Very cute house Had several amenities that some dont have, like a steamer, soaps, shampoos and conditioners. The house is literally a block or so from Churchill Downs ( we were there for Derby kickoff). The one downside is the train sounds like its in your room all night and the entire weekend the neighbors were up past 1am having a good time...but that cant be controlled. The backyard does not have a lot to offer to hang ou. But i think that is because it is the other option to park your car. We did have great street parking all 4 days so we didnt use the private driveway/backyard. Overall, a great house and nice place to stay for a long weekend.

The locomotive house was fantastic, exactly as listed. Location was great for our weekend and plans. The property was clean and stocked with necessities to get you started. Communication with property owner was well timed, very clear, and included recommendations for restaurants for your stay. I’d love to visit during warmer weather, the backyard area looked like a great place to spend an evening. Thrilled with our stay and!

First time renting a house, have to say it was really great. Totally different felling heading to a house where you can relax after a long day on your feet, verses a hotel room. The place was clean and the beds comfortable.

Our stay was great, Freddie had perfect timing with all communication and the house was as expected. Walking distance to a number of nearby venues and convenient to get in and out of. Even during a major sporting event we were able to find a route without traffic. House had a lot of nice touches that made our week go easier. Small things like noise machines and plenty of towels. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. We plan to use this property again next year

This was a lovely house in perfect proximity to the Exposition Center. The train theme was so well done throughout the house. The host was very accommodating and easy to work with. We would absolutely rent again when in the area.

THIS IS CERTAINLY A LOCOMOTIVE HOME... I HADE 2 YOUNG CHILDREN UP ALL NIGHT FOR TWO NIGHTS... IF A MILE LONG TRAIN WAS NOT PASSING THROUGH, ( WHICH IS LITERALLY 50 FEET AWAY), A PLANE WAS TAKING OFF FROM THE AIRPORT WHICH IS ALSO VERY CLOSE BY..... THIS WENT ON FOR OVER 5 HOURS... IT IS UNFORTUNATE THE HOST DOES NOT SPECIFY THIS ON HIS POST... IT IS A VERY WELL KEPT, NICE HOME, BUT THE NIGHTS ARE A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE..

We loved the house. The kids were able to sleep in the bunk beds. There is some train and airplane noise but we weren’t bothered by it at all. Convenient location and the communication was great. Will definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area!

We enjoyed our stay at the Locomotive House in Louisville. The location for all of our excursions was excellent. It had parking available on the street in front of the house and in the fenced-in area behind the house. We did have an issue with the AC upstairs, but the owner was planning on having it checked after we left. Overall, it was a good experience.

We had a wonderful time. The property was exactly as advertised. Fredie did a great job with communication. We had zero issues or complaints and felt very at home. We highly recommend this listing.

The house looks just like the photos. Everything about the check in and check out process was easy. If we had any questions they were answered quickly. It’s in the perfect location. We will definitely stay here again

The home was very nice, clean and comfortable. The only negatives were that it is very close to a very busy train track. Our first night was a little difficult to sleep because of some loud squeaky trains. Also the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom were so very squeaky! It was so loud we could hear it in our room even when my children would move just a little.

This was such a fun themed Vrbo! The train came through at all hours of the day, so the theme is fitting. Can’t beat the location next to ChurchHill Downs. Fredie was great to work with and very accommodating. My only complaint is that it was hard to lock the back gate and enter the back door of the property. Had we been able to park on the street for our stay, we probably wouldn’t have had any issue. On street parking was full when we stayed so I was glad to have the private gravel pad in the back.

We stayed here for opening day racing at Churchhill Downs. Location was perfect just a few blocks away. The house was clean and comfortable. Host was very accommodating and helpful.

We had a great time during our stay here! Very close to Churchill Downs and shopping centers for groceries/ refreshments. The house was very clean and cute on the inside and most importantly- the beds were comfy! Fredie was great with communication on answering any questions we had before and during our stay.

This home location was great for our volleyball tournament. The home was very nice and clean on the inside and we will definitely be returning here for our next Louisville Tournament. Thank you for all the prompt communication before, during, and after our stay.

We enjoyed our one night stay here on our way to Tennessee. We have a trip planned in March to visit Louisville & will be looking to stay here again. It's blocks away from Churchill Downs. And not too far of a drive to the Louisville Slugger Museum as well as the Muhammad Ali Center. Fredie was an excellent communicator with all the details of the house as well as some recommendations for good places to eat & shop; nice to have a host share their recommendations. House has everything you would need for any length of stay & bedrooms were comfortable, clean, & most important good mattresses. Highly recommend to anyone visiting in the Louisville area.

Did not feel this location was appropriate for teenage girls and it smelled like mildew. The host was very responsive to all my inquiries before we arrived. Upon arrival, I reached out to host twice to express my concerns and never heard back. We stayed at a hotel and still paid for 2 nights, required insurance and cleaning fees.

I cannot put into words how beautiful this home is! The owner is super friendly and very informative! If you are headed to Louisville stay here!

This home is beautifully updated, very clean and comfortable and in a great location near everything you might like to do in Louisville. It is within easy walking distance to a grocery store, coffee shop and offers off street parking with a locked gate. The host went above and beyond this weekend when an AC issue occurred with the brand new unit that was not his fault. He bent himself over backwards to get the AC working, and when he was delayed due to parts issues, got us whatever we needed to be cool and comfortable for a busy weekend at the Bourbon & Beyond Festival. He also graciously refunded us a night stay for the first night it went out at a very late hour. Customer service is not dead. Walked through the neighborhood morning and nighttime and felt totally safe. Neighbors are friendly and quiet.

I was meeting up with five other friends in Louisville and we had a perfect stay with Fredie! Everything was excellent!
