Staff were friendly and helpful, clean room and comfy bed.

Great place

The hotel is right on the corner of the square in Ghent, it was not too noisy though. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast and bar areas were clean and well stocked. It is very easy to find your way around the city and the tram services are excellent. Have a look around the castle, a good two or three hours to cover it. Many churches too. We are not religious, but the architecture is something to behold. A trip to Patrick Foley's Irish Bar is also worth it.

I liked the roomy and clean bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the fact that we were given some food bags to bag some breakfast food as we had to leave early on our last morning with you.

Room was a bit tight, but livable. Thin walls and adjoining door to other room that was locked made it so you heard your neighbors very clearly, including TV. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lounge was pleasant, all day service. Food was average to poor, mostly frozen and reheated foods. Breakfast was good. Beer was good. Area is right next to historic church, lots of foot traffic & nightlife going on.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and I really like that the luggage storage was in a secured room. The room itself was nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable. They had AC so it would be good on a hot summer day but the weather was so nice we just had the windows open the entire time and the noise from the street and church bells wasn’t that bad. They didn’t have a fridge or kettle in the room but you can ask for hot water at the restaurant downstairs. The only thing we didn’t like is when we walked into our room, it looks like they just cleaned it and mopped the floor, so the floor was sopping wet and kinda smelled weird. We had to use the bathroom rug to dry it and the open window helped with the wet smell. Other than that, it was awesome and Ghent is beautiful!

Perfect location for exploring the city. Easy transportation from train station to hotel by tram. Able to get early check in, good breakfast.

The cathedral and main square are just across the road. Very handy for walking around Gent. Excellent staff. Very good breakfast.

Our stay was great and we were right in the middle of old town which made it super convenient to walk everywhere and take in the sites and enjoy all of the various restaurants near by.

Parking available but a bit tricky to locate, it’d be helpful if that information was available prior to arrival. Nice hotel and room, great view and location.

Rooms are small and needed to be renovated.

I made a reservation for two beds, which was confirmed prior to my arrival. However upon arrival I was told there were no rooms with two beds available as the front desk clerks “associate” had changed it to one double bed. As this is not what I had reserved, or confirmed, I asked for a refund and I would go elsewhere. I was told the room was nonrefundable and nothing could be done in terms of a refund or changing rooms to one that had two beds as requested. There was no explanation of why this reservation was changed by their staff. Very disappointed

The staff was so helpful. I had a couple of challenges and they quickly stepped in and took care of it.

Everything you expect from an Ibis - clean, good price, excellent city centre location and friendly staff. The formula works well. Beware if you are parking a large car in the hotel car park as it is a small area and difficult to manoeuvre

Nice hotel with a really good and central location. Some noise from the street but not a problem. Small but functional and nicely cleaned rooms. Good service at check in/out but perhaps some of the staff should practice saying good morning to the guests.

Great value. Cozy room with a view of St. Baafs Cathedral and Square. Good ( not great) breakfast. Lovely staff!

A basic hotel with a small room. Good for a night but I wouldn’t stay long term. The place smelled strongly of cleaning solution and the floor was slippery under our feet. Very limited storage. One pillow each and one towel each. Not even a hand towel!! The bed was very comfy and we had a lovely view (room 410). Room was ready when we arrived early and the frontdesk lady was very nice.

Great price considering the excellent location. Very clean and decent facilities. Limited food options and very tight entrance into the parking are my only negative points.

Clean and tidy room though quite small, but has everything we needed including air conditioning. The location is perfect and underground car park very useful. Public areas pleasant too, would definitely book again if returning to Gent ( a delightful city),

Close to everything you want to see, whether by foot or public transport. Quiet yet close to the action. Loved it!

Perfect location!

The room was just a little too small. I had to take a dump on the toilet seat sideways as the toilet is right up against the wall. The guy checking us in was great. Room was clean, facilities were good, breakfast was fine. Size of room is what I talk about when I describe the room.

Very central but some comfort handicaps: AC too noisy for night operation, low pressure shower, industrial breakfast suppliers.

The hotel location is its best feature, right across from the cathedral. The hotel itself is dated and needs a refresh.

Room relatively small. No breakfast included. No watercooker for tea or coffee.
