Stairs to get up to the hotel level can be difficult especially for me as I am 6 months pregnant.

Lovely guesthouse with rooms above a popular bar and restaurant. We hadn’t pre-booked dinner at the restaurant but the staff were very helpful in finding space for us that evening. A pleasing one night stop for my British in-laws who were there to survey the Home and Away coastline. Continental breakfast included some divine banana bread and Muesli so tasty I bought three jars for family gifts.

No complaints on the property. Paying premium price for the Palm Beach location though.

Fabulous location opposite Pittwater, beautiful boutique style accommodation with gorgeous furnishings, private guest lounge & covered patio area, and lovely concierges who attended to our every need. Warm and friendly staff often going above and beyond to deliver, and the menu & food are simply outstanding. We were lucky enough to dine on the sumptuous NYE dinner and then retire to our room post celebrations - now that's being spoilt! The room some would consider small, was to us a lovely space with a view to Pittwater ( lovely to hear the waves on the beach during the night), well appointed, comfortable and continued the boutique feel. The layers & layers of considered styling detail all added to a wonderful experience. We'd be back in a heart beat!

Firsty, the location is very inconvenient. We chose this hotel due to the fact it was closer to the venue but we would have been better staying somewhere like the Metro Mirage, where taxis and ubers actually go. We got told by reception that taxis do not drive this far out... so if you are relying on taxi or uber to get from this hotel to anywhere it will be almost near impossible. I also tried uber and the app said one would not be available until 6pm (2 hours later on a Sunday). Lucky my dad got his taxi to come get us (which picked him up from the Metro Mirage) and this is the only way we got to the venue. Upon booking it states A la carte breakfast is on offer...what we got was a small jar of muesli and some milk. Very misleading! Definitely bring snacks. The restaurant does not open until 11am, after check out. They do not serve any breakfast food, only a small menu of mostly seafood (not what I particuarly want for breakfast). We sat down because we were very hungry by this point and just wanted a coffee and something to eat. My husbands steak was rare, not what he ordered and the calamari was not tasty. The coffees took 20 min to come out and we only got 1 out of 2 ordered, had to wait another 10 min to get the coffee we ordered. The service was very slow. When I went to pay, the waitress put the eftpos machine down and said "type in how much you wish to tip" how presumptuous! Considering two small meals and two coffees took 1 hour to arrive and they were not even busy! The room was stuffy and very small for the price, if you choose a bigger room it definitely still isn't worth the price as this hotel does not have much to offer! I heard better things about the Metro Mirage in Newport. They have food close by open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, taxis go there and they have more fascilities. The other wedding guests stayed there and I wish we did too!
