I don't think the air conditioner unit had been cleaned in a decade, it was caked with filth and therefore froze up. When we talked to the front desk they said maintenance was gone for the day so they would look at it tomorrow. We asked for another room and were told that they couldn't move us to another room because housekeeping wasn't there to clean our room so that it could be rented if they needed it, they did offer us a fan. So their plan if housekeeping was there would be to move us to another room and put someone else in the room with the busted AC knowing that it was frozen up and unusable. Freezer in the fridge had so much ice on it that the door wouldn't close. In the second room we had, you had to put a lot of force to open and close because the door stuck. There was an event in town so we paid $188/night for no AC and froze up fridge. Never again!

Everything was okay, nothing really spectacular. Wi-Fi was pretty horrible in our room. Air conditioner was pretty wonky also.

It was a very nice room, but needed some minor repairs. Some staff were very cool, but some were not.

Great place to stay if you want to be in or near Deadwood. There’s a tram that runs every 30 min and is super convenient and fun. The drivers are super cool and fun. Hotel has a nice little bar with great bartenders and a casino. Love it!!!

Room had been recently painted. Not done professionally-smear marks, white spots. Front desk staff was doing multiple jobs, so 3 rooms full of guests were waiting when I arrived. Gulch was pretty. Pizza at Boston’s restaurant on the property was delicious. Adequate for a 1 night stay

We upgraded to the Presidential Suite... It was stunning! Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and the bonus was the balcony on the back side looking over a little creek. Very relaxing and quiet. Will definitely be back.

Dirty. Outdated. Front desk service was terrible. Restaurant tables and bars needed to be cleaned. Bugs in the rooms.

Very nice cozy place! With the creek wrapping around the back it was a very relaxing environment. Added bonus was the restaurant which was excellent. Will recommend as a great option when staying in Deadwood.

Brenda on the front desk /reccpetion was really helpful and we enjoyed chatting to her. We stayed in the presidential suite which was great, however could do with some modernisation, great outdoor area in room overlooking the creek. You do have to walk through a small casino area to get to reception/rooms etc!!! 15 min walk to Deadwood downtown and trolley stops right outside if you dont want to walk..great property would recommend and would stay again!!

This was a great 2 nights in Deadwood seeing the museums and a lot of old cars. Our hotel room was comfortable and the breakfasts at Bostons were good. I’d stay here again

The property was what you would expect for the price. Nothing great, but nothing terrible either. A little disappointed in the front desk service.

The trolley allows you to get to downtown Deadwood, and not worry about parking. The onsite Boston's Pizza was a bonus!

The property is kept very clean, especially the rooms. We had one night with some disturbances down in the parking lot but it's a gambling destination with a lot of drinking, etc. so felt overall the facility was comparable to the price. The staff were Extremely helpful and friendly.

The property is in a beautiful setting. Easy parking. We arrived an hour before check in; were given the keys to our room without issue. My main complaint was with the check in; staff just handed us our key. Never went over the anemities of the resort. Our room was clean, but the reclining chair was broken; towel rack in the bathroom was on the floor.

The room was so small it didn’t even have a closet. The bathroom ceiling was water stained and bowed, and the towel rack fell off the wall the first time we touched the towel. Our room was right on the road so very noisy. This is a motel that Wyndham slapped some paint on and called it a resort. Horrible!

Cute hotel but dated. Front view faces the highway and the restaurant next door. Back view looks at a pleasant creek and the mountain. There is a casino attached to the hotel. For the price I paid, I expected more. The agent that checked me in was not someone I would hire. She kept saying how many people want the creek view because it was "sooooo pretty" as she rolled her eyes. Well, that is exactly why I wanted the creek view. I felt it was inappropriate to mock the guest request. The room had water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. I found a bug in my bed and took it to the front desk. They said they would change the sheets, but I noticed only one of the 2 beds was changed. The creaking noises from the old wooden floor joints upstairs kept me awake several nights. When I brought it to their attention, I was told it is just an older hotel and too expensive to fix. No adjustment to my room rate was considered. The food in the market was outdated and the fridge in my room was turned up so high that my food I had purchased for breakfast was frozen solid. Would I return? No.
