I loved where it's located, the size of the room, the super comfortable bed and the attempts to up keep a cool, cozy, vintage building. It has charm and beautiful decor that compliments the wilderness and community it's in. The staff that I interacted with were all SUPER sweet and helpful. The breakfast had wonderful hot food options and simple cold food options. The Orange Moose has limited appetizers and limited pizza only, so if you're truly hungry, go to a restaurant first and let them take care of your drinking munchies. The selection of beer can be considered limited to some, but it definitely has your regular, no fuss domestics. Again, had a cool, cozy vintage vibe. Unfortunately, our room got a musty smell when we turned the AC to 70/72 degrees instead of the 68 we walked into at check in. The AC unit had a decent amount of dust in it when you looked into the air flow opening. We felt like we had to keep the bathroom fan on the entire time and turn back to 68 cold on a cool overnight, to try keeping the musty smell at bay. The effort to update the paint in the room and hallways looked rushed and uneven. Despite the AC issue I know they wouldn't have been able to fix right away, if they can get a team in to assess and address their whole buildings heating and cooling units for the musty issues, we'd love to come back and stay again because the rest was so wonderful.

Rooms smelt moldy and gross bathrooms and shower were very dirty checked out early due to the overall poor hotel quality

Been going there 1-2 times a year for last 5 years to ride the trails, still a decent place to stay,Room was clean, but need to start doing some upgrades, things are starting to look old. Hot tub could use some TLC. A new toaster and a second waffle maker during busy weekend would make things go quicker for breakfast.

Staff members were great! Property is very run down and dated. Our room (which we booked only because it was the last option available in the area) smelled strongly of cleaning supplies (and not in a good way!) Overall, a very average property that could use some updating and TLC.

We checked into 219 and our room was fine other than the bathroom sink was falling off the wall. We were shown the limited menu in the bar at the front desk. But when we went to restaurant... there was nothing but pizza. even more limited. Then starting at 130am there was a drunken argument for hours in the hallway and the room beside us. I tried to call the front desk but the room phone did not work and we did not have a cell signal.

Make a trip to this area once a year and always stay here. Great facility!

Took 3 tries to get a room with beds made! They kept giving me keys for rooms and when I opened doors bedding was on chairs in the room. When I finally got a room the bed I had had crappy sheets that kept coming off the bed! The breakfast wasn’t too bad and the whole area looked nice.

Bar was closed nothing available in the evening. Air conditioner was noisy and hard to adjust. Bed was average comfort

Was able to park my trailer pretty much right outside my room. Let us check in early as our room was ready. Good food and breakfast in the little bar and grill. Pool was working and clean. Will stay again

Conveniently located right off of I-94. Stay there every time I drive up to MN from IL to visit family in Mpls. Clean, friendly staff, and the hot breakfast is wonderful.

Got in late and just stayed one night but everything was great. Great location and service

Being on the ground floor it was a bit noisy with doors being closed hard. Also the lights and noise from autos coming & going to & from the motel parking lot. Hopefully next time I will be on the top floor. Also when I checked out, I asked for a receipt for proof of my stay & charges to my credit card, I was told I would have to go on line to get it. I don't know if that is company policy or not. I'll have to check all charges, just to make sure nothing was added that I didn't authorize.

The bar is super cute and a nice place to end the day. Overall the room and hotel were a bit noisy (fridge kept popping all night) and window were in direct view of headlights from cars in parking lot.

Picture this, you walk into the bar area only to see the bartender blow her nose, and then doesnt wash her hands, and she wonders why her bar is dead all the time.
