Our family had a wonderful relaxing time on Mt.View Lake. The house clean and offered us plenty of space for use to spread out. The lake was calm and quiet which was wonderful for fishing and kayaking. I would highly recommend this property!

My parents and family stayed for a week over the 4th of July. We had plenty to keep us active and busy with a 10 year old girl and 13 year old boy. My wife and I and parents were able to keep up, but also enjoy the property for some relaxation. The kayak's, canoe, and lake are perfect for swimming and the hot tub is perfect to relax any tense muscles. Pefect home & property for our family! Pascale is very attentive and checked in with us if we needed anything or had any questions or concerns. Would recommend to anyone looking for a busy/relaxing vacation!

This was our 2nd visit for a family vacation. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the home is very comfortable. We had our 3 adult children and everyone was able to have their own space. We had plenty of rain but it made for some interesting hikes; good thing for the washer and dryer for all the wet clothes. Pascale is easy to communicate with and an attentive host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on the lake. It has everything you will need to have a great vacation in a home away from home From the spacious layout, beautiful decor, fully stocked cooks kitchen to the hot tub and kayaks!! Charming location, safe access to a small lake for family swimming and canoeing, fully equipped house, in good working order, helpful hostess, lots to do in surrounding area. We spent two pleasant and problem-free weeks and would gladly do so again.

If you’re inclined to shut out the world for a bit and need a quiet place to recharge you’ll find this home meets each requirement. Pascale is easy to communicate with. We loved the water proximity Quiet neighbors.. Well appointed with all you will need. Would recommend.

Paddling the kayaks, canoe , swimming and on floaties was the best. The beautiful view of Mt. Sunapee was the icing on the cake. The house, the grill, the kitchen… everything was perfect. We were all so happy and comfortable. Our host was so accommodating. Loved the basket of beach towels. What a gem

What a fantastic week we had! The home was clean and well appointed. We had beautiful weather. Pascale was an amazing host. We noticed the kayaks were a bit worn at the ends. I texted this concern to Pascale and by the next afternoon we had 2 brand new kayaks to use! We enjoyed spending time on the dock watching the wild life. Plenty to do in the surrounding area and easy access to lake Sunapee. The hot tub was a huge hit with our teens. We had an amazing week! Thank you again, Pascale, for sharing your lovely home.

Absolutely spectacular Lakehouse

Let me just start off by saying it was just an amazing experience that me and my family will never forget. The view from the back overlooking the lake and seeing Mt Sunapee is just breathtaking. The cabin was set up perfect from the kitchen being set up perfect to the steam shower in the upstairs bathroom to being able to relax in the hot tub. Pascale was wonderful to work with and very responsive to the messages. We can wait for our next trip up to Sunapee

Here's my attempt. Upon entering the front door of Castle Rock we were amazed at how beautiful and clean the kitchen and dining room were. Every possible appliance, dish, utensil, and glass we would need was available. The woodwork in the cabin is stunning. The living room had a great fire place and there were books, magazines, and fun activities even for kids. The cabin had 2 amazing bathrooms one with a steam shower. When exiting the back door to the lake and view of Mt Sunapee I had to catch my breath. The owners supplied everything you could possibly need for a day on the lake. Great grill, out door seating, and fire pit were a fun way to unwind at the end of the day. We highly recommend a stay here.

Our week was picture perfect, the only unpredictable was the weather. The home itself is beautiful and on a clean, clear and peaceful lake, complete with loons, ducks and a heron. The view from the porch with my morning coffee was perfect. The home is very clean and well equipped. Top end appliances throughout. Pascale is a host extraordinare! Will likely book again someday.

Great people and easy to work with. Home has a fantastic view of Mount Sunapee from Mountain View lake, not from Lake Sunapee. Close to beach and park. Limited parking if you have a boat. Can’t park on lawn and neighbors don’t like it in road . Otherwise great !!

We had a lovely vacation with our 3 grown children. House was spacious so everyone had their own space. Property was very clean. Lots of great hiking nearby. Lake was nice and quiet.

Stayed here for a week and loved it. House is even bigger and better than in the pictures. The lake is beautiful and so clear and very swimmable. So much nature around lots of baby birds nests in the yard. Loved kayaking and using the hot tub. The neighbors are also very friendly.

I had seen the property on VRBO about a year earlier and its location and amenities stayed in my memory. So when we were looking for lakefront this year we booked it. It's a perfect mix of modern and rustic. A log home provides the rustic but everything else was top notch. A fantastic kitchen with appliances far better than anything we have at home. Plenty of hot water. The dock was safe and we used the kayaks. The view from the back of the home is beautiful as portrayed. If I could do it all over again, and we plan to, the only thing I would do differently would be to bring our own pillows. We are just more used to them. Other than that, there were plenty of linens and towels. We got a lot of use out of the hot tub, which we enjoyed immensely. Communication with the owner was exemplary and we had no issues with the property itself during our stay. The home is ten minutes from Sunapee and Newport for shopping and entertainment. We had a lovely lunch at The Old Courthouse in Newport.

We had the most wonderful and relaxing week at the cabin. We had no trouble finding great outdoor activities in the area. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We cooked dinner at the cabin every night except one. My family had to try the macaroni and cheese pizza at Ziggy's and it did not disappoint. I would also recommend Sanctuary Farm Ice Cream down the street. They even have non dairy ice cream too! Great place for a family vacation!

This was perfect 2 week getaway for our family. The home and views were stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake, fireplace, hot tub, steam shower, and all the little touches in and around the home. We appreciated how attentive Pascale was and hope to return in the future.

The home was lovely. The location sublime. Communication with the owner was excellent. Just an FYI - there is no TV which I missed in the description. It's not really a problem because we could stream on our computers. Just something to note.

Castle rock was a perfect spot for our family reunion (two families), and provided every amenity one could wish for. A lovely spacious, well equipped waterfront home on a quiet lake with exceptional mountain views. The family enjoyed fishing, swimming and kayaking off the dock. We were minutes from Mount Sunapee with exciting summer activities, great restaurants and a beautiful state beach. The property owner was very gracious and available for any questions we had. The entire family had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this wonderful vacation spot!
