Masood's Lodge itself is a small village in a wooded forest, just steps from a babbling creek. The cabin was clean, cozy, quiet, and well-furnished with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Mr. Masood couldn't have been more accommodating. We wish we had booked several more days. The price was quite reasonable and the overall vibe was wonderful. We will definitely return for another visit.

Beautiful location, rustic cabin vibe. It was comfortable and relatively private, and dog friendly! There was also a beautiful creek accessible to explore. For the price during the height of summer near Santa Cruz, I'd say it was a fair price for the weekend. Masood was also very nice and responsive, and offered tips on finding affordable places to eat. This was also my first time visiting downtown Boulder Creek, what an adorable sweet, quiet downtown! It was a very peaceful retreat. It's also a peaceful 30 minute drive to downtown Santa Cruz through the redwoods. Overall a wonderful experience and great value for this area.

Outside of cabin good, nice sitting on the porch

Beds in TV area not complete, sheets missing blankets poor. Main bedroom sheets didn't feel like they had been cleaned in awhile. The stream in the back which was recommended by owned smelled like there was a septic leak. The kitchen utensils were lacking. The AC didn't work

A very cost place with a year round water steam. The best part is the host Mr. Masood who is always there ever at 10pm to check you in and to ensure you have all the things you need. I would go again.

A large creek runs through the site that you can hike down to explore. Rooms that are close to this creek can hear running water at night. You come here to experience the woods... If you keep that in mind this place is the best in the area.

Short time that you have warm water in shower... But again... You are in the woods. If you are coming to the Red Wood Basin seeking absolute luxury, then you need to get lost anyway
