The staff were really so helpful in reception and transport of the shuttle and dining. Easy checking in, rooms comfortable and neat!

The place itself has a most attractive history sites.

The improvement of time needs to be done at night shuttle, for fetching people, it least let it be, less time waiting instead of 30 minutes or more waiting to return back to the hotel. Time waiting, especially at night on an cold weather, is unbearable.

Location within the theme park was wonderful and transport to the casino was very efficient. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was your typical buffet spread which was very good.

The lack of water to the rooms was very inconvenient. We could not shower and had to collect a bucket of water down stairs to flush the toilet. Had to use bottled water to brush teeth. Not being able to bath or shower in an upmarket hotel is unacceptable. We brought guests with us from New Zealand and it was very embarrassing explaining them.

The property is clean and clearly marked, you will never get lost. it is very family friendly.

Staff were extremely helpful and great as compared to before. A huge improvement there. Breakfast was good- also a huge improvement. The room was comfortable and clean- again another huge improvement as to previously.

We loved the fact that my daughter and I received free pass into the theme park over two days, that was amazing, thank-you! And also the breakfast included at Barney's, it was lovely. Loved having coffee and tea available in the rooms too.

It was quite disappointing that the rooms were not decorated in the old mining days theme; it was a rather bland, average looking room. Also, the bar of hand soap at the basin is not pleasant, it smells like lard. Lastly, the reception staff organised us transport to the concert, but failed to let us know the cost, which was very expensive, so we did not get a chance to find alternate transport, or accept the cost of the organised transport.

Excellent breakfast

I was told at the gate on arrival that there were no bookings in the hotel that day. However I went to the front desk and they had to search to find my booking. In spite of there being VERY few people booked in this large hotel, I was given a very poor room. Air con did not work. The view was terrible - they had put a board on the window to avoid clients looking at the view. The headboard was tatty, the room poor The window was locked, the temperature high and air con not working. Certainly did not match the website! I could have stayed at alternative venues for less than half the ridiculous price I paid. Makes me doubt the reviews I see on the facilities on booking.com's website.
