The Island, the quiet, the ocean and the restaurants

Beautiful community, beautiful community property, large spacious house for families, beds were comfortable and newer, quiet and serene setting, master room and bath very nice, everything you need to enjoy a large family vacation.

We love Sunset Island, and the amenities in the neighborhood. The house could use some updating. The toilet paper holder in the master bathroom was broken. The water and ice in the fridge didn’t work. The kitchen could use some oven mitts and cutting boards. The bunk bed ladder was broken and the one closet door had no handle in the crab room. The carpet is very stained. The furniture on the porch was broken. The fridge/freezer wasn’t clean when arrived. The couch in the family room was broken.
The house itself is beautiful but needs some tender loving care. It does not look like the instagram handle @32seasidedrive
It could be amazing with some love.

Great location, but this unit could use some minor improvements. The sofa bed was broken so could not be used and a few cosmetic improvements needed (e.g., screw holes in wall, cabinet door hanging, stains in carpet, scratches on wall).

Nice vacation home

We were staying at Sunset Island while we coached AAU basketball. We needed a home base for our families and to relax between games. This was just what we required for our long weekend. We love Sunset Island because it is in the heart of OCMD, with the quiet of a resort away from the craziness of the town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Lots of space so no one was on top of each other! The kitchen lacked a few things ( enough silverware, big bowls) that we needed but we’re able to make do. :)
Overall, we loved it and would stay again!
Love that it’s a short walk to the beach and pool, but pool and gym hours were limited and didn’t work well with our schedule, so that was a bummer.

October is a great month to be in OCMD. Peaceful, great weather and no crowds. We had rain beginning of week and ended with two days of sunshine and beach time. The kids had a blast. The indoor pool was a lifesaver.

A relaxing family vacation. We love to stay at Sunset Island and this property did not disappoint. Creatively decorated, modern decor, and great added amenities (grill, extra fridge, water cooler, and more). Overall very clean and all working appliances. Linens and towels were provided which was a plus. Definitely recommend this home. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

This house was beautiful! My family especially my grandchildren love the balconies, the atmosphere, the private beach. That was really nice not to have to fight for a good spot on the beach. The home was great.

Family Getaway
The property grounds are lovely. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone was comfortable and at ease with ample space. We were 8 in total, we would return!

Perfect house for large family
This house is amazing! So spacious and updated. The smart TVs in every room, beautiful decor, fun family games, extra fridge space and bbq grill all made our vacation perfect!! The owners attention to detail made us feel at home!

Memorable
This home made our trip so memorable! The homeowners definitely made our stay welcoming. The attention to detail within the house were very well thought out. Fully stocked. New furniture. Every room was themed. The best part was the Scrabble Board off the kitchen. Our family loved that. It’s all of those personal touches that made our trip so memorable. Can’t wait to visit again!

Perfect Get-away
This house was the perfect mix of fun & relaxing! The home was big enough to accommodate all of us yet felt cozy at the same time. The location couldn’t be better! It was clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to book another vaca at 42 Seaside!!!

End of Season Stay
Bring that we rented towards the end of season- I wasn’t sure what to expect after a full summer season of rentals. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the home was and how it was very welcoming and so charming. New furniture- new outdoor furniture- even a second fridge was so helpful! Vacasa was so helpful when we forgot some toiletries that they brought them right over to house. I wish the stay was longer- we could have enjoyed it so much more!!!! The guest book was so special. You can tell the homeowners take a lot of pride in the property.

Family Beach Trip
This could be a 5 star property with the location, size of house and furnishings, but we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. My kids found food in their beds, the counters in the kitchen were all sticky, someone had spilled something in the bar wall area and never cleaned it (I ended up cleaning it so we wouldn’t get “dinged” for it), there were some strange stains on the bedding and there were not enough towels for a group of 12 when we arrived. If it had been clean when we arrived, this place would no doubt be 5 stars! We really did enjoy ourselves once we cleaned the house ourselves. And the location is fabulous! We will definitely stay at Sunset Island again.

Great location and great home. Vacasa staff was not very helpful, but the unit is good.

This house was configured perfectly for our family- 6 adults, 6 kids! Plan to add $70/person over 6 if you all want to use the facilities at the same time.
There was only one of 6 light bulbs working in the kitchen area and none in two of the bedrooms which was not addressed. The pots all had to be washed before use because a previous tenant had put a greasy pot away and the ice maker wasn’t working. On the positive side, my daughter was allowed to bring her service dog, the two refrigerators were great and the community had that wonderful “family “ feeling.

Needs a thorough cleaning
Items were left behind from previous renters which means the cleaning crew didn't do a thorough job. The inside of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers were filthy including the dishes. Many lightbulbs need replaced. While the floor seemed to be swept, cleaning up a spill showed how dirty it really was! The home is missing some bowls and mugs as well as a few other "nice to have" items like a full-size ironing board, salad spinner, and food containers.
