Gail was the perfect innkeeper at the most delightful B&B along the sea! Just what we were looking for on our quick journey in Maine.

Excellent breakfast and very quiet. Only negative is that it is an hour’s drive from Acadia National Park.

Gail was very gracious and made us feel very welcome. We loved sitting on the porch with a view of the harbor. Our room was light and airy with a beautiful cross breeze. Very comfortable stay.

Loved this B&B. It was just what you picture a B&B in the north of Maine should be like. Cozy rooms with baths Floral wallpaper with overstuffed chairs.yet great cable and Wi-Fi. the big front porch with view of lobster boats in the harbor added ambience. Gail,the proprietor, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast of blueberry pancakes or French toast with fresh whipped cream and strawberries was fabulous! We highly recommend this relaxing place.

Place was very nice. Hotel.com and expedia do not provide accurate location to Bar Harbor Maine. 9 miles across the bay with no bridge and no ferry. It is more like 44 miles and slightly over an hour drive to get to our 6 am drive up Cadillac mtn. Would appreciate hotel.com to provide accurate info on location and not as the crow flies.

Very relaxing in a small, quiet Maine harbor town. Perfect for seeing the coastal area around Prospect Harbor, north of the National Park, or truly Down East in the Maine sense.

Our stay at Elsa's Inn was one of the best B&B experiences we've ever had. Wanting to avoid the typical tourist spots, we found this charming little cottage to be the perfect retreat. It sits right across from a beautiful water body, offering breathtaking sunrises in the morning. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, providing us with great recommendations for local sights and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. We stayed for 4 nights at Elsa’s. Gail was a wonderful host for many reasons. The room was plenty big for the two of us with a very comfortable bed and normal sized shower. The morning breakfasts and conversation was great. We were just a few miles away from Schoodic point (Acadia NP). WOW! The night before we left, someone hit our car and it was un drivable. Gail drove to where the accident happened, loaded her car with all of our stuff, then drove my wife 30 miles to the nearest urgent care. She certainly went above and beyond what most people would do. We are very grateful to her helping us in a time of need.

If you are looking for an older quaint inn this is it. It’s run by one lady so things are not always ready on time. We did not stay for breakfast since we needed to leave earlier than it was ready.

Great location for exploring the Schoodic Peninsula. Gail was a gracious host and served a tasty breakfast. The inn is conveniently located near the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park and nice restaurants in Winter Harbor.

The host was awesome and breakfast was amazing. The early morning view of the sunrise over the harbor across the street was a highlight of our trip. The property was in need of some repairs, but I chalked that up to being so early in the travel season and not getting to them just yet.

Cute & quaint B&B overlooking the bay. 2 of us stayed in Dorothy's room and enjoyed our stay very much. Clean, spacious rooms with all the amenities we needed. The hostess is a gem of a person. She was very kind and resourceful. We loved our conversations with her! They offer breakfast in the morning and information on things- to- do around. Acadia National Park and Bar harbor are just an hour's ride away. Parking available in the front yard. Highly recommend for a peaceful holiday by the water with other outdoor activities not too far off!

Elsa's Inn on the Harbor is a lovely, unique, and quaint cottage experience. My sister and I were filled with gratitude for the warm welcome and care that Gail shared with us along with her wonderfully delicious gourmet breakfasts. Her suggestions for our touring of the area were marvelous. Everything was exceptional. It exceeded our expectations. 'Hope to return someday. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Elsa's is the exact example of an "old farm house" bed and breakfast that everyone looks for. Great, off the beaten path location, serene location and sea view, and a hostess that you just want to sit with and have coffee and home made cookies. Our room was cozy, clean and quiet - great view of the thick forest behind it.

Welcoming and comfortable in a lovely location a bit off the beaten track. The Schoodic Park drive well worth a visit as is the Pickled Wrinkle!

Great place to stay. Right on the Harbor. Gale was soooo helpful and gracious. Rooms were pretty, comfortable, and very clean. Easy to find. Great places within driving distance for dining.
