Shared this home with another couple during our Redwood adventures. Beds were comfy, kitchen and baths were clean and well stocked. Made for a great place to relax and visit after our daily treks. Be sure to check out the Community Redwood Park, a quick block away - serene and beautiful!

The house was clean and exactly as described. Easy access to the town of Arcata as well as parks to the north and south. Comfortable and easy. We would happily stay here again. Just be careful of the step down into the living room!

It really feels like a home when staying here. I will always book this house because it fits our family, is comfortable, has all the things you need to stay for any length of time. The back deck is fantastic when the weather cooperates. And the neighbors cats are super friendly. Vacasa is super responsive if you need anything or have questions. Love this place!!

Hill Street Retreat was perfect for our three-generation family of six: very clean, comfortable, and with all the amenities we could have asked for. It was a delightful home base for exploring all the wonderful adventures in Humboldt County.

Very clean, comfortable house. We came up for family weekend at Humboldt. This house is a quick walk to the university. Loved the friendly neighborhood cats that visited us.

Comfortable home for our Redwoods home base. Kitchen is well stocked. Cozy family room with fireplace. Beds are very comfortable. Nice deck and grill out back. Quiet location. Would definitely recommend.

Quiet, clean, spacious, private, comfortable beds, and a charming fenced backyard. Walkable to campus and downtown Arcata. We loved our stay and hope to return next year.

This was the best experience we ever had with a VRBO rental. The house was stocked and supplied with everything you could possibly imagine. All the comforts of home were found during our stay. The kitchen had everything available to prepare all meals and even unexpected items like an electric kettle that we used daily to brew tea. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Located conveniently on our daily drive to and from the hospital in Eureka. All communication was handled timely and effectively. So thankful we found the Hill Street house!!!

Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Arcata Plaza, this home is quiet, clean and comfortable. Spacious enough for a couple or larger family. My husband and I both worked remotely and the network was stable and fast. The backyard was lovely, with many flowers and fruits trees. There was a new grill, outdoor dining table and comfortable seating. There is also a new washer and dryer, which made it easy to do laundry. We look forward to staying here again!

This was a great place to land after a very long day of driving from Bend OR. We enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood and found places very close to this location. The only thing I was not pleased with was the down town center area, so I stayed away from there.

The home was perfect for our needs. The location was ideal for visiting both Humboldt and Redwood National parks. The kitchen is very well stocked. Lots of updates and practical items. The homeowner thought of everything! Lovely garden and deck out back, quiet neighborhood setting close to great restaurants in Arcata. Grocery store right down the hill. Extra points for having some sports equipment our son could play with outside. Check in and out was very smooth. Would definitely stay here again!

Magical Weekend
We were in Humboldt to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation. Everyone in my family commented on how wonderful it was to be in your beautiful home, all together. Thank you for the many details, and cleanliness, that made our trip perfect!

Great location; Extremely Well Equipped
Hill Street is a small quiet street within walking distance to Redwood Park, the college and downtown Arcata. As an Arcata native, I knew this would be a safe and ideal location. The house was the most well stocked rental I have ever seen with so many thoughtful little details. It had every kitchen utensil and gadget you could ever need, sports equipment, kids coloring books and games, cozy throw blankets and more. The backyard is fabulous and I'd wished we had been able to spend more time just hanging out at the house. We will definitely rent this place again for future trips.

Great house, great stay
We don’t usually rent a house that doesn’t have any reviews but we took a chance on this one and we’re glad we did. House has been recently updated and is well done. The location was perfect for us to go exploring every day and the back patio and yard were a relaxing place to end the day. We would highly recommend this home!
