Lovely house ! meticulously maintained , super clean , cozy with all the conveniences ; very thoughtfully decorated ! Lots of history ; easy to get to town and shopping ; we will definitely come back !

My wife and I traveled to New Braunfels with our 3 young daughters for spring break. This location was perfect for enjoying the hill country weather and seeing the town. The house was filled with fascinating local history and beautiful furniture, along with modern amenities like washer/dryer, coffee, and Roku. I recommend this rental to any family, friends, or couples that want to be immersed in one of Texas's most storied cities.

The house was perfect for our girls trip. Close to restaurants and shopping. Very comfortable. The owners had coffee and tea and even a snack basket. Would definitely rent again.

We had a wondering weekend trip & loved staying in this beautiful, spacious home. It was the perfect place to be near downtown restaurants & bars. The kitchen was perfect spot for breakfast and the backyard was too cute. If the weather had been nicer we would have had breakfast out there. Shawn is an attentive & responsive host. Can’t wait to stay there again!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Herry Haus! The bungalow is adorable and exactly the vibe we were looking for. The location was accessible to activities and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and will return soon!

We loved our stay. Just what we wanted and needed. Our family of five fit in there just fine, youngest on the pullout. We had what we needed to eat at home several meals, and enjoyed the porches for relaxing. Great location near everywhere we wanted to go. Communicative hosts made for an easy stay.

Might just have the cutest rental that we've ever stayed in. Comfortable, all the creature comforts we needed, plenty of gathering spaces, centrally located, furnished perfectly and easy to get to; but you guys are absolutely the best hosts we've ever booked from. Your generosity ensured that our family's vacation was absolutely perfect. Your hospitality is second to none and we appreciated it repeatedly. I can't offer a higher recommendation to anyone else visiting the area, you are missing an opportunity if you book elsewhere.

I cannot say enough great things about this house. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful and was even kind enough to bring us cookies on the day my wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. The house was in the perfect location with easy access to downtown and close enough to San Antonio without having to deal with all the hustle and bustle. They’re also right down the street for easy access to tubing as well. Again, great hosts a s location!!!

This place was amazing. It is the cutest house and very clean. We stayed to make some wonder memories with my daughter before she leaves for college and it was the best place to do that. The kitchen had everything that you needed and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very sweet and made sure that we had everything that we needed. We went to Green Hall and did a lot of shopping which was very close to the beautiful house. Thank you so much for a beautiful weekend.

The neighborhood is nice and quiet, and the house has everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Beds are comfortable and everything is clean, and the kids enjoyed a visit from the neighbors cat! We had coffee on the back porch every morning and it was very peaceful. I’ll stay here again next year:)

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our time at this lovely home! This home is beautifully decorated, so very comfortable, completely stocked- they thought of everything to make the stay so welcoming. We loved the charming character of this home, the decor was beautiful, beds so comfortable, patios and porches were wonderful to drink morning coffee or evening wine while watching the deer in the neighborhood! This home is so close to major grocery stores and quaint local restaurants, as well as tubing companies and downtown shops! We loved floating the Comal River, listening to music at Gruene Hall, and exploring the town. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and so friendly, making sure we were comfortable. Check in and out was so easy, and I highly highly recommended this home!

there is no way to list all the pluses on this property and the owners. Our family wanted a long weekend in the Hill country and Thanks to Shaun and Charlie it was breeze. You couldn't ask for better hosts, they allowed an early check in on arrival day and even offered to extend the check out time if needed. Charlie wanted an excuse to get his golf cart out so he extended an offer to pick us up from one of the local restaurants we walked to downtown if we were interested. As great as the hosts as they are are the property is just as nice. clean, quite great set up with a nice space on a covered porch in the back to sit an relax. It was not more than 10 minutes to the tube rental we used to float the river( Guadalupe) and its even closer to Schlitterbahn. Gruene is just a 10 minute drive and its a quick 20 minute trip to the breweries in San Marcos even Fredricksburg is only about an hour drive. Again I cant say enough about the owners and the house so I will stop there. If you need a comfortable central location to enjoy anything the hill country has to offer this is a great location with even better hosts, you will not be disappointed. If by chance there is something you need at the property that is not already there I have no doubt Shawn and Charlie will help accommodate in any way possible. Our family will absolutely be back to see them again.

The house was as pretty in person as on line. The owners also checked with us a few times during our stay to ensure we were happy. I would definitely return!

We have been staying in VRBO’s for over 20 years now it seems and is not often that a property checks all the boxes but our stay in Charlie and Shawn’s rental was perfect. The house is well stocked, beds comfy, open floorplan, clean, quiet being on a cul-de-sac (the area is quiet anyway) and walking distance to everything you could want to do downtown, groceries and restaurants. The backyard is private, we enjoyed BBQing and just sitting outside after a long day of tubing and sightseeing. Don’t hesitate to book :)

Two life long friends met to recharge and visit. The house was so nice and just like the pictures. We were very comfortable and everything was carefully thought of for our convenience. In all my travels Herry Haus ranks at the top! Shawn and Charlie are the most thoughtful hosts I have ever met. The details in making your stay comfortable and complete are unsurpassed. I stayed for a month and wish I could have extended. Quiet street, great location! New Braunfels is a gem with all kinds of fun, good restaurants and welcoming, friendly people. This beautiful 1927 home was wonderful. The hosts made our stay one we will always remember. We had 0 issues, only praises. The property was very clean, the extra touches the host had for our stay were so thoughtful and they anticipated every need we might have had. Beautifully decorated for Christmas which I loved. My brother and I (and our spouses) came to new braunfels for the weekend to float and enjoy the sites. Shawn and Charlie were wonderful hosts and the house had everything you could think of. It was a beautiful historic home that is expertly maintained. I will absolutely stay here again!

My family and I stayed here for four days in the summer. We’ve visited NB at least a dozen times now and this is one of my new favorite places to stay. The attention to detail is amazing. The house has everything you can think of to make your stay perfect. The owners are very friendly and easy to communicate with. We had fun in the evenings with popcorn and game nights with the games and goodies provided and in the mornings looked forward to getting up and picking out our coffee with all the choices provided. The AC blows cold, the beds are comfy, the towels are thick and absorbent. It was a perfect stay. Thank you!

This was a wonderful rental. Decor is so cute and the home is so comfy. We ended up staying at the house to hang out more than expected just because we enjoyed the house so much. We will be coming back!!! So much fun stuff to do and good food to eat in NB!

We loved it. Was a bit of a challenge in the beginning keeping our young kids away from all the little decorations around the house but it was an excellent house to stay in.

It’s close to the Camal River, San Antonio, San Marcos outlet mall and other great things to do. The host were pretty amazing as well. Checkin was flawless and we had zero issues during our stay! Everything about the Herry Haus is fabulous. The house is gorgeous with lots of character nods to New Braunfels' history. My family has vacationed in New Braunfels for decades, and we feel so lucky to have found this retreat close to downtown. Finally, Shawn and Charlie are amazing hosts! You can't go wrong with the Herry Haus.

Beautiful, decorated absolutely perfect for the home. Comfortable and we loved the backyard and the front porch with the swing and wicker furniture. Every room in the house was done exactly right. We had everything we needed. Made our vacation so special.
