Great location in downtown Springfield. Walking distance to Lincoln Museum, Lincoln House and other historical sites. Many restaurants near by. House was clean. Check in was very simple. Owner communication was excellent.

Everything was walking distance, had a great time Upstairs bedroom a little warm, we should have used fan in closet. Very clean

It's a great spot for sleeping and the basics. Super clean and I could tell they work to keep it in character. The bedrooms and bathrooms are great. The kitchen is great too. There's a nice big table where we were able to spread out our work for the week and still eat meals. The only things we didn't like: there isnt any comfortable seating in the living room or kitchen table. Im an avg size woman and the kitchen chairs left brusies on my backside from the cute little trim that makes them look antique. Also it definitely smells historic in there, musty. No amount of candles/air freshners could stop it. The property mgmt company was on top of things re our reservation. They stayed in touch and texted me promptly w reservations and info on how I would access the building.

We loved staying at the Carriage House. It met my family's needs perfectly and the location was close to restaurants and attractions like Lincoln's Neighborhood. I highly recommend this property if you're looking for somewhere to stay other than a hotel and be close to downtown in Springfield.

We decided to book a last-minute trip to Springfield and found this gem! it is definitely treat if you’re looking for a gateway or looking for a historical place to fit the sites, this place is it.

The carriage house was fantastic for our recent stay in Springfield. The location was perfect. We could park the car and walk to the historical sites and restaurants. Kitchen was easy to use. Washer and dryer was a bonus for us! We had a great time in Springfield.

Very historical property. Easy access. Very clean. Perfect for 2 to 4 people. It did only have one shower. Kitchen was new and all appliances worked well. We were there from Sunday to Tuesday and it was very quiet. Being off-season. We loved it. The only thing that was missing was recommendations for local restaurants. It is always appreciated, knowing what’s recommended. I would definitely stay here again.

Simply amazing. We had the entire property and it over impressed. Loved it!

My husband and daughter stayed at the Bressmer Carriage House during our recent visit to Springfield, Illinois. Management was in constant communication with us to check to see how things were. We felt welcomed and appreciated. This kind of communication was the first ever experienced during our many years of National and international travel. We wouldn’t trade this kind of hospitality . It was outstanding and would highly recommend this location. We have already booked future stays at the Bressmer Carriage. House.
