We had a wonderful stay in this home. Jen was a gracious host and was nearby if we needed anything. We spent a few days on short sands, which was easily walkable with two small kids. Drove to long sands (had to download an app for parking, and get there early if you plan to spend the day). The only thing I wish this house had available is laundry, but we knew about it in advance and packed accordingly. The street is quiet and private, and the neighbors were all very friendly. We hope to come back someday!

This is our 3rd time staying at this property with our family! First off, the house is pristine- the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. This is an older home with lots of character but updated amenities. The owners live next door and are very communicative and helpful. The house is 5+ minute walk to Short Sands and town with the most beautiful walk. We are always sad to leave!

The cottage was lovely with everything one could possible need. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors very friendly. The property owners were next door and greeted us warmly and were very helpful throughout our stay. The location was perfect.

This was our second time staying at this location and we absolutely love it. It is everything as advertised, is immaculate, and was very comfortable for 5 adults. We love the location with easy access to town and appreciate Jen’s hospitality. We are already hoping to stay here again for our next family reunion in two years.

This home is beautiful! There was plenty of room, and everything we could need in the kitchen. Reading on the shaded porch or sunning in the backyard- all relaxing! The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but right in the middle of everything! Long Sands to the right, Short Sands to the left, and the Nubble Light at the top! Had a relaxing time!

This was the first time visiting Maine and the surrounding area for most of the family and we had a blast. The house is exactly as is depicted in the description and is perfect for exploring the surrounding area. It is an easy walk to the Nubble Lighthouse and to Short Sands Beach, which we did almost daily. There are shop’s, restaurants and ice cream within walking distance. The area is great for checking out nearby villages, towns and cities like Portland, Portsmouth NH, York, Kittery, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. There are also great places nearby to enjoy nature and bird watching. The owners are friendly and attentive. They are easy to talk to and along with the friendly neighbors, you’ll feel right at home when staying at this property. We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves anymore if we had tried.

Jennifer is a wonderful host. The home was in the perfect location and was exactly as advertised. In fact, I think the home is actually better than the pictures. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a Maine getaway

Perfect location, quiet at night, hot showers, fully stocked kitchen, helpful and friendly hosts. Definitely would come back!!!

The rental house was perfect for our family; including two college aged “kids”. The location and neighborhood was perfect; quiet with delightful neighbors but also close to beaches, beautiful walks and short sands just a short walk away. The property was extremely clean, updated and well maintained. We spent lots of time on the front and side porches in the early am. We had a small hiccup with an early am visit by a technician to service the AC. Not the owners fault and they went above and beyond to apologize, including the prompt delivery of a nice bottle of wine. Clearly these are owners that care that their renters enjoy their time at the cottage. We will be returning!!

Our stay was just wonderful! The house was immaculately cleaned and ready on time. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and for the beach. You could walk to the beach, the Nubble Lighthouse and some amazing lobster and ice cream! Our hosts were so welcoming, and the neighbors on this quiet street were friendly too! I highly recommend this property!

Quintessential New England cottage, pictures don’t quite capture it’s charm. I stayed with my husband and two small children and we enjoyed coming back to this lovely, clean, and well stocked house after a long day at the beach. Great location, friendly neighbors, responsive owners, we will definitely book again!

Great place to stay with kids, tweens, teens, quick walk to short and long sands beach. Lots to do at both locations. Owners and neighbors are gems, friendly and helpful. The house is exactly like the pictures, impeccably clean and comfortable. My teen and tween said they want to come back next year. We had a blast.

While the property is clean and the location is good (for what we wanted to do) the listing should make note that no linens are provided and that there is no washer or drier. Having to bring our own bed linens and personal towels when flying to Maine makes packing more difficult

Very clean and beautifully updated home. Not much closet space but each bedroom had dressers for clothing. Great bathrooms with excellent showers. We will be back!

We could not have been more impressed by this lovely cottage and our communications with Charlene, the property manager. The cottage was pristine--absolutely clean and freshly decorated. The location is on a lovely quiet side street that is a 10-15 minute walk to Short Sands beach. Our party of 3 (2 adults and 1 child) really enjoyed stayed here.

We had a great week! Lots of beach time - house was a quick walk to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed . A washer and dryer would have been helpful.

We had a wonderful week on Sunset Rd. The home was spotless, and so comfortable! We loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen and having morning coffee on the porch before walking to Short Sands Beach. Everything was perfect, thank you to Jen for being such a great hostess!

The cottage was perfect for 5 adults. Very clean and perfect location for town, Nubble and the beach. The updated bathrooms and kitchen were very nice and the beds were comfortable. We look forward to a return visit and highly recommend this fantastic place!!

This York home captures the original historic charm of the house with all the upgrades. We stayed for a week with our 2 year old. I was a bit nervous about the white couches but it all worked out. The gates on the deck are very helpful for a toddler! Location wise, this is a perfect spot to walk to Short Sands, downtown, or Nubble. We met the owner Jen and she was so friendly and accommodating. We would definitely rent again!

Although the weather did not cooperate, rainy most days😥. We were able to enjoy our week with lots of games and food! Loved sitting on the porch. Cottage was just as expected!

As Texans, we did not know what to expect for our first trip to Maine. From the minute we pulled onto the road to the Cottage we felt welcomed — by neighbors who have a family legacy of vacationing in Maine. It’s the perfect spot to walk to the lighthouse, the beaches in York, and to drive a short bit to Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. The cottage was better than the pictures and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our girls loved walking to Short Sands Beach area to experience a slice of Americana. We hope this is the first of many trips to Maine. Thank you!

Wonderful quaint cottage, short walk from all the sights and restaurants. Clean and thoroughly stocked except bring your own towels and bed linen. We enjoyed our weekly's stay, highly recommend this lovely house.

This is a wonderful place to stay in York. The cottage is a short walk to the beach, stores, food and fun!! Everything was clean and nicely remodeled. The open concept worked great for my family. The porch has locking gates which was a huge plus for my son who turned 1 while we were there. The backyard was just big enough to sit and relax with everyone. The neighbors are very friendly and was nice to know we could contact Charlene if we had any questions or concerns! Overall a great vacation and a wonderful cottage. We will be returning for sure!!
