We get our family together every spring for a long weekend. This spot was perfect for our a central location for our family from Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin. This was a very nice house with lots of room for our family group of 10. Awesome kitchen and living room! Just wish we could have taken advantage of the hot tub, But, the weather did not cooperate! The Angola / Auburn area has a lot to offer!!!!

Great place for gathering with friends. Big kitchen and lots of communal gathering space. We loved the hot tub! The view of the lake was unbeatable! We were disappointed to have to pay a nonrefundable cleaning fee and also make our beds upon arrival, strip our beds upon leaving, run the dishwasher and take the garbage to the curb. The 2 fire places were not working which the owner made us aware of the day prior to our arrival. He would not give us any financial compensation for that. Other small things like paper shades taped to the windows, stained carpets and a broken door stop made the house seem poorly maintained. That being said, we enjoyed the proximity to the state park and winery and had a wonderful stay.

House was clean, well stocked, and perfect for a girls weekend. Wonderful view of the lake and enjoyed the hot tub in the evening.

This was a perfect place to have our family Christmas. There was enough room for everyone and we were able to enjoy the hot tub as well. Everyone wants to go back again next year. :)

This was the perfect property for a family weekend getaway. The kitchen was very well equipped, we didn’t need to worry about a thing! There was plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable. If you want a firm pillow, bring your own. Most of them were too soft for our liking but everyone has their own opinion on that. Andy was very helpful prior to arrival with my tons of questions, making sure our stay would be perfect. We will definitely be back to this property.

We had a family gathering for the holiday weekend. Everything was as described, plus there was a second refrigerator which was handy for our group.

Overall this was a good experience. I emailed the owner several times prior to our stay and got zero response. We never received check in info the week of our stay so I gave him a call. He was super friendly and gave me all the info I needed. We stayed here to celebrate our Christmas with extended family. The place was very big with plenty of room for the kids to run around. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of kitchen tools/gadgets/pots/pans, we didn’t need a thing! The sheets were clean and so was the hot tub (in contrast to what a previous renter mentioned in their review). Both TVs were nice with plenty of options. The furniture was definitely outdated but comfortable and clean. Checkout was super easy. The best part was the hot tub! The only thing I would suggest to the owner is to have additional seating for the dinner table. There were 10 chairs but we could have fit more around the huge table. If you plan to have more in your party I would recommend bringing folding chairs to add on. This place would be great for a gathering in the summertime for sure. Would rent again:)

There were 7 of us and we had a great time. The house was great with plenty of room.

This place is beautiful. Second time staying here and it never disappoints.

Please contact owners prior to renting to ensure things from our stay have been addressed. For the price of this listing things should be too notch. Soiled pillows, bedding, landscape full of garbage/trash, dirty hot tub full of sand, leaves and dirt. I’ve voiced my displeasure and concerns so that future renters do not have to deal with these issues when paying too dollar for a rental. The house is nice but needs some help to bring it up to the high price standards.

We enjoyed a last minute winter weekend away at the lake. The home was very clean and had stunning views. The kids enjoyed their own area in the loft and 3 families had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms convenient. We enjoyed the hot tub down by the water and loved watching the snowmobiles and airplanes (yes planes) land on the frozen lake. We had a great time and hope to be back. Thank-you!

Our group has been taking trips together for 39 years now. We had been going up north in January. However, as we have gotten older and no one skis anymore we decided this was the year to start a new tradition and meet for a fall retreat. Your location fit our group so nicely. We especially appreciated that the living room provided enough seating that we could all visit in the same area and the kitchen was large enough to prepare our food without falling over each other. Although it was a little further to Shipshewana than we anticipated, the directions were easy. Views of the lake were stunning through the floor to ceiling windows! Thank you for providing a delightful setting for us to gather and feel at home!

Excellent house, well located on a lovely lake. There were three couples who each had a bedroom. Master has ensuite bath, two other baths are convenient. We spent pretty much all our time on the lower level and balcony, which has great lake views.The area is easy to navigate if you want activities or dining out. The town has a charming downtown, as well. The owners have two more houses across the road, so large groups can be accommodated. Highly Recommended.

The house is beautiful and the scenery was amazing. Communication with the host was exceptional, they responded quickly to any questions we messaged him with.

This is a beautiful home with incredible views of the lake and it is in a great neighborhood. The hosts were very responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout the planning process. It is close to a town with stores which made shopping very easy. The house is in great condition and has everything you might need during your stay. We had an amazing time and I highly recommend!

We loved the home and area. We are already looking for available time in the summer or winter. We booked between high season so just spent time hiking at the park. Looking forward to toboggan run in winter and boating or swimming in the summer.

This house was great! It was a halfway point for our at home kids and our away college kids. Everybody found it easily, had plenty of space to bring their boyfriends, and had a blast. A great weekend of all our kids under one roof!! Definitely will be back!

The pictures don’t do this home justice. The wall of windows facing the lake - wow!! Extremely clean and well equipped, this home was perfect for our family. Kitchen very large with all the appliances and pots/pans we needed. Loft with 3 beds was perfect for kids to have their own space. We spent the day tobogganing (@10 mins away) at Pokagon State Park, then the night playing cards and games at the house. Everyone agreed we need to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake!

We had 4 adults and two teenagers and a young adult for a weekend getaway. Everything from the checkin process to leaving went without issues. Plenty of space and the teens all had a bed to themselves in the loft. Everything was tidy and clean. The view of the lake was fabulous. The owners attended to our questions very quickly. We are anxious to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake. It was great to have two gathering areas. It was just the change of pace and scenery that we needed over the weekend.
