A great getaway spot! Loved the view of the lobster boats on the bay. Cozy and comfortable space. We loved sitting out on the porches. The house had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

We had a great time in Maine, and while we did not spend much time in the rental (mostly just sleeping) what we did was great. My favorite thing about the rental is how easy it was to find. It is well located on the main road for the area, and the color scheme stands out so it is almost impossible to miss. This made coordinating with other folks super easy.

Easy to find, cute, loved the view. It was a little deceiving… looks like it’s right on the water but actually it’s across the street. It said 8 miles from Acadia National Park but we actually had to drive 1 hour to get there. Towels were stained and banaster was broken. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to have had more time there.

Really enjoyed our stay at lobster house. It is about an hour's drive from Bar harbor, but it was really quiet and very close to the water. You get beautiful views of the night sky and sunrises. The host had set up cute little packages of bath products, laundry and dishwasher products. There are TVs in every room. We enjoyed our stay here. It can be a bit of a drive to bar harbor, but there are other beautiful views points near lobster cottage like Schoodic Point and Ravens nest.

Beautiful little cottage was the perfect size for the 5 of us. Appreciated the new appliances and mini-split air conditioning units. Water pressure was amazing! And that cozy front porch to watch the lobster boats come and go, well it couldn't be beat. Just a note: maybe make future guests aware that the beds are VERY soft, just so they know. And maybe add a picture of the stairway? Thanks again for a great stay!

The house was very cute and we enjoyed the view from the house. When I had a question about the towels, the response was quick. A suggestion is to have extra towels in an easier place to get to if needed.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was perfect for our needs, check in and check out were effortless! Loved the added touch of some essentials - shampoo and conditioner, a fresh sponge and dish soap! I could look at that view all day - simply gorgeous spot!

My husband and parents enjoyed three wonderful nights at the Lobster Cottage. The house was clean, and equipped with everything you might need! The only thing that was a little stressful was the steep pitch of the staircase. My parents navigated it well, but had to be very careful. The views of the harbor, lighthouse, and lobster boats was the perfect Maine experience. The local area is charming and has several GREAT dining locations. If traveling to the area, I highly recommend the Winter Harbor ferry to Bar Harbor; what a fun and beautiful boat ride. Thank you for sharing your beautiful and charming home with us. We can't WAIT to come back!

Property was extremely clean!! Everything you would need is readily available. About an hour drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia. We were only there a couple days so not entirely sure on proximity of restaurants…..ate in Bar Harbor. Beautiful view right actress the street from the house.

Our family really enjoyed our stay! It was a safe and quiet getaway, with wonderful amenities and a fun theme throughout the cottage. We also loved the close proximity to the Bar Harbor ferry.

The cottage was cute and clean The weather was not our friend but no one to blame but Mother Nature and we don’t want to get her stirred up One day we were able to see through the fog and it was a beautiful view !

This year we found the bell shop down the street and got a lovely bell. They do demonstrations two days a week. We also found a great farm a few miles past the bell shop where we got meat and vegetables. We also had a nice time at a beach nearby. We will be back next year!

I loved this VRBO! The communication throughout the entire stay was amazing. They sent multiple texts prior to check in to make sure we had everything we needed and checkout was a breeze. The best I’ve seen! This house is further outside of town but that’s what I was looking for. I liked that it was away from the crowds. Sitting on the porch watching the boats come in is exactly what I think when I think Maine. The drive to Acadia wasn’t too bad and there’s lots of small towns in between to grab lunch, snacks or groceries. This house felt like a home and was perfect for my family!

We are a traveling family of five (2) 17 year olds and (1) 11 year. This house was prefect for us. Everyone had a bed and we had plenty of room. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The house was clean, no issues. The ferry to bar harbor is about 15/20 minutes away- unfortunately we booked a little too early in the season and the ferry was not running. It did take us about 45 min to drive into the main part of the park but it was an easy drive. I would recommend to family and friends we who are looking for a stay in Maine.

Nice location and quite for relaxing after some long hiking trails in Acadia. The cottage and all the amenities (more than expected) suited this adult family of 3 with plenty of room.

Loved everything about this house. Location was perfect and view was amazing. Right across the road were Lobster boats that you could watch come and go. Quiet area and a great front porch for yr coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening!

This home was full of New England charm. Directly across from the water loaded with lobster and fishing boats. A lighthouse on the other side of the cove. Very private property. Relaxing stay

We stayed 5 days at the Lobster Cottage. It was perfect. The cottage is decorated perfectly with lots of beach/lobster touches. The beds are comfortable and the linens are wonderfully comfortable. The cottage feels private. There is a road between the cottage and harbor but it is quiet and easy to cross. The harbor is fun to watch and can be viewed by the porch and balcony. They did not miss anything you will want or need for your stay in the cottage. It is about 1 hour to Acadia National Park but we enjoyed the ride back and forth and always found things to see and do. The cottage is near the Schoodic Peninsula or the quiet side of Acadia. We loved that area so much as it was beautiful and less people.

All modern conveniences in a charming cottage! The location is great for exploring Acadia National Park at Schoodic. There are good places to eat in the area. Some of our favorites were the Pickled Wrinkle, Lunch on the Wharf, and J.. D. Gerrits. I would definitely stay at the Lobster Cottage again.

This is the quiet side of Acadia, away from the busy side at Bar Harbor. It is an hour to drive over the the Bar Harbor area, but this property is near the Schoodic Peninsula part of Acadia, an area worth exploring with a lot smaller crowds. Sitting on the front porch or on the balcony overlooking the harbor was delightful watching the changing light over the water and boats. The house is comfortable and well appointed. There are signs of its age (such as the kitchen cabinets), but none of that takes away from what a great find it is. The property management is very responsive and helpful.

This is a great house to stay. Communication is fast and we got good tips from the owner in terms of what to see and eat. It’s about 50 min to an hour drive to Bar Harbor. It takes a bit more time than we would have liked but you also avoid the crowd and get to enjoy a quiet and peaceful vacation home . Very quiet small town and the welcome packages definitely made the whole experience even better. Would love to come back in near future.

It’s a nice fishing town that is outside of Bar Harbor. You take a 45 min. ferry ride to Bar Harbor/Arcadia which is a beautiful ride. Wr saw seals, puffin birds, eagles etc.

We enjoyed our time at the lobster cottage and would recommend to anyone. Though it is an older home, it was very clean. Kitchen was functional and had all the dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and misc cooking ingredients we needed. The road out front has some traffic, but it is not disruptive and the neighborhood is quiet at most hours and there is a nice view of the harbor. Wifi and TVs worked well, although we barely used. Enjoyed being minutes from the Schnoodic side of Acadia National Park. It is about a one hour drive to Bar Harbor and most restaurants. The only thing we would recommend is some higher quality/better footing sheets for the beds.
