I've been to a lot of rentals. Many had something about them that were special, but nothing like this. You can tell this place is a labor of love with all the work and attention to detail that went into it. Everything was amazing and our host was fantastic. Check-in was easy, everything was well thought out in the place, and the location was very convenient. Unfortunately, due to the heat, we weren't able to take advantage of all the place had to offer, but we'll definitely be back when the weather is cooler.

Excellent house, it was a great short term getaway for our family. Very nicely updated with touches of the original home left. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved this house so much we came back again; this was our second stay at this awesome property! Great location, close to state parks for day hikes and a great home to come back to and relax in. House has a nice kitchen and is also close to a delicious restaurant, Grape Juice, for when you do not want to cook. Kids love the back yard and call it the Ping Pong house and want to come again already :) Thanks Tom and Erin!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Everything felt fresh, clean, comfortable and updated. The backyard and game barn made the property feel larger with more space for activities (my 7 and 11 yo loved the games)! Furthermore, there is a definite attention to detail with these property owners and managers.

In town with our group participating in a Community Theater competition. Facility was a wonderful place to unwind, relax, and distress at the end of the day. All of the attention to what may seem like small details make it a very memorable space. Appreciate the ice, drink mixers, water and premium coffee and tea. Heated mirrors, white noise machine in the bedroom, premium makeup removal cloths, marshmallows for roasting andAlexa….who does that? Would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

The Blue Heron was a great place to stay for our family of 4. The kids loved the outdoor games, especially ping pong, and I loved that the back yard is gated with comfy chairs for adults around a fire ring. The house had everything needed, and I liked that many things were labeled for ease of use. We spent most of our time at the house due to our kids getting sick and the house was comfortable with everything needed to make the best of our stay with sick kids. There was an issue with city workers needing access to the backyard during our stay and Tom and Erin reached out immediately to check in on us and the house. We look forward to coming back again!

The Blue Heron was a charming comfortable cottage with everything you needed. Felt like home!! The host were great. Cleanest place I have stayed in. Close to everything in Kerrville. We will definitely rent again next trip to Kerrville.

Feel in love with this cottage! So relaxing, fabulous decor, great accommodations. We loved it so much! Great coffee bar, spacious and inviting areas throughout the home. Awesome backyard, landscape, and barn game room. Definitely would stay here again!

We found Blue Heron to be very clean and well-appointed. Cooking utensils, toiletries, etc., were labeled so as to make it easy to find them, beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We found the privacy of the backyard made enjoying the fire pit in the backyard an ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings.

This is an amazingly restored home with the best of finishes and details. The owners have done a beautiful job of providing all the information you could ever need about the home and the area

A sorority sister and I stayed here while in town for another sorority sister’s mother’s funeral. The house was beautiful and had all of the amenities that we could even think about needing. The house next door was being renovated and when we first got there, the men working on the house made us a little uncomfortable. But after that. Everything was fine. I would recommend getting non see through curtains on the main parts of the house. Other than that, everything was perfect!

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Heron Cottage. It is a beautiful, well appointed house, close to downtown Kerrville & Schreiner University. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for accommodations in the area.

This property is perfectly remodeled and decorated. Just delightful! Close to Fredericksburg, Boerne, Comfort, and San Antonio. You won’t be disappointed!

We spent the weekend at the Blue Heron Cottage and I was blown away by this rental. It had beautiful decor, lots of activities to enjoy around the home. We spent so much time outside in the backyard, grilled and had a relaxing weekend!

This was the perfect property for our weekend getaway to Kerrville. The house was magical and perfectly appointed from arrival to departure. It is obvious that the owners have a keen sense of what travelers are looking for and go above and beyond to provide not only a wonderful space to stay but to enjoy as well. We had a blast with the ping pong table, the fire pit, and even played a game of Life!

The Blue Heron Cottage went above and beyond to create an amazing experience from the time we walked through the doors. Upon entering, we were taken away by how fresh and clean the space was. Being in Kerrville was the perfect opportunity to disconnect and unwind, especially in the backyard of the Blue Heron Cottage. The backyard is the perfect space to entertain and enjoy each other’s company with a large fire pit and space for corn hole and ping pong! While the backyard was gorgeous, we found ourselves spending most of our time indoors due to rain. The Cottage is filled with games and plenty of space to make the most of the time. Finally....my favorite part of the house...the restrooms!! No detail was missed. Gorgeous tile, amazing mirrors (perfect lighting for makeup) and anything you may need while away. Overall, we had a great weekend. I can’t wait to come back with friends and family in the future. From wineries to a cute rustic downtown, there is something Kerrville can offer for the whole family!
