What a house, what a stay and a great host .. The house exceeded our expectations .. Spacious, well set up and exceptionally clean .. The 2 times I had to contact James he responded quickly and answered all my questions .. If I’m in the Crystal Lake area again I certainly hope this home is available .. Thank you!!

This home was perfect for our large large group! This immaculately clean house, relaxing views, and fast response from the owner all made for a fantastic stay. The house has many spaces to gather with big bright windows, super comfy beds and wonder outside space. A real gem of a home

My stay was very accommodating we had very good communication. He was very helpful with all of the surrounding activities also with any other questions that I sent to him, he was sure to respond with in an appropriate time frame.

Staying at this property (4 adults/ 4 kids) was definitely one of the highlights of our trip for to Elk Mountain. James is the BEST host and was incredibly responsive from the time of booking through us exiting the house. He checked on us prior to arrival to help aide us in checking in and then made sure we had what we needed to feel at home with a wonderful welcome basket. Each bedroom is spacious and large with a comfy bed and has access to a large bathroom (one in master, jack and jill for 3 bedrooms, and an additional ensuite in the first floor). The two large living areas were great for kids and parents to have some separate OR together time! The garage entry into basement with plenty of storage space for ski stuff was much appreciated. The basement equipped with ping pong table, foosball and air hockey was enjoyed by the teenagers. James sent a document with general house info, special features (fire pit/jacuzzi tub) info, area suggestions for all season, dining, shopping to us that showed he really cared that you fully enjoyed all the house and area had to offer. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property - and James as a host and maybe tour guide :)

Our party of 5 had a great weekend. The views of the lake and sunsets were breathtaking. The well-stocked and spacious kitchen was so nice. James was a pleasure to communicate with. There is a restaurant walking distance at the nearby hotel but hours are limited and reservation required. Carbondale is a short drive with restaurants, grocery and other shopping. We hope to go back soon!

First, I have to say that our Host James was very accommodating and responsive; although there was nothing to bother him for other than to express our love for his property. The pictures do this home NO justice! I didn’t want to leave to do anything. I just wanted to relax, reset and enjoy the captivating views. The home is beautifully constructed with no corners cut, but in order to fully enjoy everything the home has to offer you have to stay longer than a weekend. We are so looking forward to coming back and staying RIGHT HERE! James, thank you for everything. We’ve made long lasting memories here and can’t wait to come back and make more!

This is a beautiful property with a lovely lake view location, and a wonderfully obliging host. The house was spacious, spotless and well kept. It was perfect for our family reunion. We're already looking forward to the next one at this location.

5+ couples over the age of 55 stayed for a weekend. The rooms were spacious and the fact that they had beds to accommodate couples was great! The kitchen was fabulous - it was large enough to accommodate several people working in there at once, the appliances were updated and the refrigerator was the largest I've seen in a residential home! There were two sitting rooms so that people could find a comfortable place to relax, and the porches/balconies were such a refreshing place to hang out - the view of the lake was beautiful too! The property owner was great to work with and accommodating. Every time I contacted him, he responded in a timely manner. The communication was stellar. Overall, it was such a fun and relaxing weekend, that we will probably make this an annual event.

This house was great. Huge and open. Multiple rooms to relax, watch TV, or entertain. Everything was very clean. Great views of the Lake from multiple decks. Looking forward to going back in the summer to enjoy the lake and outside area.
