Zentral am Highway - allerdings dadurch auch sehr laut

Deutlich unterschiedlicher Qualitätsstandard zwischen verschiedenen Unterkünften von Sonder. Tage zuvor positiv überrascht worden - in Newport allerdings war alles dreckig, alt und heruntergekommen - vor allem in unserem Zimmer!

The location is right on hwy.1 and it’s loud

Das Zimmer ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet, wurde erst vor kurzem renoviert und ist sehr sauber. Auch das Parken ist mit inbegriffen. Zum Strand muss man nur auf die gegenüberliegende Straßenseite. Nach Balboa Island in die eine Richtung und Huntington Beach in die andere sind es nur wenige Fahrminuten.

There wasnt always staff around. Our room was not ready on time and that was after being told the day before that our early check in had been denied. It wasnt even ready for our normal check in after they promised to prioritize our room. Then the keypad wasnt working at first and they dont have normal keys. Also access to towels was limited. Oh and the fitted sheets on the bed were way annoying. They came off every time wed lay down. Also the parking lot is a nightmare.

The kludgy registration and check-in process. My wife spent more than an hour on the phone with your representative in order to complete registration process. The traditional way is much better and user friendly.

Location great by beach and big thanks to housekeeping manager for helping with car trouble.

Shower knob was loose and difficult to get water at right temperature

location was great, close to beach. I like how the towels are easy to get among other things. I didn't have issues with parking like others apparently had.

Not necessarily that I didn't like it but it does take some getting used to is the main reliance on the app to check in and out. It's easy to this is how most hotels will operate in the future and I know people like my parents that feel technology hates them will have a harder time adjusting to this style. But the front desk workers were great answering further questions.

Staff were great but the room felt more like a motel. The ground was dirty and the faucet had some green mold. Nice Roku TV and comfortable bed. Overall comfortable enough for a quick stay.

Too much app stuff to even get a room booked. Our room was near a room that housed several Batteries with caution label on the outside of the door which was very concerning

fantastic location right opposite the beach, we even had a a sea view through the building opposite. great concept where there was a cupboard for fresh towels, toilet rolls coffee etc for when you needed more as there is no maid service (unless you pay $40) but it wasn’t needed plus there was a little hoover at reception for any mess you may make in your room there’s was a great breakfast/brunch practically next door which we went to each day. I would recommend a room with balcony for fresh air. the Roku tv was great as you could log in to your own prime, Netflix etc

additional fees for basic hotel services. $35 extra for a room cleaning - $25 extra for early check in - $20 a day for parking. they have a cabinet near the lobby with extra towels and cups etc. Towels were very low to no stock

The customer service is awful. We were locked out of the hotel and our room twice and waiting outside in the cold for an hour. The customer service is unable to help with anything at all. Customer service is supposed to help people not wait for someone else to answer because they are incapable of everything. Absolutely horrible and beyond disappointing.

I didn’t like how everything was an additional cost or threatened of one for example parking, cleaning fee, early arrival, etc..we had no tv since we didn’t have any internet services. It was our anniversary and nothing special was recognized as such. We had construction going on with pounding and so much noise we had to change to a smaller room and we had to move our cars out of the parking lot for the construction trucks across the way to a less securitized area. When we were packing up the codes to enter our room was already blocking us from entering so one of us me or my husband had to stay inside so to let the other in otherwise we would have gotten locked out without retrieving all of our belongings.
