The property was beautiful! It was as pictured! Accommodated my family of 21 from 6 months to 71 years. Has a separate little apartment for those who want or need to get away! One problem was cell phone service. Not good. Owner was very accessible! Great location for Elk Mt. skiers. My family had a great time except for Eagles loss.

This was our second time staying at the property for a ski weekend at Elk. Plenty of space for our group of multiple families with kids ranging from 2-13. The house is clean and well-stocked, the owners are so nice, and the proximity to Elk is great (10-15 min). It’s hard to find spots for larger groups in the area, but I’d definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Laura’s fantastic property! It was a belated celebration with close friends for my husbands 40th. The house was great for cooking for large groups. My husband really enjoyed fishing in the mornings, my kids loved the swing set & spotting deer families on the property. The hot tub & grill were great & we had a lovely weekend with dear friends. The house was very clean & Laura was very responsive. I’d say the house is best for 10-15 people comfortably. The whole area is gorgeous & we enjoyed the drive everywhere we went!

Overall our stay was great. It was the perfect setting for our small wedding/elopement. The property is secluded and gorgeous. The trails down to the creek are easy to access and the perfect getaway spot. There were some things that were less than ideal that I feel should be mentioned for others that may want to book the property. None of these would deter me from renting, but it’s always nice to have the full picture before you arrive. The house was clean as far as linens and clutter. However the general state of the house was dirty. We needed to vacuum floors and wipe counters before we really did anything. Some areas of floors (like in the corners) were visibly dirty with dirt/dust/buildup, spiderwebs everywhere, etc. It was never told to us that polo is played right up against the property. This means that riders on horses are hitting a ball towards the property during the day and evening. We did not mind this but it was unexpected and definitely a shock. The person of contact was a bit unorganized and was difficult to communicate with. Leading up to a weekend away and a wedding, this can be an area of concern.

Even nicer than the pictures make it look. Perfect for multiple families with small children. Stayed on the property all weekend, let the kids roam at the creek and on the swing set, plenty of seating for group meals.

My group had a fantastic time at Laura's place - the house is very comfortable and spacious. Great cooking facilities. The real gem is the property -- the brook in the back and pond were really nice to hang out at, and we even caught some people playing polo on the field. Highly recommend!

Amazing huge house, beautiful area around. Great lawn to do yoga. We saw bunnies and deers. Grateful for this opportunity to detach from NYC and have awesome quiet stay. Oh and the Jacuzzi and grill were awesome.

We had a great time with friends and family for a quick weekend stay- plenty of room for us all there and the grounds were beautiful!

The group enjoyed the location and the home. The location put you in the middle of nature with an amazing natural creek nearby to cool down in the heat! The house set up was perfect for the group and we loved it all. Thank you to the Laura and Peter for making us feel right at home and let us enjoy a very queit and needed weekend in the country

There were tons of little details to show how much Laura cared about our stay. Home was stocked with all paper products, kitchen items, etc. The property and view to the pond was breathtaking. Communication with Laura was extremely easy and quick. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great weekend here! We had three families with plenty of space. The house was clean and well stocked and on a private and beautiful property. The property managers were super nice and accommodating. We loved having the bonus features of ping pong table, hot tub, fire pit, etc…. I would definitely return.

Place was clean and modern with a very fancy high tech shower but it did not work. Owner did try to fix shower but was unsuccessful which made things tough. I wish I would have known to bring more firewood instead of buying more up there. Overall nice place

Everything was great with the house. Very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Kids went exploring on the grounds and had a blast. Slightly longer to Elk Mountain skiing than listed (took us around 15 minutes to get there).

This house suited our needs for a large thanksgiving gathering of three families. The hot tub got a lot of use and the setting was lovely. The owner was very responsive and even brought us extra supplies on thanksgiving day!

What a wonderful retreat. The entrance comes up on you suddenly. It is secluded down a hill. There is a beautiful pond and stream behind the home. Very modern and comfortable. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you Laura & Peter!

This is a very nice place to stay , my family and friends loved it .

Overall the property was great and had number of amenities. But the water for bathroom and kitchen use smelled like sulphur and had a coloration. I think this is due to high mineral content in the area in general. The owner was prompt to send someone to take a look and change the water filter, but we would have appreciated a heads up. Also, the property can use a better cleanin- we saw spider webs and food crumbs on floors and corners. However, the property location was great and it was not too difficult to overlook these cons.

The property was amazing but the lack of communication almost led to total chaos & do not want any future brides to go through the same experience.
