Although the place is great, you just cant count on the weather. So having a nice, cozy fireplace on a rainy, gloomy day was a huge saving grace.

Our family had a great time. We made a ton of memories from the lake activities to playing board games by the 🔥 on our 1 chilly day. The astonishment of my 22 yr old daughter catching her 1st fish was one of the many highlights. Our host was equally great. Always available and truly wanted us to have the best stay possible. They truly made this a great vacation. My family and myself thank you 😊.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lakehouse!!! First of all, Roarke is an extremely accommodating host. Despite an issue with the air conditioing breaking before our arrival in one of the bedrooms, Roarke went out of his way to install a new air conditioning unit. When the installation took longer than expected and intruded on our vacation time, Roarke went out of his way to make it right. You really could not ask for better customer service from a nicer person. The house itself was exactly what we needed and having the pontoon boat was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Our kids enjoyed fishing and riding on the raft. Having the paddle boat and kayaks was really nice. The small town was super cute. We loved going to eat at Pine Junction and French Creek Tavern. The drinks at Alexanders were fantastic. In Erie we did an escape room and explored Presque Isle. We enjoyed having wineries nearby. We met and talked to locals, played basketball, rented bikes, went for walks. The ice cream at Krasa's Kove was delicious. We had a fantastic, relaxing vacation all around. We would definitely stay here again!!!

My family had such a great time here! The house has everything you need and so many fun water toys!! I enjoyed making meals in the kitchen and we had fun nights out on the deck. The sleeping porch was such a treat and a great place to take naps! Roarke is a great host and I can’t wait to stay here again!

We had an amazing 4th of July. Amazing location!!!! We watched fireworks right from the middle of the lake. Communication with the host was excellent. The house has everything that you might need. And the best part was the boat, highly recommend it. Will definitely come back here the first chance we’ll get.

We found this place as a stop over on our week long road trip from Massachusetts to Indiana and then through Illinois, Michigan, and New York on the way back. It was such a relaxing part of our trip. Our only regret was not booking more time here! We have 5 children, ages 6 down to 2, between the two families. We personally do not love staying in places with lots of decorations or stuff that our kids can get into, so we base our decision to stay somewhere the plainer, the better. This place was absolutely perfect for our family! There was plenty of space....in fact, we didn't even use one whole bedroom! They had EVERYTHING we could have needed or wanted while we were there. I wish we had had more time to just hang out. They have a firepit on the dock, so we were able to enjoy a bit of time on the dock with a nice little fire on the day we were there (it was breezy and slightly chilly...so it was perfect). Everyone loved going on the paddle boat and kayaks. We just really, really enjoyed being there and definitely plan to return at some point for a long weekend. Thanks for having us, Baldwin family!

Great stay

The area where the house is located is beautiful. The house itself is very spacious. It was super clean and really nice inside. We had 5 kids ranging in age from 7-10 and there was lots of board games and fun stuff for them to do inside. I would highly recommend this house and we will definitely stay here again. The owners are very easy to get a hold of and communicate very well. We were very happy with the stay.

I love that the trail/lake is right near the cabin and dogs are allowed. Friendly and helpful owners.

The pictures don’t do this place justice! It was bigger than expected. The house had many amenities that we needed and the host always kept in touch! Everything was wonderful. Will definitely be staying here again!

We were attending a wedding at Bear Ridge Destination and wanted to rent a house for our overnight stay. Even though we were actually at the house for a short period of time, it was exactly what we needed. Clean, spacious, comfortable, secure.

The host reached out the day of check in and also when we got there to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. We went in November, so we didn't do any swimming, but it was still so beautiful. There's goof food within 15 min drive and cute little shops. Also, there was some family games that we took advantage of. Highly recommend. We actually are planning on booking again when we come up to go skiing.

The location is ideal in a quiet neighborhood. The view from inside or out on the deck is beautiful. The home is very comfortable and roomy, well stocked and clean. The host is exceptional. Roarke pays attention to guests needs and is readily available if you have a question. Couldn’t ask for a nicer host. We had an enjoyable week at the lake. This is our second time. Hope to return again.

Very nice lake house with everything you need. Lake Findley was new to us and it was perfect. Quiet little lake with amenities near by. The kids (and dogs) enjoyed fishing, kayaking, swimming and the boat rides. It was really home away from home. Would love to make this an annual trip. Roarke was a great host and available at all times.

Beautiful location, plenty of room for our group of 6. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat included with the rental!

We all loved being able to walk right out and go swimming. The house is well stocked with several water activities, there was something for everyone! Roarke was readily available for any questions and checked in a few times to ensure we had everything we needed.

This home is indeed perfect. The location on the lake, spacious rooms, cleanliness, decor, water amenities such as kayaks and a paddle boat all make you want to return just as we did for the 2nd time! Roarke is a super host and checked on us upon check-in and check-out. You'll definitely feel the warmth of this home and you won't be disappointed. We ate out at Pine Junction this time and that was great but most of our time was spent fishing and relaxing on the decks. We hope to return next year for a 3rd time! A great little house on a great little lake! Captains Quarters was just what we were looking for. Hanging out on the balcony, and the dock, we saw Findley Lake in all of its moods. Early morning flat calm with mist rising and birds singing, to late afternoons with happy boaters, skiers and tubers. All around good spot! Host (Roarke) was very helpful, check-in and out were a breeze.

Roarke and family sure have a fun house at a great spot on Findley lake and the " water toys" to use were great. Next time we will want to rent the pontoon boat! The water depth right off the deck is not too deep so fun to just hang out in the water. We had 7 " girls" ages 58 to 74 and each of us loved the house and decks and everyone said comfortable beds! Thank you for opening your home to others to enjoy life on the lake!

We enjoyed the overnight experience but what made this place one that we will return to is the host. Outstanding communication and gave us the feeling that we were totally welcome and that he genuinely cared that we enjoy ourselves. Top notch

Perhaps what we loved most was the cozy home feeling instead of the "staged," typical vrbo accommodations one often rents. This place has charm!
