From checking in to checking out the staff could not have been more cheerful and helpful. Everyone we came across was enthusiastic and couldn’t do enough to help. Accommodation was great and the breakfast was excellent. The beer in the pub was perfect and the live band were brilliant too.

Enjoyed our stay (we stayed in 'the stables' room) and would recommend, room was clean although some lights were not working and while the room had a very small heater which was needed as the radiant heat was not working or rather turned off and we could not turn on.

Great village Inn with rooms. We stayed in the annex this time ( just across the road ). The facilities were great. The bar and dining room in the Inn has a great vibe. My favourite place to stay in Barnard Castle.

We stayed in The Stable apartment. One dining seat provided only. No hand sanitiser. Cleanliness average.
We booked breakfast in the main restaurant- it was disappointing. Mushrooms chewy.As we had already waited quite a while we decided no point in re ordering. By the way we have stayed at the Three Horseshoes several times previously and the food quality used to be much better. It was only when sat at a different table for breakfast that we saw the specials board for evening - not pointed o

Efficient, friendly, clean rooms. Hot shower. Arrived just before 9pm (ie 5 or 10 minutes before) and no problem at all with providing me with an excellent meal.

We were not sure what to expect as booked off site accommodation on internet. We were not disappointed it is a gem of a place.
We ate in hotel far more than we had planned as it was so nice.

What can I say, simply can't fault the Three Horseshoes at all. Excellent service and friendliness from the staff, one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in, and the breakfast was excellent too. We booked the Stables off site accommodation which is more like a mini apartment and has everything you could need including a small kitchen area. The furnishings are all to a very high standard too, well done to the owners. We will most certainly be back for a long weekend next time.

We suddenly decided to visit the area on a bank holiday weekend . Liked the sound of the studio apartment so booked it directly with the hotel . On arrival we had difficulty finding the building as it was not attached to the hotel itself . We returned to the hotel and a lovely member of staff took us to the door . Inside it was better than expected as there was a separate bedroom and it was modern and cosy . The bed was very comfortable and the linen was of good quality . We only had breakfast
