 2nd day there & daily after BUT still no jacuzzi heat until Friday, 6 days into our 8 day stay (we were looking forward to the therapeutic effect after golf, etc), every morning large 15 foot high outside water leakage approx 4:20 am that lasted for 1/2 hour & woke us up every am, annoying door alarms to pool (state required), guest toilet was unsteady/rocking & had to be fixed, they need to have clear instructions regarding how to use TVs with multiple remote controls that worked even differently in master bdrm, a dish drying rack would have been appreciated, 1 burner on BBQ not working, 2 of the bikes had flat tires, 1 bike was rubbing on something, shifters were sl off (minor bike maintainance needed), the electronic door locks need to be lit so you can see what #s you are punching in. I include all this because many times the owners are unaware of all the issues & problems the enters encounter thus they can make the needed changes or not. The house itself was superb, 1 story which our knees appreciated! The Ohana is almost a 2nd master bdrm. A great supply of spices, cooking utensils, knives, pots & pans, dishes, a BBQ, etc but a little light on wine glasses, the welcoming coffee supply was minor (1 day), . Beds were comfortable & clean. I may sound a little harsh but we stayed here in 2019 with a local owner & everything was excellent which is why we returned. If we had any questions or problems he took care of them immediately. The owners also let us use the 6 passenger electric cart for use around the Mauna Lani resort (it's still in the garage but not for renter use, which is a shame). We been coming to the islands every year for 30+ years & would enjoy being able to stay here again if these problems can be resolved

We stayed for a week at Christmas - 2 families and 1 grandparent. Plenty of room for everyone. The home is beautiful and well equipped with everything you can need. Tons of pool/beach equipment/bikes/snorkel etc. the beach club is wonderful with a restaurant and bar. The association pool is great - hardly anyone there, bbq grills/fridge/ comfy furniture. The pool at the house is nice but not heated. Hot tub is great for adults and kids. Location is easy to airport/beaches/shopping. Perfect Christmas home! Highly recommend.

Overall, the property was just what a family with small children needed. The only issue was that the Beach Equipment (umbrellas) were not in good repair. Otherwise, we had a great time! Thanks!!

The house was very nice along pool at home and community pool and beach!! We did not like the alarms on the door to the pool. There is no question that safety for children is a priority. However it does not make sense to not be able to have an open indoor/outdoor space and a alarm. There were NO children that could not swim with us. Require the tenant to sign off on those liability’s. The starter on the grill does not work and needs to be repaired.

We were here with family (4 adult couples) and found the house everything we expected and more. Was very clean and updated. Kitchen was well stocked. Had some problem with the pool and hot tub not heating but issue was taken the same day! Would highly recommend this home!

This property was everything and more! The rental had everything we needed or forgot. There were TONS of amenities and this house was extremely clean and relaxing and the neighborhood was beautiful. Management was easy to get a hold of and everything was pretty easy to use in the house. We would definitely stay again.

This was our 4th trip to the Big Island and to Mauna Lani. We love staying in KaMilo! We were a bit disappointed with this house though. When we arrived we noticed the backyard area hadn't been cleaned at all. There were kids toys in the grass, and dirty BBQ utensils left on the grill. We also realized that many of the larger bowls and casserole dishes were dirty with food. I would expect to arrive to a clean property. I texted, emailed and finally called the property management company to let them know. We also asked, more than once,, about the light in the pool. We never got an answer as to why it wasn't on. So unfortunately we were not able to use the pool after sunset as it was too dark. A bit disappointing as we would've like to unwind in the back patio after a beach day. We will return to Mauna Lani and KaMilo, but will find a different house for our next trip. Hopefully they'll be more thorough in their future cleanings.

Great house. Very clean. Nice layout. Lots of toys provided. Very good Internet and TVs. Pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. Walking distance to Fairmont beach access. Much better location than the map implies. We rented an electric cart and that was ideal. An amazing trip. Absolutely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paradise Awaits. The home is beautiful, clean, and has everything you could need. The backyard lanai was our favorite place to be, and the best spot to view the sunset each evening. We had trouble initially getting into the home due to a problem with the entry keypad. Also, we were disappointed that the spa was not working. It took a few days for the staff to respond to our problems, but then they did their best to fix the issues.

Beautiful home, beautiful location! We enjoyed our stay here. The home was equipped with everything we needed and more. Loved having all the beach toys, snorkel gear, swimming toys, bikes, scooters & helmets right at our finger tips. Also, there’s a grocery store 2 minutes away. The neighborhood is well cared for and very peaceful. Beautiful walks along the coast are just minutes away where we enjoyed watching the sunset and saw tons of turtles! Great find!

THANK YOU for an amazing place to host our family in Hawaii!! Etienne- was so helpful - mahalo. The house was perfect for our family! Part of us stayed the the Fairmont and we enjoyed the Christmas Eve Luau - Christmas Day dinner and New Years Eve dinner and party all at the Fairmont which was very convenient. We hit all the beaches and even had a wedding on beach 69 for our son. We highly recommend Ettienne in his place and can’t wait till the next time!

The.house is amazing. Close to beaches shopping and restaurants but away from hustle and bustle. The pool and jacuzzi were excellent and offered hours of fun for the kids. We loved our stay here.

Great location, very well taken care of, and lots of extras for kids and the beach. The EV was really handy too. The property manager was very friendly and responsive. Hope to visit again soon!

This home was AMAZING with a super location and beautiful sunsets every night!!! Lynn and Etienne were so accommodating! They were always available with any questions. There was more than enough room for all of us and the home was Very Well Equipped with all the beds, toys, and water toys for the whole family for a Great Beach outing! They even recommended the Best Luau we've ever been to and restaurants to try! We all had a Very Comfortable and Fun vacation. Would not hesitate to do this again!!! Thank You So Very Much!!!

Lynn and Etienne are wonderful owners/managers, quick to respond and very accommodating. Their home and ohana were beautiful and outfitted with every amenity possible! The "extras" such as bikes,toys, paddle boards, beach chairs, umbrellas and especially the neighborhood electric vehicle were wonderful! Loved the pool, hot tub, beach club and community pool too. Our whole family of 6 adults and 5 kids had a fantastic vacation!

I grew up on Big Island. This home is Perfect for bringing our Sons and their families to visit and connect again to our Island Life. The Owners living nearby allow quick response to any questions. I loved that they offer Concierge services; like arriving with my grocery list items, already in the fridge for our hungry group of nine. The house has everything you could need. The activity Toys and NEV vehicle were such a Bonus to our daily plans. We love the Access to the Private Mauna Lani Beach and Na’pua Restaurant. Location is great. We were even able to watch July 4 th fireworks in Waikaloa from the backyard pool. We will definitely plan another Big Island Ohana Vacay at Pakele Lani again. Mahalo Nui Loa, RSE

The owners of the property were very helpful upon check-in and when we had an issue with the garage door. The property is lovely and spacious with so many toys for children as well as beach equipment for adults. Having the NEV in addition to our van was helpful for getting our large group to the beach or the grocery store, especially if everyone wasn't headed to the same place! The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are as well. Some of the main living areas could have used a bit more detailed cleaning, something that the owners may not have known was being missed. This property has so many options for swimming and touring about, with public beaches being about 10-15 minutes away. We truly enjoyed our stay and appreciate the hospitality of E and L!

We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed our stay at Pakele Lani. You feel relaxed & welcomed as soon as you step thru the foyer into this fabulous Hawaiian home. Our hosts Lynn, Etienne & son Jacob were superb. This the 1st time in 20+ years of Hawaiian trips an owner or agent has given us a walk thru the house & shown us how to work the lights, the pool, the jacuzzi, the TVs, showed us where everything is located & how to use it. They made our stay extremely pleasant & relaxing. They promptly and efficiently responded to any questions or problems we had. The electric cart was greatly appreciated as we were attending a conference at the Fairmont Orchid. I especially enjoyed the hot tub every night, especially after playing weekend warrior, riding the bikes, body surfing, hiking & golf. The kitchen is well stocked with spices, etc. We were not able to use the plethora of beach paraphernalia or the video games they had available. We will definitely look forward to our next sojourn to the Big Island & staying at Pakele Lani

Our family of 12 stayed for a week over Christmas. Etienne was very available and accommodating with any and all requests. The property is very comfortable. Everyone slept well. We ate almost every meal in - cost saver - as the kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. We put the baby in the casita which was set up with crib at our request. Quiet, cool and close by. Toys, games and more toys for all - ages 16 months to 75! We had fun! Thank you Etienne!

We love the Big Island and Pakele Lani was the perfect place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family of 9 (6 adults and three granddaughters ages 14, 11, & 9). This beautiful and spacious home is in a gated community on the golf course in Mauna Lani. The owners, Lynn and Etienne, have seen to all your needs from the well equipped kitchen, to the supply of beach toys ( including paddle boards, boogie boards and snorkel sets), beach towels, cooler, bicycles and even a Neighborhood Electric Car. The Mauna Lani Beach Club was close by and wonderful for snorkeling and paddle boarding even for beginners. If you can pull yourself away from Mauna Lani, Hapuna Beach (voted one of the best in the US) is just a short drive north and had great waves. Watching sunsets from the lanai or great room at Pamela Lani was breathtaking and having the private pool and hot tub was an added bonus. None of us wanted to leave this peaceful paradise and certainly hope to return!

Everything about this home is first class. It is as good as the on line pictures present it. The owner greeted us upon our arrival to help with using some of the systems in the home. Each bedroom is like a Master bedroom -- lots of room, with fine furnishings. The kitchen, with the huge island, is a great gathering spot, with a view out the large sliding doors past the large lanai on to the golf course. The home comes with all the toys that you could want, including four person street legal golf cart, two paddle boards, 10 bikes of all different sizes, and skin diving gear bagged and ready according to size. The short trip to the private sandy beach is great for the paddle boarding and some of the best snorkeling on this part of the island. All this , and including access to the private community center, with a big pool and gym. I would gladly return to this place.

We rented the property to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our children, grandchildren and our son-in-law’s parents from Argentina. Everyone had a fantastic time. The 3 children, ages 6, 5 and 2, loved the pool and the wide selection of toys, both indoor and out. We stayed in the master suite and it was very comfortable and laid out well with a bathtub, separate shower and walk in closet. Each of our children stayed with their spouses in the other two bedrooms in the main house and each had its own bathroom. There were several roll aways and toddler beds available so the grandchildren could sleep in the rooms with their parents. Our friends from Argentina used the Ohana, the detached guest house. It was very private and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and was very open and spacious so several people could help with the prep. The resort amenities are fantastic. The recreation center just a few doors away has a wonderful large pool with a perfect kiddie pool. It also has a lap pool and a gym. The Mauna Lani private beach is gorgeous....looks like a postcard. It was ideal for our little ones. It has lots of sand, stays shallow for a long way out and there are no large waves. But the adults liked it, too. The snorkeling was quite good if you swam further out and there is a nice bar and restaurant and provided lounge chairs and sun canopies. Nearer the house is a state park with a rocky coral beach and excellent snorkeling. The kids were able to see a turtle up close. They just swam right up on the rocks where the kids were playing. The shopping center nearby had a great supermarket and also had other tourist oriented shops. We had our anniversary dinner at Browns Beach House in the nearby Fairmont Orchid and had a wonderful experience. Sunset, live entertainment and delicious food. Our family went on a night dive/snorkel out of Kona to see manta rays. Magical experience we highly recommend. Other activities we did were visit Waimea during the midweek farmers market on Wednesday (lots of food trucks) and drive to Hilo visiting Akaka Falls and the botanic garden on the way. We had malasadas at Tex drive-in in Honokaa. The only negative experience on the trip was the awful traffic caused by construction between the Kohala Coast and Kona. It took 1.5 hours to go 9 miles. We didn’t go back to Kona after that! Etienne, the owner of the house, was very nice and quickly responded to minor problems. Highly recommend.
