Disgusting!!!
I was not allowed by Nomaddicts to like anything whatsoever.
I began receiving texts from Nomaddicts days in advance to send photos of my drivers license to get early processing. I began trying to do this, following the link they provided. I took pictures of the front and back of my license, following the photo requirements they insisted on. When I sent the first (front) photo, all I got was an extended "Processing" image on screen and then an eventual notification, that my photo didn't meet their requirements. I wasn't allowed to proceed any further. Repeated attempts over about a three day period during my trip, using different photos, in case there had been something wrong with the first one I sent and wasn't aware, all resulted in exactly the same processing and rejection results. The day I was due to check in, I tried twice again from Minden, Ontario on my way to The Artistry in Bancroft. Rejection again. When I got to Bancroft, I made one last try, having already made a long day of it on the motorcycle to get there from Sudbury. My photo was again rejected. So I wasn't able to gain access to the door code and gain access to the site. I had to make a decision at that point. Try to find somewhere else to stay or continue on home. There were very few open listings on the Booking.com site for Bancroft days before, when I booked. So I made the decision to carry on to home and added another full five hours of riding to my day. I got home two nights ago and I'm still not recovered from that very extended day's ride. I am completely disgusted with the entire experience and don't want to be charged, for what I intended in good faith to be my stay at The Artistry.

Happy Times
The location was absolutely stunning! The cleanliness was above and beyond!!!... And that there was free Wifi Laundry on site, and we could watch anything on TV Oh did I mention that it was absolutely stunning! We will be staying with you again! We can't thank you enough for such a pleasant stay!!!...
That we had to leave and couldn't stay longer!

Unterkunft top, Service mit deutlichem Steigerungsbedarf
Das Apartment liegt im unteren Stockwerk und ist über einen eigenen Eingang. Von der Flussseite aus zugänglich. Von der Terrasse hat man einen schönen Blick, Richtung Wasser und grünanlage. Fußläufig befindet sich ein Spielplatz und die innenstadt ist auch nicht weit entfernt. Das moderne Apartment ist aufgeteilt in drei Räume: Schlafzimmer, Bad und ein grosser Raum als Wohn- und Esszimmer mit Küche. Hier liegt auch der Eingang und es gibt noch eine kleine Abstellkammer für Reinigungsutensilien und Schuhe mit Garderobe. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Die Räume sind gross, geschmackvoll angerichtet und gemütlich. Bei der Reinigung gibt es noch ein wenig verbesserungsbedarf, gerade, wenn man bedenkt, dass Kinder auch gerne mal in den Ecken oder unter den Möbeln spielen oder ihr Spielzeug dort suchen...Insgesamt hier 8 von 10 Punkten. WLAN funktionierte ohne Probleme.
Die Adresse führte uns zum oberen Apartment, wo man neben einer Treppe zum unteren Apartment gelangt. Allerdings gibt es auch eine Zufahrt von der anderen Seite. Es ist schwierig zu finden, aber gerade wenn man mit viel Gepäck reist doch viel einfacher als alles die holztreppe herunter zu schleppen. Gerade wenn es regnet und diese nass ist. Ein einfacher Lageplan würde schon reichen. Wir hatten für vier Personen gebucht, das Schlafsofa war noch nicht vorbereitet. Und wir mussten es selbst beziehen. Die Decke haben wir halbnass im Trockner gefunden. No Go. Der Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert und auf unsere Anfrage per Mail haben wir einen Link erhalten wie man die Neuinstallation durchführt. Sorry, aber das geht gar nich!!! Ich habe schon zu Hause keine Lust Geräte zu installieren und schon gar nicht in meinem Urlaub. Hier muss vor Vermietung ein Check erfolgen, ob das Gerät funktioniert. Denn scheinbar weiss man von den Problemen weil die Installationsanleitung online ist. Im Zweifel muss halt der Vermieter vorbeikommen und das für seine Kunden erledigen. Man muss sich in bei Normadic Vacation registrieren und darüber alles abwickeln. Das war uns nicht klar und sollte deutlicher kommuniziert werden. Wir buchen über ein Portal wie booking.com gerade um nicht nochmal alles eingeben und bestätigen zu müssen. Man erhält dann unzählige (automatisierte) E-Mails teilweise mit Hinweisen wie "bitte bezahlen sie, aber, wenn sie bezahlt haben, betrachten sie die E-Mail als gegenstandslos". Sinnlose Kommunikation. Natürlich möchte auch jeder Vermieter mit möglichst wenig Aufwand sein Geld verdienen, hier ist es dermaßen minimalistisch, dass eigentlich kein Service vorhanden ist. Wir haben kein Problem mit Self Check-in usw., aber wenn niemand vor Ort ist, muss sichergestellt sein, dass die Unterkunft tipptopp ist und alles funktioniert. Das war hier nicht der Fall. Daher für den Service max. 2 von 10 Punkten.

Nice place. Okay value.
Good location. Amazing customer service and support. Lots of parking. Plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Comfortable bedroom bed. Very clean.
Very old sofa bed (uncomfortable) that caused back pain when waking up. No thermostat controls so temperature is dependant on upstairs guests. Weak WiFi that kept disconnecting. Thin ceiling so noisy upstairs guests can be heard stomping around.

Don't book this place.
We actually never stayed at this place because we had to cancel due to the fact that the owner wanted to charge $150 per pet to stay there. I booked the place for $112! I couldn't find a fee for the pet (listing says there will be a fee but no actual dollar figure) and I couldn't find a way to contact the owner of the property to ask. So I booked thinking it would be $50 for the pet. I am a Superhost with Airbnb and would never charge a night's stay for a dog. I asked for a refund and the owner didn't respond, so I contaced Booking.com and they said I would receive a full refund and I didn't. The whole booking was around $200 and I got $86 back. The owner of the property charged me for a "no-show" which is ridiculous given I asked for a refund the day before (I booked the day before arrival date) and they never got back to me. So not only did they want a crazy amount for a pet to stay there, but then they are non-communicative and charged me a "no-show"??? These people are not in the service industry and don't know how to be good hosts that can make acceptions as normal human beings would. Money grabbers, not good people.
