This Lopez property is excellent. Off the back deck: beachfront with views to the east of the shipping channel towards Blakely across Swifts Bay. From the front: views west over Shoals Bay to the ferry dock and beautiful sunsets. The host was friendly, helpful and easy to work with. The house is well victualled for guests.

When we arrived, everything was as it should be. The owner was very accommodating when we spoke with him we spent a week on the island and enjoyed it thoroughly.

There is no better place to stay for a week! Our group (4 adults, 2 young kids) stayed for a week in March and had, truly, a perfect week. The home was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views out the front and back, beachside fire pit, hot tub, great location, very private, and spectacular wildlife to view every day from the house. The house was plenty large for our group and very comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully stocked/appointed. The owner was communicative and very responsive. We will definitely be back!

This truly has to be the best waterfront location on Lopez, or most anywhere in the San Juan Islands! During our six-night stay, we reveled in early morning coffee on the deck with gorgeous sunrises and blue herons in Swifts Bay, ferry rides to Friday Harbor for shopping and dining, and quiet nights sipping wine and stargazing from the sparkling clean and well-maintained hot tub. We were a group of older adults, but this home is perfect for families, too, and the host has thoughtfully provided a new pool table, as well as games and puzzles for little ones. Plenty of room, and excellent, ample parking. We had a fabulous time and look forward to coming back!

We loved our stay here. It was so peaceful and just what our family needed to reset and unwind. We saw bald eagles, otters, seals, herons, and deer. Our kids loved the pool table! The owners were very responsive. We would love to come back!

The property was just as represented on the VRBO site: spacious, great views inside and outside, quiet, wildlife-rich beach and bay, and really nice amenities throughout. The owners were extremely responsive to questions. Recommend.

A beautiful home in a wonderful spot! Our family very much enjoyed our stay and appreciated the responsiveness of the owners and the well equipped house. It was great to be right on the water and the views are amazing!

This place is a feast for the senses. The location is as gorgeous as it gets, the low bank beachfront gives you the sights, sounds, and scents of salt water, both to the east and west. The house itself had a few little gotchas: the stove vent fan didn't work, which meant opening windows and doors when cooking to avoid triggering the unreachably high smoke detector. The hot tub randomly stopped heating, meaning you need to periodically reboot the thing (flip the breaker) to keep the water hot. And the cleaning ahead of time missed a few obvious things, like dust bunnies under furniture and half a cup of old coffee in the coffeemaker; the place was nevertheless overall very clean and comfortable.

My mother, 2 adult sibs and I spent 10 great days here. View from the deck and shared areas of the home were wonderful - ferries, boats, sea otters, seals, herons, little birds all provided so much entertainment we didn't do much else. Sunrise sitting in the hot tub was special - moon rises made for a beautiful bookend. Nice beach combing at low tide. Communications were great and all minor items that needed attention were immediately addressed by the very helpful house manager. Very well stocked. Lay out worked well for everyone to have their own space, and common areas worked well for shared time - living room for puzzles and visiting, sun room for games, dining room for meals and open kitchen for shared food prep. We look forward to staying again in the future!

This is a true hidden gem on Lopez Island. Beautiful waterfront home with stunning views. From the well appointed kitchen to the spotless and clean bedrooms, this home was a pleasure to visit. We particularly enjoyed the abundant wildlife that visited the property. We saw seals, mink, kingfishers and numerous other birds daily. A real taste of Northwest island living!

Incredible location, incredible 360 degree views, close to ferry and close to town, yet private, secluded, and quiet, right on the water, wildlife everywhere, beautiful night skies, peace, quiet, every possible amenity, spacious. One of the best properties in the San Juans, hands down.

As the previous reviews have stated, John's house more than delivers, it was an absolute pleasure to rent! The house offers many spaces indoors to soak up the incredible views from both the front and back of the property. It is thoughtfully appointed, well-stocked and warm and snug from the inevitable spring storms. I was particularly smitten by what John's house offered outside, however, nothing was lacking: a lovely deck, fire pit and incredible hot tub, large yard and vast beach. We were able to easily launch our canoe from the beach and bike rides around the island were a breeze from his location. Thanks for sharing, we absolutely hope to return.

We had a wonderful time at the Bronson's. John was great at communication and we felt very well cared for. The house is beautiful, the location stunning, and the host was wonderful to work with. I am a chef and especially appreciated the kitchen, it is so well stocked! This is a lovely place to stay. My friends and I were able to have a much needed break from everything and this was the perfect spot to get away, we hope to come back very soon. Thank you!

The Bronson's place is a beautiful home situated on an incredibly scenic shoreline on Lopez Island. We very much enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for cooking, and there are plenty of spaces to lounge about and read by a warm fireplace! We felt very spoiled spending the evenings around the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. John was very kind and communicative to make sure we had the best stay possible.

This was such a special, unique property. The hot tub is steps from the water and next to a fire pit. Truly so beautiful! Communication with host was top notch. Can't wait to return!

This was our second time staying at the property, and hope to rent again the future. The house is right on a low bank beach with sweeping views. Huge windows in a living space that transitions right to large deck with great seating, a grill and hot tub, it seems like the water and islands are always visible to you. A great launching point for kayaks or bike ride around the island. We especially enjoy the high end kitchen appliances and tools that made our family dinners on deck enjoyable. The property is clean, well stocked and nicely maintained. Both times I stayed there, the communication was great and John (the owner) and Alan (property manager) checked in with us to make sure everything was perfect -- the whole experience was really nice.

We stayed here for a few nights in September. The views are gorgeous, it is peaceful, quite, clean and comfortable. John and Allen were both great! We really enjoyed being able to see the ferry's going by. We would definitely stay here again!

This property is in a great location, conveniently located with great views and a beautiful private beach. The house is very comfortable, clean and full featured, with nice high end appliances and amenities. We cooked our family meals in the kitchen, and but always ate outside on the deck, often followed by a gathering at the fire pit, and the occasional hot tub following a swim or kayak right off the beach. A perfect family vacation experience. A short 4 mile bike ride into town breakfast at the bakery or an afternoon ride to get an ice cream was something our kids looked forward to every day. John was in regular communication to ensure we were prepared for our ferry ride to the island, and called us on Sunday to ensure we were satisfied with the place. Alan, the property manager, was also great showing us how everything worked and offering to come anytime we needed him,. Everything about this rental was great, and we're looking forward to a repeat visit in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Bronson’s on Lopez. The home and setting exceeded our expectations. With three bedrooms plus the Murphy bed in the study, there was plenty of room for our family of 6. We loved watching the harbor seals in the bay every morning and evening, and we enjoyed the hot tub and made s’mores on the fire pit. The kitchen was so large and well equipped, it was a pleasure to cook and eat meals together. I only wish we could have stayed longer! We will stay here again the next time we come to Lopez.

This house is wonderful. The location is close to the ferry and town but serene and quiet. We paddle boarded off the back yard and enjoyed many mornings on the deck. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything a chef would want. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Lopez.

We had a magical week at John's home, and everyone's comment was that it exceeded their expectations! Awesome location, our grandsons built "tidal pools" each day...anxious to check them and see what the tide brought in each day. We had wonderful fires each night, and loved looking at the stars and finding Jupiter! We kayaked and biked. Loved the glass blowing exhibition in the village. Had a great time exploring the island, Shark's reef and Watmough Bay, Iceberg Point - incredible beauty. Enjoyed the Farmer's market in Lopez Village - delicious strawberries, goat cheese! And took the whale watching trip of a lifetime with Maya's out of Friday Harbor! We saw so much wildlife right at the house...bald eagles, otters, seals, mink. Just an incredible place. The home was very comfortable for all. This will be a trip we will always remember fondly. Thank you John for sharing with us!
