We had 4 couples stay here. Great location and best pool . We brought our own floatys. At first we were told no maid and then we said what the reviews read and We did get a maid. It wasn't clear on who was all living on the property. It was Andre and his family's as well as another gentleman that we were not aware of so some missunderstanding took place. But we did get that all cleared up.Great restaurant's in walking distance . And management did respond quickly if you had questions.Over all it was great place to stay. We would go back.

I would recommend for a large family gathering. Plenty of room, nice furnishings, small cove maybe a mile wide, sandy bottom. I would think a house of this size would have a maid. We had zero maid service. Not a complaint, but be advised. Communication from the host was a bit sketchy. I thought we would be greeted by someone who spoke English to introduce us to the house. We were met be Andre, the grounds keeper. Finally met the manager when he popped in one day. Maria is the way to go for home cooked meals! We hired her for 4 different nights. Every dish was wonderful. Plenty of leftovers for the next day. The restaurant next door is fabulous as is the one 2 doors down from there. All in all, a very nice trip.

We went the week before Christmas. The house easily accommodates a large group. Plenty of space for everyone. The bedrooms are a large and very nice( The mattresses are very, very firm). The kitchen has all you need to cook and we enjoyed the large dining table so we could have our meals together. The beach is stunning and there are several amazing restaurants close by. There is a high rise hotel right next to the house, that you see and they can see you if you are in the pool. However we had no issues with anyone.( just a note if you have privacy concerns) The hotel next door has a restaurant and had live music a few nights that that we enjoyed. The host was very helpful and arranged a fabulous day trip and well as transfer to and from the airport.

This trip was more than a year in preparation. Our family dream trip. Peter the owner was so attentive and got us in touch with all the right people for arrival and experiences. So responsive and kind. Arrival was stream line and quick 30 min trip to arrival at the beautiful home. So much space for us all. 7 adults and 4 teens lots of space for all never felt crowded or on top of each other. Pool clean and perfect temp! Beach right out front could hear waves as we slept every night and enjoyed boogie boarding during the day. Amazing sun sent and often had whole beach to ourselves. The morning and morning walks/ runs in beach out of sight. Great restaurants walking distance and really terrific local watering joint across road with some great food and very best mojitos. Great small supermarket walking distance down road and cheap cab ride to larger about 20 min drive everything you would Need and want. The cleaning staff were amazing and barely knew they were there were had an incredible catering by Maria her food was out of this world highly recommend and few times through the stay very reasonable and delicious. Brett the coordinator was absolutely amazing great insight into Costa Rica and local resources and attractions. He really took such great care of little details and ensured our stay was amazing and taken care of start to finish. We will definitely be back soon and recommend this home to any family group looking to enjoy Costa Rica in comfort and authenticity.

As described. Beautiful location, close by restaurants and local bars. It was refreshing that there were absolutely no chain stores or restaurants nearby. Macho, Marie, and Andre were great if any thing occurred which needed attention. Seeing the family of Howler Monkeys was exciting. I highly recommend visiting Playa Coco. Sibu Tours was spectacular. Highly recommended. Roberto’s next door had great food. Thank you for a spectacular week.

We had a relaxing and wonderful stay at Villa Daiquiri. The house is beautiful, and the location is perfect. The house manager Macho helped us arrange local tours, and we took the owners recommendations for fishing and diving, which was fantastic. Diego with Sibu Tours was entertaining and informative, and everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. The house itself has so much charm, and we enjoyed watching the sunsets from the balcony, playing on the beach which is just steps from the back door, and relaxing at the pool. Maria made us dinner our first night, which was delicious. You cannot go wrong staying at Villa Daiquiri, and we hope we are fortunate enough to visit again.

This rental is beautiful and the process was nice and easy. Macho was our property contact and while the property was great, he is what made it fantastic! Highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting a seamless and fun time down on the ocean!

Property was perfectly located right on the beach, next door to a small beachfront restaurant and with a large property surrounded by mango trees and with a private pool. We woke up to the family of howler monkeys in the trees, had regular iguana sightings in the yard, and were greeted by the friendly cat on our back patio every morning. The service from the entire team (Macho, Andre, Maria, Maria) was excellent. They were always available and responsive to any request. They picked fresh mangos, set up additional services/activities and were very friendly. Very safe and very good experience all-around!

The home is right on the water. The caretaker lives in a separate on site so it there are any issues, you need only to walk across the yard. The maid, Maria, bought the food for a breakfast and prepared it for us. The only charge was for the groceries. Of course, we left her a nice tip for her work!

We loved the location of the house, right on the beach with restaurants on both sides. Beach was clean as was the area around it. Property manager was great to work with as was the property care taker. Just as a side note: bring your own personal toiletries as they are not included, (shampoo and bar soap). Maria came in daily and tidied up, sweeping floors and taking out trash. We had a great time and would love a return trip.

Our stay at the Villa was seem less the staff was very accommodating would recommend it to anyone!!!

Cosa Rica is an amazing country, made more amazing by our stay at Villa Daiquiri. We ended up choosing this location as our backyard-wedding-meets-destination-wedding, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Accessing the property is very convenient from Liberia airport. It's less than 30 minutes away. I'd still say renting a car is ideal due to the amount of freedom it provides. We were also able to arrange for transporation for several departing guests through Andres, the groundskeeper. Just another example of how accomodating the experience was. Villa Daiquiri and the grounds surrounding it are gorgeous. Most of the original design is preserved with critical updates providing modern amenities like a fantastic AC system and new appliances. Said design is delightfully retro and provides a nostalgic, soulful quality that many modern properties lack. The kitchen has everything you need and there are plenty of towels, just remember to bring your own toiletries and to put your TP in the trash can (common for Latin America). Even at max capacity there's plenty of space for guests to spread out and do their own thing. The place is huge. For our wedding we wanted a low stress, simple, getaway wedding with a guest count of less than twenty close friends and family. Our expectations couldn't have been met more perfectly since we laid out what we wanted, our budget, and they took care of the rest. They were communicative and responsive the entire time. The owners also operate Coconutz bar (also recommended!) in nearby Coco and clearly have a lot of experience in the food and hospitality industry. The catering was excellent, the flowers and decor were just what we wanted, and the wedding behind the property on the edge of the beach was gorgeously scenic. I can't describe just how easy planning our wedding was with Pete and the crew. It was nice to sit back and simply enjoy our stay without stressing out. Everyone in our group has extensive travel experience, and have seen and done amazing things, so for them to tell us it was the most fun they've had at a wedding meant a lot. Even during the trip we were reminded frequently at how much everyone was enjoying themselves and how much they'll remember staying at Villa Daiquiri. We certainly will. Thank you so much! Location, location. We had such an enjoyable stay and only wished it had been longer. No one wanted to leave. Macho and Maria took very good care of us. We played, we relaxed, we ate. You exceeded our expectations. What a wonderful property, just steps away from whatever you could want to do. We loved it!!! Hope to see you again.

The AC didn’t work upstairs for the first 4 days. Master shower upstairs has old/bad shower head. Hot water did not work in 2 of the bathroom sinks. The floors are VERY SLICK. multiple falls while there. We loved the location and the amount of room in the house. It was perfect for our family of 14! Ants were a big problem in the kitchen… must be constant since we found ant killer under the sink. Some areas have been updated, several others are straight out of the 70’s.

Our stay was great - Andres and Maria took great care of us! Would definitely recommend staying here with kids of all ages. To have the beach a few steps away was amazing!!

To start, we had never been to Costa Rica. I found this property while searching VRBO. It was everything the listing described. There is so much to do in the area. We used Diego with Sibu Tours to transport us and line up our activities. He was wonderful! Local resident, Michel, found us on the beach and lined up a fishing trip, jet skis, and even massages on the balcony of the house. It was heaven. The beach is just behind the house. There is activity, but not too much. There is a fabulous walk up restaurant next door and several others as you walk the beach. All of the food was wonderful and great prices. The teens used the golf cart to hit the local markets and other restaurants. The weather was wonderful. Light showers at times, but wonderful temperatures and low humidity. Our group of 11 fit wonderfully in the well equipped house. The pool is perfect. The A/C worked great. The property is gorgeous. We had a wonderful week and can not wait to go back!

Villa Daquiri was perfect for our family's vacation. All of us (4 adults and 5 kids ages 1-14) had a fantastic time. We enjoyed every bit of being steps from the beach, poolside, and surrounded by wildlife! There was plenty of space for all of us to rest and play and we were so well cared for by the team on-site. We would love to go back on our next trip to Playa Hermosa!

House is ideally located - only steps from a wonderful and safe swimming beach with a great restaurant right next door. House is huge so lots of sleeping spaces as well as couches, tv's, etc. and a great pool table that saw lots of action. Our family loves to cook and the kitchen is equipped with everything you might need. Playa Hermosa is a small beach town - so the local store is minimalist. But Macho drove us (for a small fee) to Cocoa Beach that has a huge market that will have everything you need. He also hooked us up with a local friend who took most of the group out fishing and snorkeling for a very reasonable fee. Finally, he had a tour guide come to the house and he arranged to take us all into Tamarindo (about an hour south) which is a surfing mecca and all the kids got private surfing lessons that were superb. Tamarindo is big and bustling with lots of traffic and people and t-shirt shops...reminded us of downtown Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. While it was fun to see it was a huge relief to return to Playa Hermosa and it's quiet. We would joyfully return! Note: no shampoo in showers, so bring your own.

The entire experience from the moment we were picked up from the airport to the day we left was perfect! Diego picked us up and arranged for transportation to see the town. The staff were fantastic. They are: Maria - cook/cleaner Andres - grounds keeper Macho - Maria’s husband, our contact for any questions Diego - owns the driving company Our vacation was included 5 couples. We started our day with coffee on the balcony upstairs. The view of the mango trees, the ocean and beach never disappointed us. We harvested fresh mangos every morning. In the afternoon, the monkeys came to visit and feast. We looked forward to seeing them each afternoon. The grounds are beautifully maintained. by Andres The home is. a perfect venue for a wedding. Maria came to clean every day. She fixed an authentic Costa Rican breakfast for us. She was friendly and answered all of our questions through our broken Spanish and her broken English. Thankful for google translate. Macho was a phone call away to patiently answer our questions. We had two friends who went diving. They were conveniently picked up in front of the house from the beach! We took morning walks on the beach. We also took evening walks and we’re able to see breathtaking sunsets. Roberto’s restaurant is conveniently located right next door. The food there is delicious. We highly recommend. A small convenience store is located just around the corner. We walked every day to pick up snacks and drinks. We walked every where and felt safe doing so. This home is in a perfect location for the perfect vacation!

We were a group of 5 couples just celebrating life. This home was perfect for us. The location is perfect with it being directly on the beach and restaurants in walking distance. Macho, Andres, and Maria were so friendly, kind, and willing to meet all our needs. Would highly recommend!

Villa Daquiri was a great experience for our group of friends and family that do an annual vacation in February to leave the cold winter of Ohio. Pete the owner made communication very easy with himself, the concierge Macho for check-in, and Maria and Andres who helped us with our time at the house. Playa Hermosa is a great location for a laid back beach vacation and the neighborhood and people were so friendly and restaurants had great food! Would definitely recommend for families to stay there who enjoy renting a whole house. Pete also put our group in touch with a great excursion tour company that made our week and transportation so fun and easy!

There was 8 of us. Two adults and six teen/college students. The ride from the airport is much shorter and easier that other locations I have stayed at in Costa Rica. The house support team (Andre, Maria & Macho) are incredible. They are there to answer questions and solve problems. Having Andre on site is really a bonus and Macho serves an air traffic control as he directs you to all the relevant local tour guides. The house is exactly as advertised. It is very spacious with lots of room to spread out. Easily accommodated our party of 8. Handles noise really well. The beach is spectacular and just feet from the back gate. We fished, body surfed, hiked, walked, etc. We did multiple ocean-based excursions, and they would pick us up on the beach in a boat. The pool set up was much better than I expected. I was a little afraid that the tall building next door might invade our privacy but that was not the case at all. In fact, the building provided some welcome shade. There are only a handful of restaurants in Playa Hermosa but they are all good and all a very short walk from the house (one is next door). We cooked a lot and the kitchen was perfect for our needs. The two refrigerators and the huge stove made things easy for us. I understand that crime is not a major issue in Costa Rica, but it is still worth noting that I felt much more secure in this house and, Playa Hermosa in general, than I have in other locations. Easy is the word I would use to describe the location and team. The house and support team just make everything easy for you so you can enjoy your vacation. We will be staying here again. It could not have been a better fit for our group.
