Excellent facilities, friendly and accomodating staff. Asked for a later checkout and they were able to accommodate for us! Rooms are well equipped and clean 😁

The hotel is well situated in the centre of Hobart with lots of good restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful. The rooms are functional, and the hotel offers a value for money stay.

There was some noise from the pub across the road one night.

Nothing good to say about this place

Could not give this hotel a worse review. It was so bad I had to leave early. Room is outdated, dirty, uncomfortable and unkept. Beds were so bad I needed physio after. Aircon is locked on one temperature and can't be adjusted. There are light fixings that are sparking in the room, bedside lamps that don't have bulbs, etc. Staff are awful, hard to get in contact with, and they say they are too understaffed to be able to do general housekeeping that is expected from a hotel. I was waiting until 7pm at night to get fresh towels and only because I said it needed to be done ASAP and they were very rude about it, when it was requested from 9am in the morning. I'm always kind to service staff, management issues aren't their problem, but everyone was truly useless. They have serious security issues, a staff member left my door unlocked and wide open for an entire day for anyone to enter the room and rob me, and refused to give an apology even though they admitted it was them. Could not supply you with anything basic, for example on 6 different occasions I kindly requested a fork, and it was never given. Booking.com support even stepped in about needing to check out early, and they couldn't even get in contact with any staff for hours at the front desk. The hotel, to date, has still refused to give me an invoice or receipt. They also charge you for parking, but the carpark is tight and full, and there is a very likely chance you won't even get a spot even though you've paid for it.

The bathroom in one of the rooms I booked was really old and it didn't smell great. The water pressure in both bathrooms was non-existent

Hotel was well priced. within a short walk of most attractions.

Rooms are not serviced so had to ask for more toilet paper and shower gel. Not enough room to hang up two towels in bathroom.

The location was excellent, right in the middle of the action. Great view from the window to wake up to each morning.

No breakfast, even a breakfast pack available for purchase would have been better. Most people don't want to go and fork out $20-25 per day at a cafe.

Very noisy- inside aircon duct assuming made a lot of noise sounded like a truck was in the corner of the room The whole time. There was a gap between bed and window Which was full of all sorts of hair, fluff and dust which was a bit off putting Having to pay for parking was a first! I would have booked elsewhere if i knew it was $28 extra- made the stay more expensive and other options around would have been a better option overall for value for money

There is bed bugs and we stayed for more than a night I thought we might have had house keeping come in or new towels as we stayed 3 nights but no. Parking is $30 a night, we ended up paying nearly as much for parking than we did to stay the night.

Wasn’t any breakfast options to my knowledge. Bed and bathroom was good.

Not sure if all the queen rooms were supposed to come with a microwave or kitchen sink but my room didn’t have this.

Location was amazing

Advertised with aircon. However set at 23 and it was a hot day so room was stuffy and hot. Therefore our sleep was terrible. Plus paid $28 extra for parking even though it' also advertised parking (but does not mention the extra). Could have stayed somewhere better for same price in the end.

Beds were uncomfortable. No doona covers just an insert between 2 flat sheets. Dusty spoons. Hard coffee and sugar. Terrible water pressure. Could hear next door pooping. Can't adjust the temperature to make the room cooler which was an uncomfortable sleep. Poor lighting. No spare pillows and what pillows were there gave us bad necks. No face washers provided. No bath plug even though there's a bath, asked for 3 different plugs and none fit so gave up on the bath.

The Location was probably the only thing we liked.

Where do we start ? The Aircon was locked so temp was 23 dgs all night making it sauna like. No room service except 1 day, had to dump dirty towels in hallway and ask reception for new towels. When they did do room service they didn't clean floor. Fridge was on high temperature so soft drink cans froze resulting in one exploding in fridge. Even when we turned temp down to 2 it continued to freeze 2 days later. Charged $28 a day to park on premises. The foyer had trolleys dumped right outside the lift area blocking the lift entry, large trolleys full of towels/ sheets just sitting right across all lift entries. Got a call from staff while out saying we needed to pay for technician that came out because the fire alarm cover had been removed in our room setting off alarm downstairs. When I pointed out to them the cover was missing before we arrived and why didn't staff pick it up when getting room serviced before we arrived ? And why didn't alarm trigger when previous guests removed it ? In our opinion the Hotel only wants to rake in money for profit and don't care at all for guests whatsoever. I can't believe the authorities let them operate like that, it's appalling.⁷

Cleanliness Rooms not ready on time for check in

Die Aussicht auf Hobart war schön, die Lage ist sehr zentral und die Einkaufsmeile fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war aussreichend groß und es gab eine kleine Kaffeemaschine.

Es wurde mit einem kostenlosen Parkplatz geworben, dieser war aber nicht verfügbar und Parken in näherer Umgebung kaum möglich. Am Sonntag gab es zudem einen Markt für den die Straße vor dem Hotel gesperrt wird, sodass Parken nur im (teuren) Parkhaus möglich war. Das Bett war leider nicht besonders bequem, ich kann sonst überall gut schlafen, aber hier habe ich 2 sehr wenig erholsame Nächte verbracht. Die Klimaanlage ist zudem direkt aufs Bett gerichtet, sodass es entweder stickig oder zugig ist. Das Badezimmer bietet wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten und keine Möglichkeit das Handtuch aufzuhängen. Das Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt und auch kein Kaffee nachgefüllt, sodass wir die Kaffeemaschine am zweiten Tag nicht nutzen konnten. Es gibt auch kein Restaurant, also auch kein Frühstück. Alles in allem hat das Hotel seinen Zweck erfüllt, aber es bleibt vor allem ein Eindruck: Schade.

We loved the central location which made everything so much easier while traveling with kids. There were lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. It was a quick walk down to the Salamanca market and main attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. The rooms were just perfect for a small family.

The bathroom amenities were limited.
