The view of this home is breathtaking. However, the driveway is VERY steep. We drive an F-150 and struggled to get up the steep driveway. Our wheels spun out every time. One day we had some rain and it was extremely challenging to make it up the driveway to the home. The home is a bit older. The upstairs bathroom has mold along the top of the walls- so I would caution anyone with allergies. Also, the home does not include bath mats. The flooring is tile and very slippery, I would advise to bring extra towels so that you can leave some on the floors. If you like to cook, there are pots and pans. There is not bakeware for baking- so bring that yourself. Also, there are not serving dishes- so be prepared to have everyone make their plates at the oven/stove. All of the beds in the home are extremely hard. If you are used to a softer mattress or a foam type mattress you will not sleep well here. Even my 6 year old complained (without anyone discussing the beds). The grill was a great asset. As was the washer and dryer. The hot tub was very nice and has a beautiful view from the bottom level with a sweet waterfall that you can turn on in the side yard. As we were leaving someone came to empty, clean, and refill the hot tub. He let us know he does this after each group that comes through- which was also great.

The house was beautifully decorated and the views were breathtaking. We couldn't have found a better place to stay.

This lovely home was a perfect choice for six ladies getting together for the first time in many many years since they were high school friends! The home was warm and inviting with several open spaces in which to visit. The deck and outdoor seating was ample and the view was just amazing! Several of the girls made a note to remember this gem in the mountains for future adventures with their families Tom was a very attentive host and a highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a mountain retreat.

A beautiful cabin in the woods. Very clean. No one felt like they were on top of each other and every one could do their own thing without disturbing the others peace. Tom and Sue were super sweet and helpful. Will definitely have to stay again.

Amazing! There is nothing lacking in this cabin or with the hosts. They are accommodating, hospitable, and attentive to every need or desire. The drive up to the cabin was only scary the initial time. Once driven you realize it’s easy. Tom reassured us of this. My family and I enjoyed local hikes and shopping, and also enjoyed a lot of time together in the cabin. We played games, baked an apple pie, sat on the covered porch because it rained almost all week, and thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with one another for a solid week. This place offered us so much more than just a A place to sleep. We all received the rest we so desperately needed and the peace and joy of being together. We were able to create lifetime memories and it was an absolutely priceless vacation.

We received email and phone call within hours of booking our stay to see if we had any further questions, as well as asking about any special occasions so they can prepare ahead of time. Then a few days before our visit, another email detailing how to access the property and ensuring we had all the contact information we needed and was followed by another phone call. We were going to be meeting Tom and Sue at the base of the resort and to be taken up to the cabin at check in time. Even when we had quite the experience while driving to NC, Tom called several times to check to see if we needed anything and even offered to go to the store for us while we were waiting for a rental car and a great recommendation for Brickhouse Pizza and Burgers! Even throughout the stay, we were able to contact them any time we had a question. This was our only stay ever with NO issues with the owners/property! This cabin was PERFECT! We had 2 couples with 2 young children each, and 2 sets of grandparents and it could not have been more perfect with a whole separate area on 1st floor, another suite on the 2nd floor and then rooms and bathroom for the grandparents on the top floor. And the dinning room table with space for us all! We enjoyed the weather, as it was perfect and the views from the mountain were stunning. The on demand waterfall was really neat and relaxing in the hot tub each evening was wonderful. We thank Tom and Sue for a perfect weekend gettaway and hopefully we will be able to visit again, for longer next time!

The views from the front deck were breath taking and the house was absolutely magnificent! It was both spacious and cozy! We have been rental hopping all around western NC for several year now and we know we have found our favorite location by far! We are already booking two separate weeks next year for the Heaven on earth home!

Steep driveways

The cabin was nice and clean, the owners were friendly they even had chocolate chip cookies and a birthday cake at the cabin waiting on us. The only complaint is the listing said 7 bedroom but there were only 4 bedrooms the other areas were common areas with a pullout couch. It was inconvenient with couples having to sleep out in the common areas with no privacy.

Tom and Sue are excellent hosts, attentive, responsive, helpful and professional. The cabin was lovely with an exceptional view, comfortable beds and great appliances, cookware and cutlery. We had a wonderful vacation at a PERFECT venue!

The view was breathe taking. There was 14 of us and sleeping accommodations were perfect. Tom was a wonderful landlord. I would recommend anyone to stay at this home. The experience my family and I had was spectacular. LOVED EVERYTHING!!!

Our group of 8 guys spent 4 nights at this mountain house on our annual golf trip to the mountains and had a great time. The accommodations were clean and the kitchen was well stocked with condiments and everything you would need to prepare and serve food which we did every night to avoid eating out with the current COVID situation. For our trip with 8 guys, it can be hard to find a place that has 8 separate beds but this place met our needs (3 of them are pull out sofa sleepers). There is plenty of room and the house is very clean and comfortable. The owners Tom and Sue are as nice and accommodating as any property owners I have ever met. They will personally greet you and tour you through the house on your arrival and were always on call to answer any question you might have. I highly recommend this house for your mountain vacation especially if you have a large group.
