My kids, wife and I rented this house so we could go to my grandson's high school graduation. We had a great time and the house was very close to the high school and other attractions we went to while we were there. The beach was just down the street and was a pleasant walk to get there. The house was nicely decorated, and a good layout for us to eat indoors or outdoors. Also, it was very well stocked with everything you needed in the kitchen, but we could have used a few more small bowls, as everyone wanted cereal for breakfast. Outside of that, and the cold , windy and overcast June weather, we had a great time, and would rent this house again, should we have a future trip in Ventura.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a clean & cozy house, close to the beach, that perfectly met our needs. The neighborhood is very quiet. We did not experience any issues, but the owner (John) very very prompt to answer our questions before & during our stay.

Our family of 4 adults and 2 children spent a Thanksgiving week at this very comfy home with all of the amenities we needed. It is a super location with a short walk to the beach and/or to Marina Park. We also appreciated the bottle of vino provided by the owner to welcome us. We hope to stay here again some time.

We had a really great week here. The 3 bedrooms are spacious and can easily sleep 5, and the sofa bed can accommodate a couple more if necessary. When we weren't on the beach, we really enjoyed hanging out on the front patio. Great time!

The best thing about this vacation house is the location. It’s literally steps from the beach - about a one minute walk. The water is perfect here: very cool but shallow which makes it perfect for swimming. The house is cozy and down-to-earth in style and has mostly everything you need for your stay. There were a few items we didn’t find in the kitchen (coffee filters and napkins) but it was a quick walk to the grocery store to purchase them. We could have used more beach towels - so you may want to bring a couple of your own. The house is walking distance to groceries, and about 5 restaurants. We didn’t drive at all during our stay - which was so relaxing! The bottle of wine from our host John was a nice touch. I’d stay here again.

We spent the 4th of July week at this great Ventura Beach cottage. The design, decor functionality , all the basics and more were there which made it so easy and comfortable to feel at home. John was a great host and provided extra touches to make this Property extra special.

This cute, well-appointed beach cottage was the perfect size for the four of us. A quick walk to the beach and close to the restaurants on Seaward. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when we return to Ventura.

This was a great place to stay for our Thanksgiving getaway. Loved the beach-themed decor. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with a lovely patio off one of the bedrooms. We also spent a lot of time on the spacious front patio (morning coffee and evenings). Beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and 2 bicycles were available to use (very convenient for us). This cottage is in a great location, within walking distance to the beach, Marina park, grocery store, and restaurants. My only complaint is not having cable t.v. (Netflix, Hulu, and other services were available, however). I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our vacation there a lot. The cottage has a very good location. Close to the Vons( Safeway) and what we love the most walking distance to the beach. Every morning we enjoyed our coffee on beautiful, very cozy front and back yard. The house is clean and has everything you need. Very quiet neighborhood. We will be back there for sure!

Location was awesome. Cottage was very well taken care of. John is an excellent host. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Lots of outdoor seating, nice and private setting, well appointed with kitchen equipment, comfortable.

We absolutely loved this charming beach house! My family was able to have their own "alone time" in separate areas of the house and the use of both patios (front and back) were awesome! The fire pit at night was a great highlight! It made us all converse and put down our phones! On the downside, I had no idea the walk to the beach would be a little lengthy and have huge climbing steps up and down to the beach. And I only say this because I was traveling with my elderly mother. It was a bit of a struggle to and from the house, but it was still amazing for those travelers that were young and on the move! The Marina was a short bike ride away - so that was a plus for the kids! The house and our host gets 5 stars! John, the host, was at our every need when texted. We all loved our time and love Ventura! We hopefully will be back soon! THANK YOU JOHN! YOU and your house ROCK!

No false advertising here! John, the property owner, has done a stellar job capturing exactly what this property is, a quaint beach cottage. It is precious! The neighbors are wonderful too! Most are dog owners and everyone was so friendly. The enclosed yard gave us piece of mind when our dogs wished to sun themselves out back. Morning and sunset walks on the beach followed by a fire in the fire pit in the backyard immediately became our routine for the week. The beach is steps from the house, and, it is a swimming beach, so, we rented wetsuits and boogie boards for our 13yo and 9yo. It was so, so convenient. This property was quiet at night too, so, we all slept well. Spring Break was a huge success! Thanks again John!! CHEERS to you!
