Was told on booking there was a sofa so me and my mate could have separate beds and that's only reason booked It was just a normal sofa in communal area

Location was good. The room itself was fine and rather nicely decorated.

The bathrooms were very old, dirty and mouldy. The shower head was kind of broken. No toilet paper. It smelled pretty bad as well. The outside door of our room was broken, so anybody from the street could have just walked in. Unfortunately the host didn‘t repair the door after we informed him. Sheets were rather thin (so it was pretty cold) and also dirty. Overall the entire guesthouse has a strong smell. I‘m sorry but we actually had to cut our stay short!

This was a very entertaining and mysterious place! The hosts did respond when asked in very few words and pictures to let us know how to get in and where to find a key. The property itself is lovely. A very nice home with 3 guest rooms and a shared bathroom on one end and 2 guest rooms and a shared bathroom on the other end. There also appears to be a large suite on the upper floor and we could see people up there. They must have had their own kitchen and bath. As far as breakfast goes...on the first day, very clearly were there 5 labeled baskets (one per each of the 5 rooms) containing for each person: 2 slices of bread, a small muffin and an apple. In the refrigerator are trays on designated shelves for each room. The trays had cold items for each person: yogurt (sugary), iced-tea (sweet), a slice of ham and a slice of cheese and a small bottle of water for each person. So all in all, a fairly generous breakfast although lower quality sugary items. As a budget traveller, I'll take it! A washer was advertised so I used this stop along my travels for a "laundry day". The kitchen was well appointed and very nice. There was a small lovely little pool and sitting areas out back. There was also a friendly little ginger tabby who appeared to live on the property in the back yard. Once we were used the idiosyncrasies and accepting of the mysteries surrounding the breakfast, laundry, pool sounds, and possible pet cat - we found the place quite charming. We were able to walk or use Uber to get downtown so the distance isn't that daunting. We also found a restaurant nearby with good food for our last night. The hosts would respond to requests like running out of toilet paper (some magically appeared later in the day) or wanting to take the breakfast with us the following day so could it please be there early.

The hosts didn't reach out to us like most do prior to arrival. We had to reach out to them the day before and again the same day. It appears that breakfast may or may not arrive consistently each day. At one point I wondered if the hosts lived upstairs and were just introverted, shy, or language challenged perhaps. Perhaps they were doing their best. Maybe they've been having difficulty finding consistent help. But I can only speculate. Some of the items seemed to arrive mysteriously at different times. Bedding for the guests was left to dry on the rack from the day before and still hanging on the rack already dry much later the next day. I took the bedding off the rack to fold and clear so that I could it. There was also guest bedding left in the washer so I had to remove this to use it. In the kitchen, it was difficult to determine which items were common use, and which areas were for travelers to keep their personal items. It would have been nice to have some extra butter or oil around to make a sandwich with the ham and cheese as there was a sandwich press. The pool made some strange sounds which were very entertaining and mysterious. It sounded at times like a very large gigantic person was shaking a tumbler of ice and then crunching ice with teeth. Or like a gigantic dog chewing on bones. The sounds were right outside my window and incorporated into my dreams. It would have been nice to know if the cat that appears to live in the back yard was being properly cared for. I wondered if someone was feeding it each day. It seemed happy the first day and cuddled in my lap for quite a while but a little distraught towards the end of the next. I fed it some ham - which it ate but I don't think that's the best cat food. The beds were not super plush and a little creaky - but not bad. I was able to sleep just fine.

To start with some good points, the flat is definitely within walking distance to the beach and the neighbourhood while a bit ragged in some places, actually feels very safe. There are a few good supermarkets a short drive away. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed (check the cupboards to see what oils and seasonings etc, have been left, to save wasting money when you go shopping). The pool area and the benches were a nice touch.

However, we generally found that the place was only adequate for our needs, but did not really exceed them. The bathroom was shared with another room, which we weren't expecting and was not the same one in the picture and instead was small and dingy. There were no staff members on site to let us in, and we only got in because of another guest. We were able to communicate with the owner via whatsapp and he was helpful but it was frustrating to have to wait outside with no means of getting in after a long tiring journey. The room had no air conditioning and a weak rotary fan, which was too much during the 40.C heat. We concluded that if we were expecting this sort of 'hostel' setup beforehand, we would have been more accepting, but we felt the photos and description were a misrepresentation, as is suggested by other reviews and consequently were a bit disappointed.

Pool was really nice to have and also nice garden outside to sit, eat or just chill

Firstly, bed was TRULY DISASTER since it would squeaked on every single move. That truly made our stay discomfortable.

2 Single beds instead of a double one

Loved the pool and the included breakfast made this property exceptional value for money. It was also within 20minutes walking distance from most attractions and easy to find.

Claudio was super helpful and left the key under the mat for us as we were arriving late. Breakfast was prepared the night before and left for us in the fridge so we could have it whenever we woke up.

The rooms were big and nice and the common areas were also great. The pool was the best part. There was a store and a few restaurants near by. Great value for the price in my opinion.

The guesthouse was a bit far from the centrum and the beaches but if you don’t mind a little walking then it is fine. Many of the neighbours had dogs that barked a lot, early in the morning and when walking by. That was a bit annoying. The pictures from the toilets are also not accurate and in reality the toilets are a bit old but still alright in my opinion.

Tried to contact staff to solve a problem and had no answer

No reliable host, He tried help but Everytime failed No check-in on time I can't leave my baggage I was waiting before door and no one open. Host is hard to communicate when you need it No working TV Internet connections break Bad was horrible In the areas are dangerous dogs

Nice house

Very nice house and we had a nice and clean room. The Check-In was very easy, friendly Staff.

The wasn't any Hand Soap on the Toilets. The breakfast is very basic but fine for one night.

The apartment ist very good, big and quiet. The room was clean and very nicely decorated. A very well equipped and big kitchen. The communication was good and quick. The spontaneous extension worked very well. We will recommend it!

It was good that we could use the kitchen and fridge. Location was ok, and the room looks nice. Pool and backyard are also nice! We like cats so we didn't mind hanging out with them, but if someone doesn't or maybe has an allergy, they are always arund and going in and out of rooms.

I didn't realize it was a shared bathroom bedroom because it wasn't written in the room description, but in some additional details. The bed- that was the squeakiest bed I ever slept in, so squeaky we couldn't sleep on it. Also the door handles. There were 5 rooms, all of them with old squeaky handles that are so loud it's unreal. As well as the fron door, that you have to slam to close. So don't expect to sleep if anyone else is awake, because it's not possible to be quiet there. Bathroom wasn't the one that's on the picture, it's old, and we didn't even get the soap to wash hands. Towls are old and leave parts of it on your body. And they haven't changed them even once during our stay. Breakfast- so weak. Just long lasting products and one piece od cheese and ham per person.

The property was in a very nice neighbourhood and everything was great. I especially liked the pool which was a nice surprise for us. The breakfast was also good. I really recommend Travellers Guesthouse!

The bed was a little squeaky.

I loved my room, there was a lot of light, it was spacious and right next to the bathroom. I LOVED the free breakfast we had everyday. Juice, milk, bread, cheese, ham. This is the first place I stayed that did that. The place was spacious and clean I'd stay here again!

The location is close enough to town but a bit of a walk if you don't have a car, which I didn't. It would be perfect it you had a car The pool needed some cleaning The mattress was very firm which made my back a bit sore, but that is more of a personal preference because I'm used to soft mattresses.

The pool. Besides the room was nice and spacious with a comfortable bed and a lot of closet space. It all looked nice and ‘at home’ with the plants etc. Also the kitchen was pretty big and very useful - even equipped with a dishwasher and laundry machine. It holds the middle of a hotel and hostel witch suited perfectly for us.

The breakfast isn’t great. And it was a bit hard to find and the host isn’t around all the time so be sure to call if you know what time to arrive.
