Very good breakfast, beds, quiet, close to everything. Good and sufficiently spacious both bathroom and the room.

Friendly and naturally stylish, hotel Helka made my family's stay in Helsinki. Best breakfast I've had in a hotel in a very long time. Being able to press a button to have a delicious oat flat white is a true luxury! Not being a fan of any form of waste, I appreciated the old building having been left to look it's age retaining it's rich history, which in turn gave a lovely backdrop for showing off some Finnish design (do visit different floors to appreciate this). We will be back!

The tram station is also less than 5 minutes away, so the location is excellent. And the interior is irresistible for Aalto fans♪ The facility itself is a little old, but it is kept clean. All the staff were kind and very reliable. The breakfast was very satisfying, with a selection of Finnish and standard dishes. It was such a wonderful and reliable place to stay that I would definitely want to stay here again when I go to Finland! Thank you for all your help!

Unique decor inside the building. There was a small sauna in the room. Breakfast was especially good. They serve a lot of organic food and local product. Roll over bed was the only bad point. It was too soft.

This hotel was great. Our room for 3 was comfortable and quiet. We had everything we needed. The sauna was a treat at the end of the day. Plenty of dining options in the area.

It was a great stay. Room is very clean and modern, breakfast was incredible, big choice of everything, location is very convenient, 10 minutes walk to bus station and 15 minutes walk to the central train station. Staff was also extremely helpful and friendly, I will stay again in this hotel next time visiting Helsinki.

Good hotel next to beautiful Runeberginkatu 6a Jugend building. Also Hanken university nearby for tasty student lunch. If you are searching for a Helsinki city center hotel near the Helsinki city centre apartments in a cozy residential area short walk from Kamppi metro stop then Helka hotel is great option for a night or two. Breakfest is tasty and staff friendly.

The staff was super friendly, the breakfast was really tasty and a lot of options. Rooms big and clean, with all the amenities needed.

We really like the great breakfast. A lot of options which good be choosen. to makté it unique. Very special and nice design of the hotel. In the middle of the city but we did not recognize any noise from the street. Very centrally we did nearly everything by walk without any public train.

This was my second stay in Helka in less than half-year, and while the stay was OK, the hotel went downhill esp when it comes to cleanliness and "small details". The staff is very friendly and helpful, they even prepped breakfast packages because we were leaving early morning. However, there were two downsides: firstly, the room looked nothing like on the photo online, but was dark, bare and very very simple; and secondly, it was also very dirty (lots of dust and debris in corners, sticky liquids spilled on the radiator, rubbish bags left on the top of a wardrobe). I might give Helka one more chance, but I wasn't particularly impressed this time.

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Helka in Christmas 2023. The hotel is nicely centrally located and forms a good base for both sightseeing, shopping and visiting family in Helsinki

Flawless experience. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to any requests you have. The hotel was clean The sauna was great, it wasn't being used much by other guests so took the opportunity to use it multiple times during my stay. I've been to Helsinki many times, and this is my new favourite place to stay, will return the next time I visit the city. The price is alright and not too much more expensive than other hotels, considering it's in the most expensive part of the city. Very easy to to get to from the Central Station as it's just 3 tram stops away.

I was travelling alone and I am a budget traveller. Normally I stay in a hostel but now thought it would be nice to have my own room and bathroom. Normally this hotel is above my budget but found a good deal so decided to book a room. I had a single room which is nice, the room and hotel was clean and cozy. The booking included even breakfast which is not common in cheaper rooms/ special price deals. So overall very pleasant stay.

Helka was a great discovery. Reasonably priced for the city centre and easy access via Kamppi to the city centre and all it has to offer. Metro nearby and a wide range of eateries. The hotel itself is well maintained and has an admirable eco-ethos. Breakfast is first class and staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
