This hotel is in downtown Halifax near restaurants and shops. It was very clean. It is considered an airport hotel but be sure to allow enough time as it is at least 30 minutes from airport. We did enjoy breakfast at the hotel. They do have a parking garage which worked out well.

Our room was spacious, clean & comfortable. A wide variety of choices for breakfast.

It was great other than a rattling air conditioner. We fixed it by turning it off and reporting it the next morning. I wish “parking available” showed that a fee was requested to the tune of $25 plus taxes.

Location. The hotel was very hard to find even with GPS directions. Parking was slightly inconvenient.

Honestly the hotel is pretty good, however the service was not good. For whatever reason our room was not made up 2 days in a row. The first day we requested towels and had to wait 2 hours to get them-this is an issue when you are waiting to have a shower. The second day upon return from our day, we called down to get our room cleaned, then we had to leave to do this which wasn’t great at the end of a tiring day. The breakfast is exceptional and better than most complimentary hotel breakfasts.

The stay was fine. There was an issue with the door lock not working upon our return from breakfast. If we had a tour to catch it would have been missed. Maintenance staff was great and was able to finally open the door.

charged more than Hotels.com quoted us and had no proof of the quote. Also in second morning my husband saw a mouse come out if the kitchen. area. The sighting if the mouse was also confirmed by an employee with my husband. We did not eat breakfast there after that. stay was for 3 nights .

Very strange experience when checking in. Said my credit cards weren’t working and asked for $200 on debit card. When i said no, then credit card worked. Been thinking about that. Seems very odd.

Others' feedback on the hotel's cleanliness was a major factor to go with the place for me, which is why I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of: 1) one pillow, which had a blood stain the size of a loonie that was visible through the pillow case (I gave it to the housekeeping staff member who happened to be cleaning nearby); 2) mattress cover, which had several stains in the upper-left side; 3) bench in front of the bed, which had dirt; 4) both blinds, which had wine/beverage stains. I reported the first three aspects to Samm, who had checked in with me via text app. an hour after I got my room but there was neither a reply nor corrective action. Less seriously, the toilet seat was cracked on the right side and needs to be replaced and the sink's faucet loose and requires tightening. After my trip, I looked up recent reviews by other travellers, several of whom have also observed similar mess in their respective room. Based on my 5-night stay, the breakfasts varied daily, which was very good.

It was ok, clean rooms , friendly staff, the breakfast was good, no complaints other than price, I find accommodations very expensive in Halifax and then you have to pay $25 plus tax each night for parking on top.of the high fees.

We didn’t mind the location of the hotel and appreciated the view overlooking Citadel Hill but taking the time to explain the parking would have been appreciated upon check in. New mattress was definitely needed in this room! Also new iron was needed. A hotel of this size needed more than two elevators!

EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. NICE ROOM, CLEANLINESS, NICE STAFF, GOOD BREAKFAST, EXCEPT PARKING. VERY LIMITED FREE PARKING STALL. CUSTOMERS ARE ASKED EITHER USE PAID PARKING ON THE STREET OR USE $ 25 PER NIGHT PAID PARKING BY HOTEL. STAYED THERE FOR 5 NIGHTS AND HAS TO PAY $ 143 EXTRA INCLUDING TAXES. IF THIS IS THE CASE, HOTEL NEED TO ADVERTISE THIS FACT BEFORE ANYONE CAN BOOK THIS PARTICLUAR LOCATION HOTEL

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Everything was perfect. The hot buffet breakfast that was included was appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.

The worst experience : - elevators are painfully slow. It is common to wait 3-5 minutes before one of the two elevators get to your floor and because they are so slow, it is always packed. - Pool is very cold and damaged. - Would not cater to special dietary needs. - Only cleans the room when you complain. - Parking is expensive. After complaining of all the issues, they would only offer a snack as a compensation. Even desperate, I will not return.

The room was great. Roomy and a comfortable bed. Staff was able to bring us more firm pillows when we asked which was great. Breakfast was good (what you expect from Hampton Inns, and the food was hot a filled up quickly. The only thing is that it was very busy and rarely enough room so we usually would bring our food back to the room. Loved that coffee and tea was always available down in the lobby. Gym was nice and the pool was OK but pretty cold, but good for a quick dip. The location was great. Not too busy but close enough to walk to the main attraction. Usually between a 10-15 walk (or five to the citadel.) it’s at the top of the hill so coming back will definitly work out your legs and butt, but it’s just working off all the good food you will probably eat in Halifax.

Check in was quick and easy. The room was lovely. Kuldeep at the front desk checked in with me to see that the room was OK and again later to make sure everything was going well! Very impressive!

Parking not easy. Customers needed to pay CAD25 tax per night to park their cars in a garage in a residential building near the hotel. Walking from the parking lot to the hotel took about 5 minutes. Also, the walk included crossing a private 2 ways driveway.

Excellent location, walking distance to downtown activities. Police station is behind the hotel, so safe. Also behind the hotel is Halifax Defence Citadel, which is very nice. Prepare yourself for walking uphill!!

Staff was super every where in the hotel ! For someone like me it is walkable & I like that. Room was clean, quiet ! This is a place I would go back to !
