Room we were in was very small. When you open the bathroom door, it's about an inch from the toilet. Beds were comfortable and room was generally clean but felt lacking given the price we paid for an October stay.

Front desk and bell service were wonderful! Room was clean and tidy. I only stayed 2 nights so didn’t have a need for housekeeping during my stay. Staff in the gift and sundry store were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the woman in the clothing store that is nearest to check in desk. I don’t believe I have EVER experienced such an unwelcoming person anywhere in the world! To the point of rudeness! She was even unable or unwilling to engage in polite exchanges when I tried repeatedly to initiate same. Actually became argumentative about just polite small talk. I was prepared and anxious to purchase appropriate island clothing as my bag had been lost at the cruise terminal. Needless to say, I left without making any purchases and took my business to the adjacent shopping mall. What a shame!

Like staying at the Ala Moana. Very convenient location. Only downside was not enough clothes hangers which they brought upon request. Also only one pillow per person on the bed which I think you can request. Would be better if we didn’t have to ask. Staff very friendly. Didn’t see any recycling options for paper and plastic

Great ocean view, but a staff member walked into our room without knocking at 9am on a Sunday 😖. Room wasn’t very clean either, won’t stay again unfortunately

Large room with a comfortable bed. I was put in the Kona Tower/city view which overlooks the loading dock, so sometimes there was noise in the middle of the night from the trucks backing in to offload supplies.

Very conveniently located to Ala Moana Shopping Center. Maid staff very helpful and accommodating.

this Hotel was fantastic. Excellent value and the location (NOT Waikiki) was outstanding. Very easy to get in and out and drive to sites on all locations. Right next to mall with a Foodland (HI Whole Foods), restaurants, etc. Quiet in the evening. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Considering its location in he middle of Honolulu, this hotel offers reasonable accommodation for the business traveler. I would not recommend it for a vacationer.

Stayed for 4 night's on a very good black Friday deal via Trip Advisor. Centrally located near the Ala Moana mall with access via a skybridge through the Macy's parking lot, with many eateries & stores. Rooms were on the small size, but a comfortable mattress. Had to request additional pillows (none in closet or additional blankets) since they were on the small size. Large size chair serves as a pull out single mattress. Fridge, coffee maker & microwave included. Pool & fitness room access on 4th floor via Kona Tower or 3rd floor via the Waikiki tower. Free pool & beach towels, as well as free covered cabanas too. A free map would've helped to navigate to/from Skybridge. Lobby chairs & sofa were too soft, which made it difficult to rise. Water bottle filler near elevators is an added amenity. View from the 36th floor of the Waikiki tower is breathtaking. Walking distance to the Magic Island park. Fifteen minute walk to Walmart & Sam's Club. Friendly & courteous staff. Several times calling front desk resulted in automatic disconnections.

Lovely rooms and staff :) Laundrette is due for an update but the lobby and rest of the building is modern and lovely. There are shops in the motel and also next door in the Ala Moana shopping centre. A short bus ride to Waikiki. Great place to stay for couples, families, everyone!

Everything was wonderful and fantastic, the only complain that I have the bid in room 838 was so soft. I pretty much hurt my neck and my back.. I think you need to get some new bed. That bed was pretty bad.

It was our second time staying at Ala Moana hotel and it didn't disappoint us. With its perfect location, impeccable housekeeping service, helpful and friendly staff and authentic atmosphere it was the perfect choice. Not to mention that far cheaper than the similar category Waīkīkī hotels (including parking fee). The only minor inconvenience was that the laundry facility on the thirteenth floor was out of service during our entire stay, only two machines were available on the sixth floor.

Convenient location to beautiful & less crowded beach, shopping and dining.

Bad costumer service

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Ala Moana for a whole week straight, it was amazing! The room service was always quick and on time and very thoughtful, the breakfast buffet was amazing and fresh, and the staff was super helpful and friendly!:))

I really like where the hotel is located and that it is attached to the Ala Moana mall. Its location makes it very easy to get to several amenities around the area. It is located close to where my daughter goes to school and that makes it easy for me to get around.

We were happy choosing Ala Moana hotel because the parking is convenient compared to Waikiki areas. Super easy commute everywhere, shopping center is very accessible and near 7/11 and Don Quijote for budget friendly food and souvenirs. I would still choose this the next time we will visit. The Waikiki area hotels have only valet parking and kinda hassle for us since we always come and go by the hotel.

Proximity to most locations we wanted to go

We booked the basic room and it was so small that there was barely any space left in the room to step a foot with one checkin luggage and 2 cabin bags. Bathroom n shower were also not in great condition. Good part about the hotel is staff and the location of the hotel.

Hotel is walkable to shops and restaurants. Ala Moana Mall is right next door and accessible through a bridge. Room is small with smaller bathroom that needs updating.

Im a frequent at the Ala Moana Hotel because it consistently delivers prompt, courteous service and the staff embodies the aloha spirit. From the valet to check in, from the restaurant to housekeeping, the people make me return over and over.

I didn’t like the service at the Cafe 101 for breakfast. On 8/31/24 the check in for breakfast was poor service. The employee was rude and not polite.

Always a good time at the Ala Moana. This room was rather on the small side, but it was comfortable enough.

Overall I like the location of this hotel a lot. Walkable to beaches, the food court, farmland and Targets. Very convenient.

This hotel was very nice , the staff was friendly and house keeping was great. The water wouldn’t get too warm which I was a little uncomfortable with but overall tolerable. My biggest issue was this hotel has a terrible parking situation! Many cars were double parked in front of each other due to lack of parking spaces and if you wanted to get out the valet people had to wait for others to move their vehicles before you can get out. The parking was also dirty and sketchy.
