Right in front of the train station. I arrived very late - 1:30am! The front desk was very helpful, reassuring when I called worried that they will let go of my room. Easy check in, clean and simple room. An excellent location, 30 seconds from the station!

Was a little hassle to park in front and unload luggage from the car- but that not the hotel fault. We should've come by train.

The location of the hotel is excellent, next to a metro and the railway station. The room was spacious, and some rooms had a wonderful view of the lake.
Instead of a carpeted floor, I would prefer parquet, and a bidet shower instead of a bidet tub.

Right by metro and train station. With the transit pass made it very easy to get around with the metro next door. Good choices for breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Only complaint was it was hot and air conditioner wasn’t working properly

So close to both the metro and the train station. Exploring the area is so easy. The staff are really helpful and give excellent advise. A little bit of street noise at night. Had a great stay in Lausanne.

It was wonderful! Room was spacious with wall of windows and balcony overlooking the train station and the lake. Great location convenient to everything and the botanic garden is close by.

Perfect convenient location opposite train station and lovely staff member who checked us in- he found a room for us even though we arrived very early morning and expected we would have to just leave our luggage until check in time. Room was clean, quiet & restful and beds comfortable Air conditioning struggled and wasn’t really adequate for the room but it was a very hot couple of days. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Stayed for a work conference. Super location opposite train station near to cafes and food shops. A short walk down hill to lake with many bars and restaurants. Reception gave warm welcome with a 2 day free travel pass for the local metro system.

8/3-6,2024. Pro: location, cleanness, space, A/C, Friendly. Con: N/A. Great location, right across from the main train station, many restaurants nearby. The orange sign on the building was easy to find the hotel. Room and bathroom were clean and larger than average in Europe. A/C was a nice addition. USB outlets were great (but always carry a voltage converter/adapter when traveling to Europe for convenience since many hotels don’t have USB outlets). Staff were helpful and friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Continental.

We were delayed due to the Microsoft debacle, the staff were amazing when we called to advise of our delay. They also recommend sights and restaurants to visit. Close to the train and metro. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Stayed for three nights in July, Excellent hotel, brilliant location, opposite the main station and next door to the metro, staff always helpful, would definitely recommend, no bar but plenty near by.

A nice and clean hotel right opposite the station.
There are many eating and drinking opportunities in the surrounding area, and we liked the fact that they gave us a free transportation card as a gift.
The staff is very attentive, I would especially like to thank Bilaly who helped us.
If I go again, I will stay here again.

Excellent location which is next to metro and opposite to sbb, frontdesk staff Bilaly is friendly and give us a lot of information on touristic spot and nearby bakeries. Reasonably priced hotel

Located opposite the main train station and on the same side as the local metro. Very accessible! Comfy bed. Air-conditioning ws top notch. The recpetion keeps refreshment from the hot weather at the time. Reception was knowledgeable and provided suggestions of things to do

I was so impressed by this property and especially the front desk staff and housekeeping. Perfect location for my stay and felt safe and comfortable the entire time which does not always happen with properties near train stations. Will definitely book again and tell colleagues. Thank you!

The hotel is pretty good, very close to trane and metro stations. The only minor complaint is lack of hi-fi in the rooms. We could use lobby though….

Great location. Is perfect location to start out from whether walking, by train or metro and after a day of sightseeing, being beside the main station is a bonus. Being beside the shops in the station, which are open on Sundays and late into the night, was also very convenient.
We were on first floor and while there was some street noise it wasn't an issue for us and we slept well.

Its a bit old but yet its super convenient to both metro and train stations. Would definitely recommend to everyone who plans to stay in Lausanne!

If arriving by car, beware. Two lanes of taxi rank in front of hotel. No where for us to park. Had to find a public car park, then walk to hotel to check in. Staff advised us to park just off footpath then unload bags from car. Then given instructions of hotel accredited car park which is a 8 minute walk away. If arriving by train, no worries, as station opposite hotel. Think that hotel website could give forward warnings of car parking situation in advance.
