We had 6 couples stay at this wonderful property for 4 days in Tuscany. The property was about 30 mins outside Florence so we spent 2 days in Florence and 2 days touring wine country in Tuscany. The villa was very nice and Paolo helped us organize a chef for multiple breakfasts and 2 dinners. Paolo also helped us organize transfers to and from Florence multiple days and transfers for 2 tours in Tuscany. The chef Thomas was a highlight of our stay. His food was fantastic. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone with a large group.

Excellent communication from our initial booking to leaving the villa. The villa is beautiful with outstanding views across the Tuscan countryside. It is however, very remote - about 1km from the main road down a very bumpy track, Ideal for total relaxation but you will need a car or use the driver (Fabrizio who was fabulous) to visit supermarkets, restaurants, wine tasting or to explore the centre of Florence. We booked Laura the chef to cook for us a couple of evenings which was excellent and such a treat. Great local dishes and cooking lessons available on request. Although we were unable to use the pool due to cold weather, it was great to sit outside for lunch or a glass of two of wine. The villa is very well equipped and offers enough space for a family or large group to spread out and come together to enjoy meals. The pool table was a big hit with all from ages 19 - 82. The stone stairs are fairly steep but there is a downstairs bedroom for anyone with mobility issues. I will add the beds are extremely comfortable. Overall a wonderful villa with caring hosts. We would definitely like to stay again.

This was a wonderful experience! The property manager was a delight to work with. It was easy to communicate with him! We used Thomas, the chef and he was fabulous! He was always eager to please. The property was located about 45 minutes from Florence.

The listing and the photos looked great - and when we arrived it was EVEN better than we imagined. This is a beautiful property and Paolo is a wonderful and hospitable host. The whole process was easy and friendly and responsive and our stay was absolutely perfect. Thank you!

Had a fantastic stay here. The villa is very large (in fact, got lost a couple of times), and is very closely located to Florence with a beautiful view of Tuscany. Also, the management team was very helpful, assisting with arranging a chef and staff for a 50th birthday. An all out memorable stay.

Had a lovely time with family and friends for a stay in the middle of a heatwave and this villa was the most perfect stay to escape from it all. Will stay again. Paolo and Co are top tier.

Our recent stay (July 2022) at Villa Il Forte provided our family with a vacation that far exceeded our dreams in every aspect. With eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, every member of our family group of 12 found ample comfort and privacy. The many common areas - sitting, living, and dining rooms - afforded us lovely spaces to come together for conversation and dining. The outdoor dining patio and the swimming pool became favorite gathering areas for our three generations, who ranged in age from 17 to 72. InTuscany Property Manager Paolo Lazzari provided us with excellent guidance and contacts during the two years that led up to our July 2022 stay at Villa Il Forte. (Covid-19 resulted in our having to postpone our stay at Villa Il Forte from 2020 to 2021 to 2022.) House Manager Giulia was incredibly generous with her time and her attention to our needs. The three chefs that Paolo put us into contact with provided us with four of the most delicious and memorable meals we've ever had. The same is true for the drivers who ferried us to and from the airport, train station, and into Florence. The cleaning crew also did an excellent and unobtrusive job. And, the Villa itself is even more beautiful and capacious than the photographs depict. I heartily recommend the Villa Il Forte!

We had a great stay at this property and I will recommend to other family and friends. Only had minor electrical issue in the kitchen but it was quickly resolved by the property manager. I would like to return with my family in the future.

Our group of 9 had a family reunion at the villa in September 2021. We had a wonderful stay - the rooms and amenities were as described. The InTuscany manager (Paolo) and the property manager (Giulia) were extremely responsive and helpful with our many queries and setting up excursions, transportation, etc. We had a chef (Thomas) make breakfast each morning and three dinners - all meals were wonderful and we were all felt very spoiled with this. We also had a cooking class with Thomas and Maria Angelina, it was most fun and we had a great time cooking and laughing. Housekeeping was also great, always ensured that the rooms were clean and towels, amenities etc. were replenished. Though the weather in mid-September was hot during the day and cool at night, keep in mind that the pool is not heated and can be quite cold at this time of year! This was an experience we will remember forever!

Traveling with a group of friends, we finished our vacation with three nights at this property. The property was beautiful and Paolo was great to work with, helping us coordinate activities, transfers and meals. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

11 of us shared this amazing villa for 9 days in August 2021. The building dates back to 14th century and has been restored in the last 10 years or so to an impeccable standard, all in stone. It feels like you are living in a castle. All rooms and living space are huge .. and finished to 5 star standards.. really quite amazing. All the people to help us were amazing from Guilia the housekeeper and general help on all details from Covid tests to restaurants and wine tasting venues, Thomas and Milla who prepared incredible meals for our group and kept us entertained with great humor, and Poalo who managed all bookings and travel details. We had quite a memorable time and used all the villa had to offer.. dining, fresco dinners, pool, spa and gym, pool table, card room.. separate annex.. all fabulous .. highly recommended.!!!

The property is magnificent and the views over the hillside just gorgeous. Cannot say enough about the Property Manager - Giulia!! She is always available and helpful. We had a few glitches and she responded immediately and took care of everything. The kitchen is amazing - we prepared our own meals and ate outside under the stars almost every night. We were a family of 15 - 4 generations - from 90 to 7. Plenty of room for everyone. Train to Florence just a few minutes away. My grandkids had plenty of room to roam around the olive groves growing on the property. Great place for families.

Our family and friends of 12 simply loved Villa il Forte!!! Everything was picture perfect when we arrived and throughout our stay. Both the landscape and villa are gorgeous. The staff and Giulia's attentiveness to our needs was spectacular. We can't wait to come back in 2019 to spend our holiday at Villa il Forte. Thank you for the wonderful and memorable time!!!!

Everything about our stay at the villa was amazing. We were a big group with kids but there was plenty room, food and wine. Located about 30minutes from Florence, an hour from San Gimignano and less than two hours from Pisa. The setting for the villa on a hill top in San Donato, especially the view from the pool, was perfect. The options the villa offers just for eating ranged from outside, relaxed near the kitchen to formal sit down. The staff from the kitchen to the cleaning crew were terrific; friendly and informative.

We searched through approximately 40 houses before deciding on Villa Il Forte and we are so glad we did. We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday at Villa Il Forte with four families including 10 children (all under 9 years old) for one week in early July. Everyone was very happy with the accommodations and we all had plenty of room. Every bedroom is lovely and includes a private bathroom (even better than the photos). The pool is gorgeous and suited our big group perfectly. The dining room can seat more than 20 people and the beautiful outdoor terrace can seat about 16. The kitchen is modern and convenient to the terrace for outdoor dining. Additional space includes a billiards room, quiet room with round table that could be used for those who need to work remotely or big card games, sitting room with TV, den with TV, and breakfast room off the kitchen that seats 10+. One of the families in our group with four young children (including a baby) were very comfortable in the annex on the property which is also beautiful and spacious (the managers were very accommodating in bringing in a cot and crib to the annex). The villa's proximity to Firenze is perfect, allowing short visits to the city as well as easy exploration of Toscana's gorgeous countryside. We all traveled into Firenze multiple times, we did short trips to areas like San Gimignano and Fiesole, and we did a full day of wine touring in Montalcino and Montepulciano. The villa's location is absolutely perfect for a group that wants to see and do a lot. It is also ideal for relaxing days by the pool, enjoying a long lunch on the terrace and afternoon siesta. We dream of returning to Villa Il Forte one day soon!

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Il Forte! We stayed here for a week at the end of July with 13 people and had the best time. The villa is incredibly spacious with lots of room to spread out and relax. The house is perfect for a group traveling together because there is enough room for private space, but also lots of great rooms for the group to hang out and relax. The pool area is gorgeous (pictures don't do it justice). The kitchen and dining room areas (both an indoor and out door dining room) made for perfect places eat a number of memorable meals. We didn't want to leave!
