The house was filthy when we arrived. Towels and sheets were dirty and stained with blood. Floors were filthy. Garbage was overflowing. Housekeeping was drinking and left beer cans all over. Dirty q tips were under the bed, food in the kitchen, wads of hair on the floor, tried to call and it took over 30 hours to get a response. We had to go out and buy cleaning supplies and clean ourselves just to stay. After 2 nights realized there were bed bugs and left. We called at least 4 times to complain and it took more than half our stay to get someone to come. Like I said we left a whole day early. Gross

We were nervous about the rental going in since it had a 1 star review but we found the home very comfortable and a perfect fit for my husband and three teenagers. Since it had a real beach cottage feel we just relaxed and had a great time hanging on the secluded back deck. The layout worked for us with kids upstairs and the master downstairs. Being close to town was super for the teens. We had our three Cavaliers with us and since the yard is fenced in the place was ideal.

House is cozy and charming, with old-world beach-house details like built-in closets and drawers. Large kitchen / living area is nice. Beware description of some things, though, unless they have since been changed since we booked: House has 2 bathrooms, not 2.5 as the listing had said, and the beds are more like full-size, not queen as we expected based on the listing.

It is difficult to have a bad time at Fire Island, so it wasn't terrible. However there was a reason why this house was available last minute, it was not as advertised, and was charging top $ for about half of what it's worth. You DO NOT get the entire house. The left wing of the house as pictured is occupied by a tenant. They have their own half of the deck, and you don't interact with them, but they do have a window and door on your side of deck. The house has 2 full bathrooms and an outdoor shower, not 3 bathrooms as listed (probably corrected by now). There are no bikes, no big knives, and no can openers. Finally, if you try to have a conversation with Vacasa about anything, they will stonewall you.

Hi, unfortunately the house wasn’t very clean, the beds are very uncomfortable, the center fans don’t have a switch to turn them on/off, when we use the dishes they weren’t very clean, r te here was so much trash from a previous stay. The couch it’s so dated and not comfortable
