The views from the balcony were absolutely beautiful. Great little place for a couple for a few days.

This charming unit is clean, and thoughtfully equipped including laundry detergent for the washer/dryer, a comfortable bed with additional cozy blankets, lots of wonderful bath towels, board games, and all that you would need to cook in the functional, delightful kitchen. It also has a Cuisenart coffee maker and fully equipped bar minus the libation :-) Finally, it genuinely caters to and cares about pets by providing pet bowls, dog treats and an emergency vet number. Cozy & convenient!

We took a quick winter getaway to freezing Boothbay. This little studio apartment on the second floor was a perfect cozy spot. It is nicely decorated, very rustic style and comfortable. Everything we needed for our stay was available, easy to find and nicely organized. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, in-town place to stay, summer or winter.

Loved everything about this place. Great location very clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say is I’m not a fan of Kcup coffee but other than that we loved it!

The location was perfect for us. It was in the center of everything so we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The place was also nice and clean and just the right size for the two of us. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here again!

such a sweet, great studio apt. We loved it here. It’s perfect for 2 ppl, close to everything. The coffee shop we went to every morning and tried the restaurants. Also, the trolley and boat excursions are so close. My favorite was the deck outside our door. Great for morning harbor and ppl watching. I would recommend the Coal shack 10 times over. Let me add this property is well cared for and it cares for you back.

My sister and I loved this apartment. It was clean and comfortable for the two of us and you just could not beat the view from the deck overlooking the harbor. We did a lot of walking in and around the harbor. The new footbridge across the harbor was a great walk back and forth every day and there were plenty of little shops to visit in this charming location. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved the Coal Shack. The place was spotless and you are steps away from everything! We brought our dog and he loved Boothbay Harbor. They made good use of the space packing in everything you need. Also loved that they use items from the local shops in the Coal Shack. Internet can be spotty at times. Only thing we did not love is all extra fees.

Location couldn’t have been better. The place was clean, well supplied, and absolutely adorable. LOVED the balcony. Our dogs sat out there constantly and watched people walk by. Great view of the harbor. We were right across the street from the best wine/deli in town. Easy morning walk to our favorite breakfast place, Blue Moon.

Conveniently located so that everything you want to do and see is within walking distance. Views from the desk were awesome. Inside the unit, the owners thought of everything. We highly recommend this unit and Boothbay Harbor in general. This was our first trip to Maine and was one of our best vacations to date!

Walking distance to all ferries, shops, and restaurants. Very clean. Smaller than pictures lead you to believe. Still great accommodations with full cooking amenities for a longer stay.

Loved this spot! Very close to restaurants and shopping. Cute little studio was just right for me, my BF, and dog. Loved the front deck overlooking the harbor. Studio was easy to find, very clean, and had just what we needed. Can’t wait to return!

The Coal Shack is a beautiful, roomy studio with everything you need for a weekend (or longer) getaway. The place is spotless and the upgrades throughout were amazing. The location is right in town and walking distance to all the shops and restaurant in town. Looking forward to our next stay!

A stylish, efficient, comfortable little gem of a place. Though it is only a studio, the kitchen rocks. It is just a very comfortable space. It was immaculately clean and well-stocked with everything you need. We only stayed for two days, but even a week would not feel tight. We loved it.

Our only thoughts were that you need better instructions for the TV and appliances! Such a cute and well-appointed place! Perfect!

We had a great time in Boothbay harbor and enjoyed the proximity of all restaurants, stores and shuttle to coastal Maine botanical garden light show. The apartment was perfect for the two of us.

Place was great, dogs enjoyed the outdoor porch they also got to see other dogs passing by,location was perfect, definitely stay again....

This little ‘shack’ was so comfortable, it was so well appointed with everything we needed. The view from the balcony was awesome, and it was great to be literally feet from the main area of town.

First time to Maine. The space was in a perfect location. Everything you would want or need was there. Easy access to the harbor, shops and many restaurants. If we visit the area again, will want to stay at this spot.

This place is perfect for a short stay at the picturesque Boothbay Harbor. Great location, everything is within a walking distance from shops, harbor, restaurants, cruises, nice view from the balcony. Dog friendly place, it was a very nice touch to found a 'welcome' treats and dog-friendly trails suggestions from a Two Salty Dogs shop right across the street; perfectly equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and shower; comfortable bed; very clean and well maintained cozy and creative use of small space place. 4 starts only for the reason that it is a small walk-up 2nd floor studio apartment, not really an entire house (to be fair - no one lives on the first floor). Overall, a cool, cozy, clean and convenient place.

What an amazing location and view of the water and boats. The place is well stocked and everything you need is there. Exceeded our expectations. Our dog felt welcome. If you need a dog walker while you stay there call Sara at 207-522-5138, she took care of my dog while we went on day trips. Referred to me by person on Rover.com.

Very clean and within walking distance to all shops/restaurants in Boothbay Harbor. Very convenient to have a parking spot as well. Would absolutely stay here again!

We are home and my dogs are sad. Coal Shack is a well appointed studio with a wonderful deck. My husband and I sit and play backgammon with cocktails. Our dogs sit and watch everyone go by. Now that we are home they miss the deck. If you want to park your car and walk to everything this is the place.

The Shack was perfect. Amazing location walking distance to pretty much everything in town. Very comfortable, cozy and private.
