Beautiful home with plenty of room and everything you need. Access to the beach is wonderful and only a short walk away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. 20 of us play golf each year the 3rd week of May. We enjoyed the location, spaciousness and the layout. The heated pool worked out well for relaxing after golf. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. Would definitely stay there again!

Our whole family loved the house and the area. They all went to the beach and swam in the pool and we played tons of board games. Ate lots of good food and just over all had a wonderful time being all together. Ages from 2 to 87. 4 generations. We all loved every minute. Thank you for sharing your home.

We had a great vacation and this house was perfect for our large family. We would definitely stay here again.

Simply Beautiful

The house was laid out as described and looked as it did in the pictures and all started well. The first two days we genuinely had a lot of conversations about making this a yearly vacation for our family. I only have 1500 letters so ill be quick. There were 2 nights during our stay we had pest exterminators out during dinner dragging ladders and equipment through the house to deal with bats. We didn't say anything but why were they scheduled for service during our vacation? Then we found 2 small cockroaches in the bedroom and still didn't say anything. We finally reached out to the host when 4 different rooms found large roaches in their bags and we also found one on the kitchen wall. We were told the home had been treated 3 weeks ago but they were surprised that they were being found. The biggest complaint we have was that we were blamed for the whole thing by saying that the cockroaches came in from outside and so we must have left the doors open and it was basically our fault. We always made sure doors were closed and usually locked up. Host did offer to send out an exterminator (yes, that would have made 3 days or half our stay involving pest control). We attempted to reach a resolution prior to writing review but host basically blamed us and said we were over reacting. The sad thing is we just asked for a small discount on the stay (15%) due to the issues and disruptions and were told there was no reason for our request and did not seem interested in a resolution.

The house is lovely and well kept. It's in a perfect location. I can't say enough about the owner of the home. She was wonderful. She answered immediately any time we called or texted and took care of any issues right away. It was a truly great vacation home

This house was great and was able to accommodate all of our needs. My family ranged in age from 63 to 15 months and we had no issues! Elevator was a great bonus for loading and unloading the vehicles. Pool was great when we didn’t feel like going out in the sand or wanted a late night swim. With as many kids as we had, the pool was a great size for those who were just learning to swim. House was clean and stocked - no need for extra towels, blankets, etc. I also appreciated the information posted on the refrigerator with things to do nearby, owner contact info, check out info, etc. We did have a storm one night during our stay and the whole street lost power for about an hour - to no fault of the owners. When notified of the outage, the owners were very quick to respond via text and reported our power outage and kept me posted when power was projected to be restored by the energy company. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family from Ohio and Florida had an amazing time at this beautiful home. I love that it is named "House of the Rising Son”! Grateful for enough bedrooms/bathrooms to fit our family comfortably. Our favorite was the extra-large dining room table that made mealtime a gathering full of good food and laughs. With the beach being right across the street, we headed there every morning and afternoon after grandkids naps for low tide. The pool was amazing and the large carport allowed us to enjoy corn hole (we brought our own boards) out of the sun and into the evening with lights available. Overall, this home exceeded our expectations, providing comfort, convenience (thank you for the elevator!), and a perfect setting for a family vacation. Highly recommended for a memorable retreat.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The house is awesome; plenty of room to relax, play games and enjoy each other's company. The house is very clean. Everyone slept well in each of the 7 bedrooms. There is easy access to the beach only a half block away. Plenty room to park, can easily park 5 cars if needed. Has an elevator which is very useful in bringing luggage and coolers to the upper floors. The communication with the owner was flawless, letting us know in plenty of time the means to gain access to the property and how to operate the elevator. If we ever get a chance to visit the Myrtle Beach area again, this house will be the first place we hope is available for us to rent once more.

House of the Rising Son was spacious and clean. The location, just across from a beach access, made it the perfect location for our large group.

As our family has dispersed to follow their hearts and careers, it's become increasingly rare for us to all get together. This place was perfect for that--a bed and bath for all the kids and grandkids, steps from the beach, great view of the beach from each of the balconies, large kitchen area, everything just as it looked in the pictures. Our hosts were super helpful. Couldn't recommend with more enthusiasm!

Overall stay was excellent. Next doors property was messy and cluttered with old cars and dilapidated motor home.

My family of 13 absolutely loved this home. The elevator was essential for my 86 year old grandfather, allowing him to fully enjoy himself with the rest of the family. The house is across the street from beach access, and it couldn't be more convenient. I chose this house for the extra large dining table - and the memories with everyone around the same table mean so much. Sherri responded to all my questions so quickly, and was very responsive before and during our stay. Thank you!
