Including multiple homes we've stayed in with different services, this house blows the rest out of the water. The owners have truly thought of everything. It was the cleanest house we've stayed in, the kitchen had everything you'd need and more, they have a first aid kit, flashlights, tons of hooks for jackets and towels, a dog crate so you don't have to bring your own, a desk with keyboard, monitor, and mouse, and on and on. Plus the view from anywhere on the back side of the house is amazing. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and a fire pit right out the back door. We definitely want to come back in the summer so we can take full advantage of the lakeside location.

This house is an absolute delight and Laura is a consummate host! The location is perfect with stunning views of the mountains across Perkins Pond and just a short 17 minute drive to Mt. Sunapee for skiing. We even had the extra bonus of ice skating the day after a little rain fell to create a perfect surface for my kids (age 9 and 6), who hadn't ice skated before. The house is well appointed with lots of white fluffy towels -- and thoughtfully provided with dark towels for those of us who travel with dogs and need to wipe off snowy paws ;-) The beds are comfy and the open plan space make it ideal for hanging out and enjoying one another's company. There are many thoughtful touches like teas, coffees, and spices provided as well as labels on all the lights so you don't drive yourself nuts trying to learn the set up. We'd definitely stay here again! :-)

We had the best time staying here. We barely left the house because it was so comfortable. The views were spectacular! We spent our mornings and evenings on the dock. It was breathtaking! The host was super responsive and nice. Everything we needed in the house was there. We appreciated all the labeling in the house that new it easy to find things. We would return to stay here in a heartbeat. It was amazing!!!

Everything about the property was just as described if not better… Was a wonderful location to get away for a few days. The property was clean and communication was excellent. Will definitely stay here again if given the opportunity!

This is a wonderful lake front property. Very clean. Good location. Very quite. Great supply of clean towel. Nice fire pit. Charcoal grill. Two bed rooms on with a large picture window that looks out on the lake. Highly recommended.

Our three year old enjoyed splashing and swimming in the water and our chocolate lab loved being a part of our family vacation! The pond itself is a quiet retreat and hidden gem. Laura’s place was even better than the pictures describe! I am a clean freak and this place was cleaned as I would have cleaned my own home. The property is beautiful…we were able to take the canoe out and do some brief wading in the pond. The outdoor furniture was the perfect touch! Loved the black out shades and that the kitchen had everything we needed and more. We didn’t want to leave. Hoping to return one day!

The property is perfectly located on Perkins Pond, which offers a wonderful and tranquil view of the water. The house is tastefully decorated and appointed with all the amenities one could need for a vacation in the woods.

We were so comfortable and at peace while at the cottage that instead of 7 nights, we stayed 8. The cottage was larger than we expected, clean, and beautifully (yet comfortably!) appointed. The open floor plan on the main living level, high ceilings, and abundant natural light all day long ensured that we didn't feel cooped up or on top of each other. The bedrooms are both spacious and comfortable. The linens and towels are crisp, clean, soft, and plentiful, and the bathrooms are stocked with many of the same soaps and shampoos that we use at home. The kitchen had it all, from a wide variety of quality pots, pans, and cooking utensils, to cleaning supplies and paper products, basic cooking oils and simple spices, to a drawer stocked with aluminum foil and ziploc bags, to cute silicone ice cube trays in the freezer, we truly found everything we needed. We spent our mornings participating in the boys remote learning via the strong WiFi signal, our days skiing at Mount Sunapee (truly only 15 minutes away), and our evenings enjoying phenomenal sunsets while building an igloo on the frozen pond before cozying up to watch a movie on the smart TV in the family room.We texted a few minor questions to the owner, Laura, during our stay, and never waited more than 15 minutes for a friendly and helpful response from her. Perkins Pond Cottage is an absolute gem - we will most certainly return!

Perfect 2 bedroom cottage with awesome views of the pond right in the backyard! Great hosts and very easy ~10min drive to Mt. Sunapee! Highly recommended staying here!

We had the wonderful opportunity to stay on Perkins Pond for two months during the COVID stay at home restriction period. Even during an uncertain time, this house had everything we needed to feel safe, comfortable, and promote a sense of tranquility based upon our surroundings. The floor to ceiling windows in the back of the house really made us feel like we weren’t constrained while in our isolated bubble from everyone! Megan was a fantastic host. She was super responsive and checked-in to make sure we had everything we needed. She really put the time and effort to think of what guests would need and have those items at our fingertips. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, cooking utensils and pots & pans. The island was a perfect location for us to do work or schooling. The Internet bandwidth also extended outside to the seating area to allow laptop work while keeping a close eye on kids when they are in the water. In the evenings, the house is perfectly positioned to get the best view of the pond and surrounding vista to watch amazing sunsets whether you are sitting on the couch or on the dock. The pond is clear & clean and we had a great time canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, fishing and catching newts as the weather got warmer. We definitely will take away great memories of our time there and already miss the view!
