Mark and J'Anne were exceptional hosts, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They consistently checked in to see if we needed anything. The house was beautifully maintained and decorated to the highest standard, resembling a million-dollar property.

My husband, son and I had a wonderful weekend visiting with our daughter over the holiday weekend. The Desert Jewel was perfect for us and had everything we could possibly need. Mark and J’Anne were wonderful hosts. They were so respectful of our privacy, which made our stay even more comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Perfect stay for our Fourth of July hangout. Pool was perfect and backyard was a good setup for a few of us to relax in. Host were good at communicating

Very clean, host available but you have your privacy, close to downtown Gilbert. Hope it is available at next visit. I would recommend to look no further and book before it’s gone.

This place is everything we expected & more... everything was smooth. When we arrived Mark greeted us & walked us through the space. He made sure he knew he (& J'Anne) were available if we needed anything. HIGHLY recommend this space.Mark & J'Anne are so gracious. They've created a sweet oasis here! Gilbert has some great restaurants & there's lots to do within driving distance- we highly recommend making the drive to Saguaro Nat Park (just do the west side). We drove the Apache Trail- beautiful! Thanks for creating such a beautiful place to stay!

Place was clean, host was very accommodating, any thing I needed to use the out door grill was there and then some. Little extras like seasoning for food make it even better. The combination microwave air fryer and oven was awesome to use. Pool was clean, unfortunately didn’t have a chance to use it. Patio area had good seating and a fire pit. Would recommend

My mom and I were looking for a nice place to relax and refresh and that’s exactly what we got! The Jewel was exactly as pictured and then some! Wonderful host yet received so much privacy. Great communication. The Jewel was close to everything we wanted to do, excellent location. We enjoyed a show at the Hale Theatre, fantastic! Although what we enjoyed the most was relaxing by the pool and soaking up the Arizona sun! It’s very apparent the amount of thoughtfulness that went into every detail of this property when staying there. Looking forward to many more stays at the Jewel!

Fun but quick. Beautiful spot

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and quiet. This was our first experience using VRBO. The host & hostess went above & beyond to be accommodating. They offered to come & pick us up if we got stranded after our event. And they are mailing an item we forgot. We would stay there again if we visit Gilbert in the future.

Property was amazing - very clean inside and out! Looking forward to our next trip to Gilbert and hopefully this Jewel will be available for us next time.

This house has it all. Amazing hosts, every amenity you can think of, beautiful decor in great location. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Definitely book this property for your trip, you won't be disappointed.

We are a family and came for spring break to take our children to local attractions. We were incredibly please with the property. Not only was it clean, it is beautifully decorated and maintained to create a cozy environment for our children and a relaxing oasis for us! There is a plethora of amenities for guests including toiletries and coffee pods, the bedroom is so cozy, and the pool was perfect to round out the experience. I highly recommend this casita and look forward to returning!

An absolute gem of a property with everything you need. We were only really around to sleep there but it was such a relaxing stay amongst the chaos that was our convention weekend. I cant say enough good things about the hosts and what they offer. Just amazing.

It's apparent owners took pride in designing this quaint addition to their primary residence. The only possible issue I can think of is you are sharing a wall with the owners and their conversations radiate into the rental unit. Other than that it's a wonderful and private getaway.

This property was the absolute best. The hosts were so amazing and communicated with us throughout our stay and also provided great recommendations. The inside was so clean and the decor was my favorite. We will definitely be staying at this property again, if we come to Phoenix (Gilbert) again!!

Everything was fantastic, beautiful property.

My now husband and I just stayed here for a couple nights while we got married in Queen Creek. It was a beautiful spot that felt very private and luxurious! We will definitely be keeping this spot in mind for our next trips to the area :)

We loved our beautiful little property including the outdoor patio and pool. Every little detail was taken care of.

Can not say enough! We got in at almost midnight and stayed 2 nigjts total. The hosts had lamps candles amd music playing upon our arrival! Small and cozy, very clean and decorated very stylish. They ensure you have privacy and everlthing you could need. I only wish the weather had been nices so we could have enjoyed the beautiful pool. Price very reasonable and priced less than many hotels, plus much cozier and private. If we visit the area again we would not hesitate to look the Jewel up again. Actually was wondering if they had a monthly rate:)

J’Anne was so welcoming when we arrived and helpful too. The place is smaller than we expected and with many pieces of luggage/bags since the two of us have been traveling for a month, we really needed to make some décor adjustments, moving out lots of decorative pillows and arranging other items to clear some surface space. Desert Jewel is colorful and eclectic! Mark was also generous in sharing his woodworking projects. The outside space is lovely and we enjoyed eating grapefruits off the tree. We didn’t realize that the kitchenette was not equipped with a stove/oven range. It does have a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, and some alternative ways for cooking (microwave/outdoor grill), but we ended up eating out mostly, which in this area is not a problem! Based on that, we would recommend the place for shorter stays if a full kitchen is important. Shower was great, as was the heated toilet seat! We would suggest updating the bedroom rug and towels.The location offered us easy access to the foodie/heritage center of town, as well as, the major roads for trips around the area.

The property was very nice to stay at! Mark and Julianne were very gracious host. Travel around town and vicinity was easy. Black bear diner was an excellent choice for breakfast. Would definitely return for another stay, (just stay longer next time)! Well worth the wait to go there!

Property was a great getaway. Well appointed, comfortable, and relaxing. Communication with the property owners was fantastic. Very accommodating. The location was in a great spot for local spots. A true gem. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our time in staying at Desert Jewel. Place centrally located in quiet neighborhood. Owners friendly & great communication. Attended a wedding, went to Olive Mill, Desert Botanical Garden & Scottsdale to name a few…Lucked out on weather!

Trying vrbo was the best ever! We were so lucky to find Dessert Jewel in Gilbert. We were definitely spoiled by J’Anne and Mark. They are amazing hosts! The place is so elegant and put together very thoughtful, the pool is so clean too and we had an amazing stay! The only unfortunate thing is that we couldn’t stay longer. Highly suggested, I’ll share with all my friends and family for sure.

Had a wonderful time during our stay. It wasn’t as private as we had thought however. They had someone walking through the yard building something and had a family event going on. Some of the family cut through the yard and were outside of the property. There was a time where the curtains weren’t closed while we were out at the pool. Other than that we had a wonderful time.
