I would not recommend to stay here

Fast check-in, peofessional and efficient staff, clean room. The hotel has a great location and it looks amazing, however there are a few caveats: the spa is quite small and it feels weird to go through the main hall in bathrobe while there is a wedding reception taking place and people in evening gown. The breakfast buffet is qualitative but filled with generic products you can find in any other 4 or 3* hotels.

The property has an magnanimous and historical style. It has a wonderful terrasse, great restaurant, and a fully equipped spa. We have been to the Kurhaus on many occasions, particularly during Xmas's, when the Kurhaus has had special programs, and enjoyed a truly Dutch Xmas. The rooms are nice, and updated. The elevators could be faster, but in a 4-story buidling, it is not terrible to take the stairs to its unique mezzanine and then down to the Kurzaal, the restuarant, and the terrasse. The surroundings of the hotel are full of restaurants, the Scheveningen pier is unique. Shopping is abundant. The beach is accessible, full of restaurants and beach clubs, but also available for public. Wide sandy beach. Overall, many things to do for adults and kids. The only negative is that for people who may be looking for an idyllic environment, the Scheveningen area is a bit commercialized and busy.

The hotel is gorgeous and the beach location makes it even more grand. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and food was good.

This is a 5 star hotel from the outside only. Inside it is maximum a 3 star. The pool is very small and dirty, I had to change room as I got 2 single beds while in the reservation I had mentioned a big bed. This hotel is too expensive for what it is

I was really disappointed. First of all the reception is massively understaffed and not well trained. There were a lot of communication problems and also long lines for check in and check out. The staff would constantly run around and ask other colleagues about what to do and how to solve problems. It felt like only one or two people knew what to do and the rest all had their first day at work. Super frustrating. The room was also not what we expected. It was very tiny and the view was terrible. There was a dirty balcony with shattered glass and joint stubs lying around. The biggest disappointment was definitely the spa. The pool is super tiny and it was full of children. There was no way to relax or enjoy the time since it was very crowded and the pool has the size to fit maximum 6 people without getting jumped by kids. All in all the building is beautiful and the location is also amazing but this hotel is definetly not worth the price and I won’t recommend a stay if you came for recreation.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location right on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and things to do and see right at your fingertips.

This is a great place to stay on the beach, the area is a bit dangerous at night. When we arrived, we saw two teens doing drugs outside, you are right next to a casino. The room was very nice, sheets and bed were great. The tub was very very dangerous. The shower was in the tub, it was a big step down. I had to ask for help out of the bathtub as I'm not too tall. It was slippery too. The breakfast was almost like an American Breakfast, it was really good.

Beach view and access is the reason I come back to this hotel every time I’m in the Netherlands.

It was ok. Relied very much on how grand the place was. The mattress’ were extremely soft. My double bed was 2 singles pushed together so was very uncomfortable as they kept moving. It wasn’t a bad stay just not great! Just so other guests know it’s €47 a day to park!!!!! Crazy

Not what I expected from a 5 star hotel

We really enjoyed our stay here! We spent 3 nights in The Hague and stayed in a superior room, sea view. We were on the 4th floor and had a great view (even with some construction going on at the beach). Since we stayed in February, it was a little too cold for much beach time, but we enjoyed opening the balcony doors and hearing the waves and seagulls and having the breeze come in. The bed and bedding was very comfortable, and the room had ample storage. The hotel was decorated with a lot of art, some of which show historical photos of the property which was cool to see. The spa facilities were really nice too, which was a BIG factor in our booking here. That and the view! There was a steam sauna, infrared sauna, and standard sauna. Then a variety of showers and a cold water shower bucket, which was amazing after the sauna! All the spa areas are co-ed (men and women together), and all ages, so pack your bathing suit because you don’t want to miss this amenity. The spa services are reasonably priced as well! One recommendation is to skip their breakfast buffet. It was very pricey for very lackluster food. We found a spot just a few places down along the boardwalk with a buffet at a small fraction of the price and better quality, in my opinion. There are a lot of dining options within walking distance, and the tram stop is a two minute walk from the hotel. We hope to come back in the summer. This boardwalk and beach look like they’d be a fun way to spend a summer vacation!

A couple of nights on my own by the seaside to relax. The hotel was beautiful, food was great. The bed was, I think, the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Staff helpful.

Firstly all staff were very kind and helpful. The room and bed was clean and very comfort. Most disappointed point was that there was no free parking option. There were some options for parking which are very close to hotel but they were too expensive.

The accomodation is situated in a nice surrounding. It is getting old.

I stay there because of the beach. The views are amazing. So relaxing. Even when it’s not warm it’s so nice to stay there. My go to in The Hague.

I asked for a late check out and was told we could stay till noon. But from 11 to noon we had five people knock on our door every 10 minutes.

Disaster

No German was spoken as descrbed in the description. The staf was very friendly and helpful. I expected more from breakfast. Too expensive for the overall performance.

Very nice hotel, check in was easy, lots of help and support in terms of things to do and places to eat. Hotel room was very nice, everything you needed was in the room. I think for the price, they should include complimentary water. The fridge only had 1 small bottle that was very expensive as with any mini bar. Coffee machine and facilities brilliant. Bed super comfy, room was spotless.
