Such a beautiful location. Had the best time with my boys and their friends!

The house was clean and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings sitting and looking at the bay. A great way to unwind!

Room for a family of five to spread out and relax. The views were outstanding but aways away from chincoteague.

Great spot, great local amenities and cozy house and neighborhood. Private dock made it fun for fishing and taking in the views. Right price and good service. Highly recommended if exploring the area.

Stayed at the Purple Door house and took easy day trips to Ocean City, Bethany and Rehoboth beaches, Chincoteague and Wallops Islands and Deal Island, Princess Anne and Pocomoke. Great, safe location!

Great experience.

Problem 1. No previous instructions on how to access keys. 2. Listing for bedding was changed after we booked and had my daughter not cancelled we would not have had room for her. We should have been notified. 3. Problem with upstairs toilet ( did not expect to spend time with a plunger). The best thing about this place was the fantastic view and the prompt response from the property manager. Many improvements are needed - covered deck room is a disaster and the stained carpeting in unit is very ugly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We needed a quiet peaceful place. The view of Chincoteague Bay from a spacious deck and it's sunsets are gorgeous. The indoor stairs are circular so guests with mobility issues will have difficulty entering at the ground level and going to main level. Those circular stairs also lead to a lovely loft living/bath/bedroom area. The other entry is a set of outdoor steps to the deck. From the house, Chincoteague Island is about a 20 minute ride through beautiful countryside that takes you by Wallops Island NASA/Goddard flight center. Their visitors center has interesting information about the area's contribution to sub-orbital and weather research. Asateague is only a bit further where the wild ponies can be viewed. Asateague beach offers fun in the sun on the Atlantic coast. Thanks, Kelly for a lovely vacation.

We had a very nice stay here. The location is beautiful and we had a fun night having dinner and seeing live music at the marina.

The place was as advertised and the property manager was quick to reply/communicate. A good experience!

Captain’s cove is an interesting location geographically. and this house has one of the best locations in captains cove. Great place to have a boat!!! The club house has a nice dinner service. My wife and I enjoyed seafood and a cocktail and my kids liked the pizza and brownie ice-cream sundae. My kids feel in love with this house!

Inaccurate description regarding sleeping and wifi. 35 minutes from Chincoteague and Assoteague Islands. House was nice though. Neighbors are not friendly. They call security on you if you keep an outside light on. Hope you dont mind your vehicle being broken into

Our family of five enjoyed your lovely home. Three family members spent four nights while our son and his wife visited us during the day since they live only one hour from the property. Beautiful property with everything we needed. Gorgeous view during the day from their huge deck. Dolphin swam by and seagulls soared. We fished, crabbed and tied our row boat to their sturdy pier. We enjoyed temps between 70 and 90 degrees, but always had a refreshing breeze from the home. Loved the view at night. You could see the lights on Chincoteague Island. Enjoyed some of the amenities at Captain's Cove marina where we dined, enjoyed karaoke, swam in their beautiful pool and used their boat launch, just 4 minutes away. We had fun at a huge community yard sale and adventured to Chincoteague Island, less than 30 minutes form the home..

Nice little house for a family getaway! Comfy beds, kitchen had everything we needed for meals in. We enjoyed the bay and drove into Chincoteague for the beach and shopping/restaurants. It's a super quiet neighborhood - great for viewing the moon & stars from the deck at night. Thanks for being dog friendly - much appreciated! Just a tip for anyone bringing a dog (or even for humans) - must be able to do stairs!

This location is amazing: you feel like you’re in a boat, you’re that close to the water - especially from the upstairs suite. What a view. We loved this place, and were happy to find a place accepting dogs. It was really great. A few details were lacking: maps and info about the area and check out/ in; a full map; and acknowledgement of which stains & damage were old. We will come back.

This was our 5th trip to the Chincoteague area. House has great views and quiet location, private dock and a plus that our pets could be with us. House was not ready (cleaned) at our check in time which was disappointing after a 7 hr trip. I would suggest you take your own paper products, there are no napkins, paper towels or towels to was dishes. Also there's NO Wifi available.

Impressive bay side views. You can’t be more waterfront than this. And there are multiple vacant lots around the property so it feels very private. The breeze was amazing. If you have the chance to rent here do not hesitate. A tip, bring your own food. The marina restaurant doesn’t provide take-out, The grocery is a 2.0 minute drive so stop prior.

It is beautiful by the water and nice neighbors. The property was clean and description accurate and enjoyed the water and snacks left. Only improvements would be to add some sauce pans but n kitchen. We had to use fry pans to boil and also it would be nice to know the extras like swimming at club house so I would have brought a bathing suit.no instructions about trash so had to ask about that. It was a nice stay though and enjoyed iy

You absolutely cannot beat the view and proximity to water. From the deck, it is no more than 5 feet from the bay. We watched the birds and fish with a view from Chincoteague off in the distance. The neighborhood is quiet and nice and is a scenic 25 minute drive from all that Chincoteague and Assateague has to offer. The house has everything that you need for a great vacation and you can see the view from almost every room inside. The property owner is responsive to emails. I emailed a few times about various things and they always got back to me within minutes. I definitely plan to visit this part of Virginia again and hope to stay in the house with the purple doors!

This house certainly has great views and is next to the bay. Unfortunately, we were there during a windy/stormy night so the house was swaying a bit and making weird noises. We did not find 1 set of towels but Kelly was prompt to bring them on time. For future vacationers - bring your own food, there are not many options around if you don't want to drive half n hour to pick up any kind of food. A good place to relax for sure. I will certainly give it chance for a good weather day in future.

This is a lovely place. Great size for our group. Very clean. Our only issues were that the heat was set super low and so the whole first night the house was still very cold. By mid-morning the following day the heat was better. Also there is no wifi here. The description did not claim there is wifi, but I had wrongly assumed it had it. It is probably something the owners should consider getting. The views here are fantastic. Very peaceful and we saw tons of ducks and other birds, including loons and a river otter came from across the street to swim in the bay for a little while. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this property during the off season and it was amazing. The quiet views of the bay and hearing the gulls soothed our souls. We would definately visit again. Great communication with the owner!

Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood. And being pet friendly was a huge bonus so I was able to bring my puppy along. Next time I am in the area for a weekend I will be staying here if it's available.

We just wanted some stress free time to enjoy time with the kids before they graduate. Very clean and easy to get to. Going to try another trip in the summer. A+++

Was far beyond what I expected. Kelly Miller went out of her way to help this technology challenged senior citizen The only thing that would have made it better was a ramp to be built on the side for us old folks. Steps was challenging. But worth it
