The beds were super comfortable and I love that you get 2 good quality pillows each bed!!

The kitchen was tiny and impossible for more than 2-3 people to be in there at once. The staff were okay but the lady at reception sneakily short changed me because she didn’t have change in USD.

the staff were really friendly and helpfull. when i first had a problem with my room, they really tried everything to solve it. the rooms were also big and always clean. they have enough space and you can unpack your backpack in a wardrobe, which was nice. the kitchen is not that huge, but overall it's alright.

don't go there over the Easter holidays if you prefer it quiet ;) i didn't enjoy the music. they put it an at around 10am and goes until 10 pm. depending on which room you have it can be really annoying.

This place was probably cool one day, but it's not anymore. Staff knows nothing, pool not very attractive and it's somehow all empty. For sale sign sais it all

The room was small but clean and the AC was a godsend. Staff was friendly and let us check in early. There is also parking space available. It's quiet at night and reasonably priced.

Not a lot of restaurants nearby unless you head to town. There is a kitchen though but it was messy due to construction work. The pool wasn't clean either. The door wasn't always easy to open.

nice pool, could do with a good clean. felt safe in the hostel as the door was manned at all times. the staff were fantastic, especially the cleaning staff who helped when we had some difficult roommates.

no lockers provided, I didn’t want to leave my belongings out with a room full of strangers, especially with passports and valuables inside. the bed sheets and walls were covered in stains. signs in the bathroom about washing your hands but there was no soap provided. the shower was Luke warm at best and very bad water pressure. the WiFi was a big issue, very spotty and unreliable. the hostel is a 10 minute walk to the beach and 20-25 minute walk into town. I wouldn’t recommend if wanting to enjoy the nightlife of jaco. the vibe of the hostel was odd. it was very quiet, there is a bar set up but no one to serve drinks, I’m still not sure if this is a family hostel or a party hostel but the two groups felt conflicting. the kitchen was a huge issue, no cutlery, dirty utensils and counters, dirty old sponge for washing up. we had to buy plastic knives and forks and there were maybe 3 of each for the whole hostel.

we thought this was a good hostel for the price we paid. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beach and has a nice pool, so if you’re hot you’ve got plenty of options to cool down.

we were on foot so the walk to town was a bit far, also although the staff was nice they were not knowledgeable on a few of the things we needed to get around. For example: we walked 25 min trying to get a taxi and catch a bus, to then find out the bus stop was an unmarked spot right in front of our hostel.

The room was small and the bathroom not super clean. The bed sheets were not clean.

Location

The hostel is far from the center of Jacó - getting back and forth, you need to take a long road without many houses or people around (15 min), which seemed very dangerous over night (the thing is that there are not many taxis/uber available, so you might wait half hour for one…). I wouldn’t go there again, rather pick Selina in the center!

The sheets had blood stains, holes and hair. We asked that they change them, which they did. The pool (not very clean) was just below our room. They keep it open until 1 am, and it seems that most nights it will be full of loud people singing and screaming. The hot water was actually luke warm.

Everything was nice and clean pool was big and clean room was quite clean and comfortable only wish had small fridge for food but over all beautiful place

The room was dirty (stains in the pillows, sheets) and very noisy, there was noise until 3am because some guys/girls were screaming in the swimming pool and no one told them to stop. Very high price for the quality of the accommodation

the stay was nice, was only one night and they had a lot of spot for pictures, next to the hotel was nice bar, but they closed at midnight.

The kitchen/ bar area could have been cleaned more regularly. Also to improve the experience for travellers, offering privacy curtains around the bunk beds and lockers for belongings would be better. 3
