Very relaxing in a small, quiet Maine harbor town. Perfect for seeing the coastal area around Prospect Harbor, north of the National Park, or truly Down East in the Maine sense.

Our stay at Elsa's Inn was one of the best B&B experiences we've ever had. Wanting to avoid the typical tourist spots, we found this charming little cottage to be the perfect retreat. It sits right across from a beautiful water body, offering breathtaking sunrises in the morning. We stayed for 4 nights at Elsa’s. Gail was a wonderful host for many reasons. The room was plenty big for the two of us with a very comfortable bed and normal sized shower. The morning breakfasts and conversation was great. We were just a few miles away from Schoodic point (Acadia NP). WOW! The night before we left, someone hit our car and it was un drivable. Gail drove to where the accident happened, loaded her car with all of our stuff, then drove my wife 30 miles to the nearest urgent care. She certainly went above and beyond what most people would do. We are very grateful to her helping us in a time of need.

If you are looking for an older quaint inn this is it. It’s run by one lady so things are not always ready on time. We did not stay for breakfast since we needed to leave earlier than it was ready.

Great location for exploring the Schoodic Peninsula. Gail was a gracious host and served a tasty breakfast. The inn is conveniently located near the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park and nice restaurants in Winter Harbor.

The host was awesome and breakfast was amazing. The early morning view of the sunrise over the harbor across the street was a highlight of our trip. The property was in need of some repairs, but I chalked that up to being so early in the travel season and not getting to them just yet.

Gail was an amazing host. It felt like home away from home. She was very generous to make adjustments to the breakfast based on request. The place was well maintained, and upkeep was top notch. I would definitely stay there again.

Cute & quaint B&B overlooking the bay. 2 of us stayed in Dorothy's room and enjoyed our stay very much. Clean, spacious rooms with all the amenities we needed. The hostess is a gem of a person. She was very kind and resourceful. We loved our conversations with her! They offer breakfast in the morning and information on things- to- do around. Acadia National Park and Bar harbor are just an hour's ride away. Parking available in the front yard. Highly recommend for a peaceful holiday by the water with other outdoor activities not too far off!

Elsa's Inn on the Harbor is a lovely, unique, and quaint cottage experience. My sister and I were filled with gratitude for the warm welcome and care that Gail shared with us along with her wonderfully delicious gourmet breakfasts. Her suggestions for our touring of the area were marvelous. Everything was exceptional. It exceeded our expectations. 'Hope to return someday. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Welcoming and comfortable in a lovely location a bit off the beaten track. The Schoodic Park drive well worth a visit as is the Pickled Wrinkle!

Great place to stay. Right on the Harbor. Gale was soooo helpful and gracious. Rooms were pretty, comfortable, and very clean. Easy to find. Great places within driving distance for dining.

Charming

Gail was very nice and made good recommendations of things to do. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed visiting with the other guests. We didn’t know that the drive to Bar Harbor and Mt Desert would take over an hour when we made the reservation.

I was so excited to stay at this inn even though it's almost an hour away from Arcadia National Park as it was stated to be on the harbor. It is but, there is a building/house directly in front of the inn as well as comercial usage. The room is very small. The pictures seem to indicate that there was a window seat in the room and that it was on the ground floor. The signature room is upstairs. There is a view to the left of the harbor. This room did not have a micorwave or mini fridge, or ice. As we were on the "road" I had to throw out perishables. The inn is adorable, the breakfast was great.

Staff was wonderful and Inn was very clean with comfortable rooms.

Property needs updating and cleaning. Not much located close by and the area rolls up around 7PM.

Breakfast was just OK; big issue was non-refundable room payment.

Everything was fantastic!!!! The room was even nicer than the pictures, and we had an absolutely delicious breakfast every morning. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else! It’s a bit farther from Bar Harbor but absolutely worth the drive.
