Very clean and quite neighborhood. Owner was very helpful and sweet. Perfect location. Easy access to everything! Can’t wait to come back!

The home had everything we needed and was comfortable. Location was good. Would have given 5 stars for cleaning; however, the fridge had a terrible fish smell from previous guests. I believe cleaning staff worked on this because there was strong bleach smell when we first arrived, but fish smell was stronger! This was our only issue in otherwise great stay.

This was our first time renting a house through any rental platform and I’m so glad I did my research! The house was beautiful, clean, and well stocked! The hosts were amazing and kept us informed throughout our entire stay. The property is off of the beach which I enjoyed more to get a break from all of the sand. Monica’s place was cozy and accommodating, I couldn’t her quick replies whenever we reached out. Everyone had just the right space and the kitchen worked well for our group of 7. We loved the downstairs area for grilling and eating after a long day at the beach.

Clean and cozy. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of extras - bikes, beach umbrella, beach chairs, propane grill, etc. Monica is prompt to respond to questions, gives super helpful advice and is so generous! It was fun to have our dog with us. We found the island to be very dog friendly, just as Monica said. Would’ve loved to stay longer!

After narrowing our search to a place on the beach or Island Hideaway which was more centrally located but nestled in the trees, we chose Island Hideaway and we were glad we did. The description of the property was accurate. Each bedroom was comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were clean, and the living room was a great area to sit and relax after a busy day at the beach or exploring the island and surrounding area. Monica was a wonderful host and always quick to to respond to questions. The only slight negative was seeing food items in the refrigerator and pantry, and the fridge was not entirely clean. I would much rather see a clean empty fridge and pantry than leftover condiments, crackers, etc. from previous renters (hence the 4 on cleanliness). Just a little glitch in an otherwise wonderful stay!

An old friend and I met up here for 3 nights. We had the best time. The house had everything we needed and was clean. Both of us kept saying how relaxing it was to stay there. Beautiful leather furniture and a great kitchen with everything you need. The owners were amazing and made us feel so welcome. It’s close to everything. Yes, I would stay there again.

This lovely rental home was the best choice for our stay in Dauphin Island. The photos were true and accurate representation – the home was very clean, tastefully decorated, nicely furnished, and the beds were comfortable. There were ample linens and basic supplies, and even stocked up items such as spices and coffee/filters. The welcome basket was a wonderful treat as well-thank you! The location was perfect, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. The house offered a peaceful respite for us after each day of exploring the Island. And for this avid birder, the birding hot spots were conveniently close by. However, the home itself was also a great place to view migrating birds (tanagers, warblers, vireos, etc). But the best surprise was the personal, “up-close” view of the great blue heron rookery atop the tall pines out the back yard! Several of the nests already had chicks and it was wonderful to have front row seat viewing from the back deck of one of nature’s wonders. Monica was a fantastic host. She answered our questions promptly, and even went beyond when we had to unfortunately cut short our vacation by a day. She made the whole rental process a breeze, from beginning to end, which made our entire vacation experience a very pleasant and memorable one. This was our first trip to Dauphin Island and Monica has been wonderful to work with. We came down with two kids and two dogs and loved the experience. The house was great, very clean, stocked with linens, dishes, and everything we needed for the week. The house is within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, and more. The kids loved that there were bikes available for use so that they could go explore. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to stay on Dauphin Island.

Beatiful and spacious island cottage. Nice central location, short bike ride to all amenities and beach. Had a great time exploring the island and relaxing on the beach.

It wasn't just the property but Monica has to be hands down the easiest and most accommodating property manager ever. We were going to be in town earlier than expected thought we would ask Monica if we could check in sooner. Done. A very well stocked kitchen. The place was very clean and comfortable. Close to everything we needed. Family had a great time

We had such a nice stay here! The Hideaway is in a great, central area…everything we needed/wanted was less than 5 minutes away! The house was clean and comfortable and check in was a breeze. We were so thankful for the little welcome basket, especially the bug bracelet as I had forgotten bug spray! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we return to Dauphin Island!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and nice and provided just enough places for 5 adults and 3 kids to sleep. If you are not needing a place directly on the beach this would be a great location for you as it was right in the center of the island making it a quick drive to the beach at either the east or west ends. We loved all the games in the house and the outside water hose to rinse off the sand was the best!

We had a great stay at this house. Our group was made up of 2 families each with 1-2 kids. We had plenty of space and the kitchen/living room area made for a great gathering area to hang out or cook all together. Our children were delighted to find so many toys and games. We didn’t get to hang out much below the house but thoroughly enjoys the front and back porch areas. We definitely enjoyed our time there.

We had are hole family 7 of us. We had a wonderful time. The house was spot less. Enjoy stay on a quit street . We used the private beach and it was great. Thank you for letting us stay at your property.

The property was close to everything, offered bicycles as well, which the kids really enjoyed! Comfy and clean. Definitely would recommend to anyine!

I received my door code the day of my arrival. When we opened the front door, my first reaction was WOW this is a great place. The neighborhood is very quiet, location is close to the center of the island and super convenient. This was one of my best VRBO experiences. Check-in and out was a breeze. The house is spacious, very well maintained and furnished. When I return to Dauphin Island, I will definitely rent this property again.

I loved staying at this property, it was a beautiful place and the beaches were very close so we never had to drive far. I loved this vacation and would go again
