The house was very clean, well stocked and large enough for our family of 5 and dog to have plenty of space. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed swimming in the private lake. The owners are very helpful and it was overall a great experience.

We had a great week at this property. Had everything we needed and it was a great location to see all the Smokey Mountain activities! Grandkids loved the pond!

This place was perfect for our family. We had 6 adults 2 children ages 5 and 3 and 2 infants under 2. There were 3 levels which gave each family their own space but also the main level which was great for gathering during the day. Patrick was easy to contact and quick to respond. I would recommend this place for any family gathering.

Parking is a bit of an issue. 1 car is okay 2 is manageable but 3 won't work. The house is very nice, comfortable and clean. Check-in was a bit stressful but it all worked out. I believe the pond has been over fished to the point of there not really being any fish in there which was a bit of a disappointment to some of our party. I would recommend this place to others.

Everything was awesome and quiet! It wasn't too far from everything we wanted to do, we fished, we shopped, we rode some of the good curvy roads. Fishing wasn't all that great because of the full moon. We had a great time overall. Thank you!

My wife and I really enjoyed the stay. We love this home. We enjoyed it even with the rain, the perfect place to spend time. The only thing we had an issue with is that all the beds have really firm mattresses. Really firm let me tell you. Just be prepared for that if you stay.

The home is beautiful and in a good location for the motorcycle riding we intended to do. Extremely peaceful and quiet. Very enjoyable to sit on the deck having coffee while overlooking the pond. Bryson City being only 15 min away has everything we needed for supplies. Gravel road to house has several tight turns and is quite steep which got a bit washed out with the rains during our visit. Not very suited for big motorcycles but we were able to make arrangements to park our bikes next door. Real nice neighbor. Overall a very nice place. Would highly recommend.

Everything was great. It was super peaceful and secluded but also close enough to go tubing and to the lake. It was a relaxing weekend just being able to sit and watch nature. It was perfect..

Everything was as listed in the add. If or when I return to ride Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap I will stay here again. Had everything we needed. Tucked away in the mountain with a private lake that had a dock for fishing or swimming. The grounds were very well maintained. Even the dirt roads were maintained no potholes or ditches. Was a bit challenging getting out 4 door f350 with dual axle 20’ enclosed trailer back to the house but we made it. Hosts were friendly and readily available.

This home was absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed staying here. We loved sitting out back on the porch that looked over the pond! We felt right at home. Hopefully we can come back soon

The house was more than amazing. It has everything you need during your stay. The fire pit added an extra level to our stay. The house is so private. We plan to come back again. Thank you host for their prompt responses. Great stay at an amazing price.

Loved our stay at Mallard Cove, the home was wonderful and the perfect size for our family of 4 teenagers, parents and grandparents. The home had everything we needed and the Christmas decorations were lovely. The fireplace and rocking chairs on the deck were a fav, also the view of the pond and surrounding area was nice. The home was clean except for one issue, the stove had something spilled in the bottom of it, looked like grease, so we were unable to use it. Thankfully, there are two full kitchens so we were able to use the one downstairs. The hosts were very responsive, I had one question during our stay and they were quick to accommodate. I would recommend this home and would stay again!

We reserved this wonderful home away from home recently when traveling to Bryson City for the Polar Express. This is a beautiful property and is more beautiful than reflected in the photos. I would highly recommend this property if you are staying on the area.

This place was very spacious and comfortable for our group of five. Great view of the lake and Mallard ducks from the back deck. Pasqualino’s Italian Restaurant in Bryson City was my favorite place to eat out. Next trip we will take a scenic ride on the Smoky Mountain Railroad. Lots of hikes not too far away, with lots of creeks and waterfalls.

Our large family of 10 including toddlers to grandparents enjoyed the house so much. We planned a weekend to take the kids to the Polr Express train ride and couldn’t have found a better house. Communication from owners was prompt and the house was spotless. If ever back in the area, we will stay again!

This house was very remote with such great views. My family and I wanted to just getaway from everything and the hustle and bustle. This place was so quiet and relaxing. There was plenty of room for everyone to just spread out and enjoy themselves. We had 2 children under 2 and the lower area was perfect for them and their parents! They were able to take care of them without having to worry about bothering anyone else at night! The decks were great to just sit on and enjoy the sunrise in the morning while drinking our coffee. We were able to go over into Gatlinburg in just over an hour, but the scenery over the mountains made the trip seem so much shorter.

My three preteen kids and I stayed here for a week. We had had several tragedies in our family and we just needed to get away for a few days. We had a perfect week! The house was incredibly comfortable, well-stocked, clean, and beautiful. The woods and the view of the pond was magnificent and calming. It rained four out of the seven days we were there but that’s OK because we did a lot of sleeping and a lot of resting. Even the rain was beautiful to watch! The kitchens are stocked well and very clean with new appliances – I think a couple of the small appliances hadn’t even been used yet! It’s obvious the owners care about the property and the comfort of the guests. The bed in the bedroom is very firm, which I don’t always like, but I slept like a baby anyway. The bedrooms stayed very dark and I loved it! The kids also slept wonderfully. My son loved fishing in the pond, even if it was a half mile walk down the trail to get to the dock. (Sometimes he just went down to the grassy edge of the pond which was very close to the house. ) If I had to give a complaint, it was that the Internet/cellular was very spotty and we couldn’t get any local TV or regular channels. We had to rely on the Roku that was supplied, which was still okay. We weren’t there to watch TV, though! They did have a DVD player that worked fine upstairs. We would absolutely, 100% for sure stay here again. The kids are already asking when we can go back! Highly recommend. Thank you Marge!

What a perfect family get away home, with a peaceful wooded setting. We had 3 generations/ 3 families. Each family had its own floor. There was plenty of space to gather as a family of 8, while still having space for quiet as needed. The front, back, and lower porches all good plenty of use. The pond was a great asset for those of us learning to paddle board, and for the children to develop beginning kayaking skills. Great hosts, great home, wonderful get away spot! We loved having main and lower floor living spaces. If you are bringing young children, remember to pack the cups, plates, utensils they'll need. Otherwise, the home had everything you will need. Looking forward to our next stay!

We had 6 adults and a 9 yr old and out lab and had plenty of room. The house was very clean and we'll stocked for all our needs. Loved standing on the porch and watching the fish swim in the pond. Correspondence with the owners was smooth and all questions answered as well as instructions for check in and departure made very clear. Only thing I would change woukd be putting TVs in the bedroom but that's not a deal breaker. LOL. We would stay again

Staying here was a great experience. There was sufficient room for everyone and everyone to have their own space. The environment was great, very peaceful, and just perfect for a getaway.
