We had the best fall getaway with my sister and daughters at Spruce Retreat. Cozy, quaint, quiet location close to beautiful Peninsula State Park. Spruce retreat has everything you need. We had as much fun staying in as we did going out. Highly recommend for a perfect stay!

2nd time staying at this property. Everything was perfect. Love the location and the cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped. And this year's visit was perfectly timed to enjoy fall colors at their peak.

We had a wonderful stay at the Spruce. Like they always do, pictures just don't do Spruce justice. The photos of Spruce are great, but when you walk in the front door, its just better.
Everything is labeled perfectly, nothing was needed for our stay of 4 nights. Colin thought of everything.
Looking forward to when the outside landscaping is completed, it will look amazing. I would suggest a few lounge chairs for the new crushed limestone in the currebtly being-completed backyard landscaping.
Loved the porch and rocking chairs, used then every day. Hoping to be back for another stay yet this year and definitely will be back next summer.

Everything about our stay was great. Our host was very responsive and greeted us both coming and going. His property is gorgeous, as is all of the area around that he is working on. The unit itself is well put together, very clean and extremely comfortable. It had everything we could have asked for.The landscaping all around is amazing. The location is just perfect in the middle of so many fun great places. We definitely would love to return and see all of the changes and results of Collins hard work developing this wonderful property including an actual botanic garden. Cheers till next time.

We loved everything about our stay in the Spruce cabin. The space is beautifully appointed (the pictures don't do it justice) was perfectly clean and comfortable and was the perfect place for our family of 4. We met Colin while we he was landscaping the property - he was extremely kind and clearly takes a lot of pride in his properties.
We had an amazing stay, and can't wait to come back next year!

Came up for a surprise little vacation for my husband. We loved the property! Was in the middle of all the towns. So close to everything! Colin was very helpful and the property was everything we had hoped for. Will certainly come back!

The Spruce Retreat was the perfect spot for a cozy winter vacation! The interior was larger than expected and had a comfortable cabin feel without being too rustic. The location was great as well, as it's very close to restaurants and activities but still isolated enough that we had a family of deer pass through the yard one morning! We can't wait to come back in the warmer months to take advantage of the outdoor space.

The Spruce is one of the loveliest spaces we have ever enjoyed! All of Green Gables is on its way to being a highly sought after get away. The property exceeded our expectations and we set some pretty high standards. Not only was it just as advertised in the VRBO listing but the accommodations went way beyond what we hoped for. The owner checked in on the evening of our arrival to make sure that everything was okay -- nice touch!!

We had an excellent stay at the Spruce retreat! The location was excellent and the property has been beautifully renovated. There is ample room for 2-4 people with a large bathroom, 2 couches, a dining table and kitchen. The Spruce has all amenities you’d expect/need and Colin, the host, provided all needed information prior to our stay. We can’t wait to return!

This is the perfect vacation spot. The owner is kind and gracious, evening checking in with us during our stay. The cabin itself is beautiful and comes with a kitchen complete with cookware! It's in a great location between Sister Bay and Ephraim, making sightseeing a breeze. I recommend everyone stay here or another Green Gables property!

Beautiful inside and out, this was such a comfortable place. We loved the open concept! In addition to a comfy king sized bed there was a sofabed within air mattress! Big bathroom with a terrific walk-in shower!

Wonderful Getaway
We stayed 5 nights at this very comfortable cottage. The cottage is exactly as pictured, with a functional kitchen, comfortable bedding, living room, and patio furniture. We were able to make several of our own meals during our stay without any issues. The location was spot on for us - right in-between Sister Bay and Ephraim. It also afforded us easy access to lesser traveled roads for a couple of nice bike through the peninsula. We would not hesitate to stay again -- thanks much !

Highly recommend for your stay in Door County. A lot of thought and consideration went into this place, and it shows. You will love the vaulted ceiling, open floor plan, fireplace, comfy bed, and spacious bathroom. Unless your looking for a space more secluded in the woods and off-the-beaten path, or desire a fire pit and grill, you will not be disappointed.
