This is a nice, clean house just a short walk to the beach or Bayshore. They have stocked it with just about everything you would want for an outdoor activity from bicycles to kayaks and fishing poles! The pool was very nice and offered another choice for getting wet. Although this is a community, the way it is laid out gives every lot privacy and you will quickly forget you have neighbors! There are a few maintenance items that need to be taken care of but nothing major. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our time at the house.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house had plenty of room for my parents, siblings and our kids. We loved all the big decks with plenty of seating and the convenience of being such a short drive or walk to the beach. Ashley, the host, was super responsive when needed and we’d definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed this place very much. The manager was fast in fixing any problems. The pool was perfect for all of us & the ocean was a close walk. My kids want to come back here next time.

We stayed 7 days exploring,enjoying, the sights and beach around St George island. Beach was beautiful and scenery breathtaking Can hardly wait to return The house was great meeting all expectations Only thing I would change is the tool door locks didn’t work or were missing especially on bathroom’s . We only had a couple minor issues the hostess addressed them very quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, we had a good time spending the week with family. The house is in need of routine cleaning/maintenance. For example, the pool area was dirty with mold in corners and old leaves around. The cleaning crew did a poor job prior to our arrival with dirty sheets being left on the beds. We had to change and wash sheets before going to bed the first night. The silverware was dirty in the drawer. The shower handle in the upstairs bathroom was broken - we reported but they did not fix it during our stay. They did offer compensation for our trouble with the sheets lol. The house and beach is very secluded. We were the only ones on the beach. Overall, we were slightly disappointed mostly in feeling dirty throughout our stay.

We loved our stay at Happy Trails. We had a few minor issues but they were quickly resolved. The property was clean, nice private location and easy drive to the beach access. We also enjoyed the community pool area as the house pool temp was still a bit cold in early May. We definitely want to return.

A nice house that needs a little TLC. We were contacted on day 3 to see how everything was. I mentioned some items that needed attention, one of which was more urgent and was told someone would be out the next day. Someone did come out 3 days later and fixed some more urgent matters. We messaged a couple more times regarding some of the additional issues just to make them aware but didn't need attention while we were there and they had stopped responding. Overall we really enjoyed the location and the house, but some of the issues did hamper our experience a bit, like 2 of the bikes being broken. That was disappointing because we actually reached out weeks prior to see if they were all in good working condition.

The master bedrooms bed was wore out we couldn’t sleep on it. The house was beautiful. There was carpenter ants in the half bath. Overall we had a great time.

The house was as described and perfect for our size group. As other reviews said, not all of the bikes were functioning. We didn’t bring our bikes because it said there were seven bikes. Only three of the bikes were working properly. This didn’t ruin our trip. We rode what bikes we could and enjoyed our bike rides. The house was clean and stocked with what we needed to cook. We enjoyed our time at the house. You can walk to the beach. The pool was not heated and too cold to use. This was not a big deal as we expected this in April. The bugs were bad, and we couldn’t sit outside because of this. Thankfully, there were no bugs at the beach or when riding bikes. The beach was amazing and not crowded. Overall, we loved the house and location and enjoyed our trip!

We loved everything about Happy Trails. We had a party of 7, young adults and a child…also our Bulldog came for the trip. It was super clean and included all the basic needs we could think of. Plenty of space for everyone, and the arcade games were a big hit with everyone on the cooler nights. We enjoyed the area!! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to enjoy St.George Island.

We really enjoyed our stay and there was plenty of room for everyone. This house had everything you'd need and more. Definitely recommend!

Big enough for a whole crew . The privacy’ is nice. Very accommodating. About 1/4-1/2 mile to beach nature path. No real bay access at house but can launch at nicks hole.. house missing a few small amenities ( pot holders,baggies paper plates and cups) needs a few minor fixes. Beautiful porches to drink coffee and grill( propane and charcoal )were great on site. No heat in the pool. Ping pong was our favorite. Only 3 bikes working out of 7. Chains off and flats. Needs a little Maintence but a nice place overall.. the cut is 3.2 miles from house . Club houses are 1 mile one way and 1/2 other.latch on back patio door was a poor design leading to wooden steps and pool . The steps are rough. No elevator. Pet friendly, but my older dog had a tough time had to take her home after 1 night and find her other accommodations .

Second time staying at the property. Love the location back on a quiet dead end road across from a small park.

This was such a fun place to stay! The home was clean upon arrival and there was plenty of room for our group of 13 to spread out. We loved the private feel of the property on this secluded street. We were able to bird watch from the back porch. We made plenty of use of the pool, bikes, corn hole and especially the ping pong tables. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice home

We gathered here for large family anniversary celebration and were overall very impressed and loved staying here. The best feature was the private pool, which we used with our young kids extensively. The rooms and beds were very nice and comfortable. You get a good exercise walking to the beach, but it's very doable. The property is within a gated community and feels very well maintained and protected, with many additional features beyond the rest of St. George Island, like a nice large community pool, hikes, and beach access with fewer people on the beaches (public access is farther up the beach). Highly recommended.

This place was great we loved the location but that is why we picked it. It just could use some TLC. Screens on porch need repaird and the door panel was broken we tried a few times to fix. Couldnt sit out there too long we got eaten up. We would come back next year but already book and the price has already been raised. With the TLC it needs not sure i woyld pay more. The bikes were ok and other items were just ok as well. If you cant do steps dont stay so many and no elevator. It was a lot spically for my older parents. Overall loved the location and we love St George not too many people and the Beach was Amazing. We love the state park we went there everyday. WE enjoy no people and dont really like the fact of walking by peoples homes and parking our beach gear beside them. Thank you for a great stay.

Our family and friends had a great time. It had been about 8 years or so since we stayed on St George and it was as I remembered it. Very nice with a small beach town feel. The house was in a great location with plenty of amenities to keep all age groups having fun. Lastly, Ashley was great to work with and very responsive. So... if you are looking for a great place to relax and have fun, this place should be on your list.

This property was perfect for us. Our group wanted to be on the beach but the budget just wouldn't allow us to do that and have the pool that the teens wanted. This house had it all! It was absolutely perfect for us and we had an amazing week.

We will definitely be back! House was spacious & came so well-equipped for our entire family (includes 6 teenagers). Lovely pool, ping pong, bikes, games were a HIT. We practically had the beach to ourselves. It was a glorious week...Thanks, Ashley D for all your help with details!

Spacious and well appointed home in very nice/ safe gated community.

This was a peaceful great peaceful location, especially during spring break in Florida. Would return to this area again.

Rented the property for a family getaway. The house is beautiful, plenty of seating for us to spread out. Lots of deck space to enjoy the outdoors, small little park area across the street with seating to enjoy the view and nature. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future!

Really enjoyed the privacy of the home. Would of liked the heated pool to work, and there were quite a few lights that were out around the pool and house. All in all I really enjoyed the property and will hopefully be returning I’m the near future!

Check-in was easy and the property was exactly as pictured. Plenty of living space for the 12 of us. The location was great and so very quiet with easy access to bike trails and beach access points. We ate most of our meals there - and the kitchen was adequately stocked. We had a water heater element burn out the first day, and they sent someone out right away to fix it! There were a few things that could have been done a little better. The house, beds and baths were very clean. The screened in area was not cleaned well and the pool was leaking. The no-see-ums were HORRIBLE and we just didn’t get the opportunity to use that space as much as we had hoped. The screen sills were littered with dead carcasses of bugs and bug killer - not the best thing to see when you walk in with young children. Three of the five beds squeaked so loudly and the drive-in patio area is as not swept clean for our arrival. The interior had a few rough spots with missing pictures, chipped dishes, a broken screen door hinge, shower drains that clogged and broken blinds. With the recent sale of the property - this may just be some of the slated touchups during transition. Overall a terrific time on the island. The weather was gorgeous - and once we got settled, Happy Trails was definitely the right place for us.

Peaceful location, easy process.

We absolutely loved our stay at Happy Trails! There were fourteen of us and the home had plenty of room. We loved sitting down by the pool for coffee in the morning and on the deck at night looking at the stars. So private and beautiful. We will definitely stay again!

Great property. Lots of amenities . Wonderful location on a very quiet street. New owners were great to deal with. Only negative was it Could have meet a little cleaner as there was trash around the property from the prior stay.
