Excellent stay! Everthing we needed for a quiet getaway.

Everything from booking to checkout was awesome. Communication with the owner was excellent. Very easy to check in and the cottage was spotless with everything you could need. Loved doing yoga on the deck in the morning. Air conditioning was wonderful and is auto programmed perfectly. Ceiling fan in the bedroom was appreciated. Not because it was too hot but because I always like a fan running. Location was convenient to visit the nearby historical towns. Harpers Ferry and Leesburg and we ventured over to Annapolis one afternoon. People complain about the proximity to the owners property but you only see their house when entering. The back deck and grounds behind the cottage are very private. I never saw the owners or their children. I saw the dogs once, well behaved, no barking and stayed on their side well away from the cottage. I know he wanted to run and say hello but he just wagged his tail hopefully. Adorable. Lots of wild life on the grounds. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Hope to return one day and totally recommend to others.

The cottage was a perfect, quiet retreat for a couple. The owner communicated frequently with us to ensure a smooth check in and to be sure we were comfortable. He even provided a much-appreciated lagniappe since we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was an abundance of fluffy towels in the bath. Toiletries, coffee/creamer and dish and laundry soap were also provided.

Cute little house, clean and nicely decorated. Good communication with the owner. Definitely made for two people, small and quaint.

The Summers did very well at setting up this small little house efficiently and conveniently. Again, maybe not quite as back in and private as you might think from the pics but owners do well at keeping it quiet and private around the house. It was our first bnb on our trip and definitely the best so far. Definitely can recommend it!

This was the perfect little guest house! Everything was organized and clean. It had a homey feel and wish we could have stayed longer. It was also set in a quiescent setting and was very peaceful. I would stay there again.

My girlfriend and I did a 3-day weekend rental. The property was absolutely beautiful. Check in was smooth. The only issue, if I had to pick something, would be that the cottage is closer to the main house than we expected. It's not like we had any problems with the owner... in fact, other than assisting us with the check-in, we didn't really see/hear them the entire stay. It just wasn't as secluded as we we're picturing. Besides that little nom-issue, we enjoyed everything about the place. It was immaculately clean, had all the features one might expect i a much more expensive rental. Fridge, Freezer, Stove, Dishwasher, Fully Stocked Keurig, plenty of cookware, free Wifi and Roku TV, with Netflix Account included!!! The decor was modern country, and The bed was SO comfortable. The place is the perfect size for a couple looking to spend a few days away from the rat race. There's a private deck out back where you can take in the sounds of several different birds, squirrels and toads from the pond. At night, since there is 0% light pollution, you can see so many stars, it's hard to find a section of sky without one. All in all it was an absolutely fabulous trip, and we would definitely stay there again.

Our hosts provided a truly lovely and gracious getaway. We enjoyed the fully stocked and beautifully appointed cottage. Very peaceful in a stunning setting. Definitely looking forward to a return visit

We spent an extended weekend here celebrating our 40th anniversary and we loved it! The cottage is decorated beautifully and the kitchen was stocked well for cooking our own meals. The bed was comfortable and the little nook off the bedroom was like having a walk in closet. Communication with the owners was great, we always had quick responses to any question we had. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to be in a quiet, peaceful spot and still be close to site seeing and other activities.

Spent a few wonderful days here relaxing and enjoying the area. Farm stores, wineries, and historic Leesburg nearby. We saw deer meandering about and slept so well with the peace and quiet. Great for couple getaway.

The house sat closer to the main farmhouse than we were expecting, but it did not interfere with having peace and quiet. The house was roomy for two and had everything we needed. The decor was very welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Everything was great, Dustin’s house is a lot closer then we thought it would be. Something up with bedroom floor. We enjoyed how peaceful it was.

This was exactly what I was looking for! Quiet, clean and so charming. Dustin takes excellent care of this place. It was so clean and charming with a lovely little nook for writing and pastoral views from the kitchen table. I will definitely be back!

From the time we booked this property till the day we left, the owners were available to answer any questions or provide help! They have thought of every nicety just like a 5-star hotel. If you are looking to be in a peaceful, beautiful environment-this is the place!!!

The property was easy to find with the extra directions the owner sent. The rental is a fair size for two people and was generally clean and decorated well. We were planning a relaxing, quiet retreat where we could avoid the usual demands of a work week. Unfortunately we were unable to relax as we wished due to the inability to use advertised features. The refrigerator, freezer, stove and grill were all important factors in booking the vacation rental. We even reached out a few weeks prior to ensure we read the advertised listing correctly! However, immediately after arriving on a Sunday and unloading the car, we received a message from the owner that the fridge was turned off and would need to be turned on prior to use due to minor frosting. This was a problem as we brought groceries that needed to immediately be stored in the fridge and freezer. As the day progressed, the fridge/freezer did not appear to be cooling down at all and by the next morning our groceries (outside of beverages) were spoiled. We had some back-and-forth messages with the owner who came over to look at it while we were out each day. The situation was not sorted out until Wednesday afternoon when the owner realized that the fridge and freezer compartments were actually the opposite from how he had set it up. The temperatures for both compartments were not usable until mid-Thursday morning which at that point was 1/2 day from when we would be leaving. Due to these issues, we weren't able to use the food we brought and had to eat out every day (which was the opposite of our plan for a relaxing vacation in a quiet retreat). We are disappointed with the advertising of a feature that we could not use. It put a wrench in our plans that should have been rectified by the owner of the rental.

My wife and I wanted to go to a remote location to celebrate our anniversary. This place was perfect for us! Every amenity was provided... very comfortable bed, cozy atmosphere, nice relaxing porch, etc. The owners thought of everything we could possibly need during our stay. Great hosts!

We wanted to get away to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. This place was perfect and my wife loved it!!! The cottage was very nicely renovated and was well decorated and clean. It was so nice to wake up and have a cup of coffee on the patio and just listen to nature. The property has everything needed to stay for awhile, but is also located close to shopping, local restaurants and site seeing without being too far off the beaten path. We loved Lovettsville and will definitely consider staying again in the future!!!

My husband and I spent three nights here for a getaway while our kids were at overnight camp. Despite the fact that it was a longer drive from Harper's Ferry than we anticipated (need to remember VRBO uses distances as the crow flies rather than driving), the rental was absolutely lovely! It was private and peaceful, with so many thoughtful touches by the owners. The kitchen was well-appointed with all the essentials we needed to be able to make fabulous breakfasts with the fresh eggs, goat cheese, sausage, and blueberries we got from the farm store down the road. The bedroom was quite roomy and, though we had not planned to use them, we were grateful for the laundry facilities after hiking on a particularly hot day. Once we got down the rural road where the house is located, it was an easy drive to several good restaurants, wineries, and breweries. I would highly recommend this spot if you are looking to unwind and take it slow!

After 12 years of being together a little quality time was needed. This house had just the right amount of amenities. Super clean, great little lake and super commutative owner. Win
